Gelx nail popped off less than 2 weeks after getting them done

I got gel x with a cat eye. The lady did not know how to do a proper cat eye and had others coming over to help her. She drilled down too far on my nail multiple times. She didn't know how to properly shape my nails or even paint them nearly. The next day my nail was already peeling/flaking. When I told them they refused to give me a refund and said they would redo my nails. I came in and got them redone. Less than 2 weeks later my nail popped off while I was picking up a sandwich at the grocery store. The rest of the nails on that hand are basically lifting off my actual nail. This is gel x. It should last 3-4 weeks usually and I have never had a nail just pop off. I don't want a new set as my nails are already weak from redoing the last set. DO NOT GO HERE.

Definitely come here if you want to be cut super bad, get gaslighted when you're explaining what happened, get attitude, and leave with a toe bleeding :) if that's your jam, this is your place!!! Went in for a pedi and a french nail design (design ONLY) as my nails were already done but too boring so wanted them to add just the white part of the french. Manager in the front says $10 for french design & whatever for pedi. Lady for nails had MAJOR attitude not even a hello like ok & then instantly started talking to her coworker which so what we all do & then 2 seconds later she tells me she told you the wrong price but I'll do it anyway. Ok???? Thanks??? I kid you not it took her less than 5 mins. & it was average french design. Now to the good stuff. I tell the lady doing my toes that I have a small ingrown on one of my big toes. As she's cutting into I instantly felt the pain & that she was cutting too much! MAJOR SIDE NOTE - I have been getting pedicures EVERY TWO WEEKS for the past 20 YEARS! I know how much they typically cut & its so seamless I don't even feel it. So I instantly knew this was bad. I literally sat forward in my chair & put my hand up as a stop motion & said please stop you cut too much & she proceeded to yank out what she cut & surprise surprise my toe instantly started to bleed. UGH so annoyed just writing this SMH. So she starts apologizing & putting whatever alcohol solution & trying to clean it but my toe won't stop bleeding. She wants to proceed with the pedicure & I told her absolutely not & to please get her manager. The manager was "busy" eating lunch which I totally get people need to eat. But if you have an injured customer & there is no one else that can cover for you, I don't know maybe tend to the customer before going back to your lunch???? This is where the gaslighting starts. After 5 minutes.... I go to the manager & she apologizes & said the lady didn't do it on purpose which UM I should hope not??? I told her the issue is I tried stopping her but she didn't listen & did her own thing anyway. Then she said "well you told her that you had an ingrown". That really upset me like OK AND? How does that justify getting cut & having my toe bleed so much??? She asked if the lady can finish my toes & it would be on the house but absolutely not. Why would I risk my other toes getting cut. I left with no pedicure & a deep cut. I went home despite having a lot of other errands so I could properly clean and bandage the area in hopes that it does not get infected. I'm just praying it doesn't get infected :( The pix below are 10 mins later when I got home and it was STILL BLEEDING.

I requested a fill and a pedicure. Sky did my fill and Nancy did my pedicure. I really enjoyed my services. I love love love my French tip and my toes feel so good. Sky was very sweet and pleasant to talk to. She did an amazing job with my nails. Nancy did an amazing pedicure/ very thorough. My toes and nails look great! Highly recommend!

I asked for gel x nada pedi. I love that they are able to accommodate . However the service was not well done. I have chunk of extend gel under my nails , my cuticles are flooded and nicked from the nail tech (Jenny) going over and over it trying to remove excess gel. There are huge mail bubbles and I was tired of sitting there for long so I just paid l. My feet are sore I was nicked and cut over and over I can't walk properly as my big toe rubs against my sock and my side wall is all bloody. It was expensive to be hurt over and over $120 for mani gel x and pedi. I wish there was more patience when doing my nails. They are great employees to talk to but when the job isn't well done because they keep talking to each other in their native language and ignoring your requests it's hard to work with.

I've come to this salon several times, it has always been a good experience (especially w helen). the technician today was kind, and if it were just unclean nails I wouldn't leave a review. it hurt though, a lot. I was bleeding from 3 of my fingers and the technician said I had "thin skin", yet this is the only time I've ever had a nail appointment hurt and the only time I've ever bled from one. I still like the nails, I'm sure they'll last a long time like usual, and the staff was nice. yet I've been wondering why I paid to be in pain, when maybe somewhere else wouldn't have hurt so badly? if I go back, I may request just helen

Sonny did a great job! I like nail art designs and he delivered with his creativity, attention to detail and hand painted each design with care. He was a little surprised when I told him I wanted all of the designs I showed him but he did amazing work. He was soft spoken and gentle. I just wish they did the massage and pushed my cuticles back. Recommend and plan on coming back.

Worst nail salon experience I've ever had in my life. I would give it 0 star if I could. This was the first time I visited this salon, and definitely will be last. I decided to come here only to remove my Gel X nails and get a pedicure. I will say the woman who did my pedicure was wonderful and very kind and did a great job. However, the excuse of a professional that was removing my nails was an absolute nightmare. To start, she began ripping my nails off with a cuticle clipper. Using full force. Inflicting pain. I kindly told her I would like to soak the nails off instead and that this hurts and that I would not like her to do this. She tried to argue with me saying that her method was better but I still insisted. She had ripped off two nails already and reached the third nail. I stopped her for a moment to tell her to be extra careful with this third nail, because it was injured a few months ago and the entire nail bed ripped off. I told her that it is now finally healing and growing and that I don't want any extra damage done to it. She mumbled okay, and as I was finishing my sentence she took the god damn pliers and tried ripping it off. The nail immediately started bleeding because she ripped my nail bed open again. I was so upset and almost passed out from the pain. She showed absolutely no remorse or regret. I asked her why she would do that after I specifically asked her not to use that tool and to be extra careful here and she gave me no answer and instead began DUMPING acetone on the nail. Since she brutally ripped my nail bed, the acetone of course began profusely burning me. Once again, zero sign of remorse. I decided to spare you all the trauma of having to see the bloody nail but once I got the bleeding to stop this is what it looks like (look at the picture). There is a hole that she ripped in the middle of my nail. It is going to take months for my nail to recover from this monster of a woman and the trauma she handed me. I do not recommend this place to anybody. But they do okay pedicures, my feet are quite soft.

Pros: They fit me and my friend in right away with no waiting, they were extremely friendly here, they let me pay venmo. They recently remodeled and the place looks fantastic. Nails done by Cindy and Sun. Everyone spoke good English, which you don't get at some nail salons. Cons: My pedicure did cost $17 more than the place I used to go, which included the exact same things. (But I'd rather pay a little more and have a place that fits me in right away.) The main con is although they are nice here and the salon is really pretty, my nails lifted and popped off after only 1 week. My nails lasted a month where I used to go. And 2 weeks is standard. But my nails popping off after 1 week just isn't worth the money. I may have to look for a new place :(

I had an open mind. But trust your gut feeling. Things turned for the worse when I politely asked what the process was for "dip powder" removal. They said it was the same as the gel removal. But then got defensive and said " YOU HAVE TO WAIT OVER 20 MINS" and I said, I would have happily waited. I got here at 4pm and was in no rush. They charged me for dip removal but didn't remove the dip. When I asked for them to break down the bill, they said my starting basic full set was $47! They did do their best to cover the dip but I'm overall unhappy with the quality for the pricing. They were frustrated at me towards the end of the visit. They were also laughing at the girl next to me who had changed her mind on her color. They also cut me twice, I didn't understand the rush because there was only one person there when I got there. The guy doing the nails was polite and really did want to give me what I asked for, it was just too late after not removing the dip all the way. I tipped them and told them I suggested a bowl dip removal process like all the other places. I will not ever be going back.

Found this spot randomly. Was in the plaza and needed my nails done. So, popped in before they were closing. The staff was nice and they did a good job. The lady went above and beyond with her attentiveness and friendliness- I can see why she has been a loyal employee since the beginning. The gentleman was very serial oriented with my nails. Had a great experience. read more

Love this spot for gel pedicures. They are super clean, always using new tools, and the pricing is super reasonable. I've always been satisfied and they last for a month at least. $37 for a gel pedi is a steal. Remember to tip your nail ladies well! They work super hard! read more

I came here last night after work and when I walked in, there was no wait. Laura is the very kind lady who did my nails. I got mustard yellow acrylic nails (I added the rhinestones) and I LOVE how they turned out. She was very kind and really took her time! I would recommend this place :) read more

I've been to this place about three times now and I've loved it every time!!! Jenny did my ombré blue nails and they look amazing. I have to say I am very disappointed with how I was treated. My daughter and I had a pedicure and manicure done on Thursday. We had dip for our nails. On Friday evening one of her nails cracked. She went Saturday evening after work and the guy fixed her nail no problem. She wanted to tip so she grabbed what she thought was a $5 bill out of my wallet. As it turns out it was a $50. Dumb mistake we know. So I went back in on Monday and the manager said no problem but could I come back because the guy was off that day. So I went back today and the manager wasn't I . I explained to the person at the desk. Took forever to explain what happened and finally the guy who did her nails came up and said no she gave him a $5. Then they told me you need to go back and talk to your daughter. That just upset me. She was lying. It was a mistake and I would think they would be honest and return it. We know it was a $50 because so I had in cash was $55, a $5 and a $50. Oh well, I guess he needed the extra money more than us. We will not return to this salon. More because of how they acted about it. read more

Been going here for years and have been really happy. However, the last year or so has not be the best. Every time I have gone my gel or dip nails turn out thick, lumpy and uneven. If you get a dip "manicure" you really don't get the manicure. They remove the old, put on the new...no manicure...and they charge the same and other places that do a regular manicure before they apply the dip. I have given up on them. They must be under new management read more

Well, three of us went in to here with the intent of getting a spa pedicure. We picked the package of the 20 minute massage each. My lady Jenny showed me the timer and started to put the lotion on and well it was like I was putting lotion on my own legs with the 'massage' she was giving me. About 7 minutes in I finally asked 'Have you stared the massage?' because she literally used one hand lo continue rubbing each leg like it was a bother. Meanwhile I'm watching my friends on both sides of me getting their legs massaged wonderfully! Anyway, I don't recommend Jenny, poor thing! read more

I would give a zero but I can't so I give you a 1. I came for a acrylic removal price was 10$ but my nail technician used no acetone. She only used a metal tool that hurt and tore my nails to hell. Literally can't even open my Arizona ice tea because my nails are so thin and on top of that I'm trying to eat pineapple and my nails are stinging from the fact that not only did she peel my nails apart underneath the acrylic but my skin too. WTF. Then I asked politely if she could file my nails, I had no issue paying more for this but she gave me a nail filer and walked away. Miss ma'am is this a joke. Anyways I will never come back. Even when I want my next set I will stay far far away. Consider me part of the kingdom of far far away from Shrek. read more

I might as well crumple up my money and shoot hoops with it in the trash. My nails are thick, uneven and look like they were painted by 2nd grader. The shape and shade vary from one nail to the next and the length of my left hand is noticeably shorter than on my right hand. Do yourself a favor and go up the street, down the street or around the corner to any one of the other two dozen salons in the area. You'll be happy you skipped this one. read more

It is very important for me to have the latest trending styles. I always get the stiletto shape. Not many technicians can do it the way I like. When I came into the nail shop it was very clean. The staff was very friendly. I needed a full spa day. The chairs are so comfy and the massage felt great. I got a full set get with cateye design and chrome . my pedicure was amazing my toes have never looked better! I honestly felt like I was home . I recommend this place to everyone! read more

I'm really not the type to leave bad reviews but I've decided to let others know about my experience here and save you the trip: I had dip powder done for the first time by Helen, she was sweet and kind, however I left the nail salon with cuts all over my finger especially my left hand. On top of the cut (she already knows it's bleeding) she had to push the skin further down, and told me with beauty, no pain, no gain. Even though the results were beautiful, she could've been more careful! And so I thought the dip powder is much better, the experience was the opposite! I left the nail salon with a heavy heart. On a positive note, the place was clean and spacious that's the other star is for! read more

Visited the salon for the first time in several months due to the quarantine and the pandemic. I felt very safe and the salon was definitely following all new safety protocols. I had to fill out a questionnaire and had my temperature taken. Beyond that I was immediately wow'ed by the stunning brand new interior! All the furniture and massage chairs were sparkling and new. They did a really good job! I saw my regular nail technician Cindy for a pedicure and Tiffany for a manicure. My nails were immaculate. It was so nice to get them done after so long. I highly recommend this place especially now after a major facelift!! Remember to bring a mask and if you'd like to see the ladies I mentioned above I would recommend making an appointment. read more

Good nail salon for last minute mani/pedi since they take walk-ins. I gave them 3 stars because their quality is inconsistent. Some of the ladies do a great job, and some not so much. I suppose it would be a good idea to get the names of the ones who do a good job and schedule an appointment with them. They have a good color selection. Massage chairs are a bit old but still very comfortable. The place over all is nicely air conditioned and clean. Never used their restroom so I can't comment there and as other places do, they sort of haggle you to upgrade your mani/pedi package by pointing out all your flaws which is always annoying. Lastly, no matter what DON'T get a waxing here. I had a bikini done once and it was a terrible experience. Just go down the street to the Pretty Kitty for a wax. read more

I have been coming to this nail salon for over five years and I absolutely love this place and all the women that work there. My stylist is Jenny and she does the most amazing job on my nails every time! She is super funny and chatty which is always a good time. They also recently completed a renovation of the salon so it is super modern and beautiful. And I also get my massages by Ann who does an amazing job. And I get my eyebrows waxed by Liz who also does an amazing job. Love this place! read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would, this place messed up my feet so badly I'm STILL having issues because of them. Don't even consider this place, I have the worst ingrowns now and I also got the worst infection from here too. They have no idea what they are doing and honestly should be shut down. Safe yourself and your feet and don't ever step into this business. This place is running a chop shop and needs to just close. read more

So mad at my self for going in after reading all the 1 star reviews. I have a nail salon that I go to but figured I would try this place since it's right next to my house. It was a Sunday & this was my first time going here & I'm gonna be honest I didn't have an appointment just walked in. The girls are sweet but lack in customer service / running a business. They were slammed & very busy but she said she could take me in 15 min. I sit down & everything's going fine until a client walks in & is arguing with the front desk lady about her appointment... her appointment was supposedly with the nail lady that was working on me. The lady comes over and talks straight at me saying "This makes me so mad". Lol talk about getting your relaxation on. You can guess what happens next, the nail tech then hurry's up & doesn't even leave the mask on for the 10 minutes like she said it was supposed to Lol. It was the worst first impression. To top it off I left with my cuticle bleeding.. Save your self from a waste of money like I wish I did after reading the reviews, I paid $75 for a 25 min pedicure & a bloody manicure. read more

Top spa pedicure specialists are Holly (been going to her for 10 years), Ann, Sonny, and Jenny. These are the ones I have personally used. I am always so happy after my spa pedicure. The shop is beautifully designed in black and gold and the management pays very careful attention to social distancing, wearing masks,etc. I highly recommend this shop for a feel-good experience. read more

I went back to the Finest Nails yesterday after they re-opened not just once but I think 3 times because of COVID and what a surprise! They re did the nail stations, all the pedicure chairs have plexiglass and it is very clean! Greeted right away at the front desk from a very friendly and professional employee! The gentleman who did my nails (new tips) was wonderful! Fast, efficient and very professional. He knows his nails! The owner was very personable, paying me a visit, inquiring how I was doing. I highly recommend Finest Nails! Pay them a visit! This is now my go to nail salon! read more

Great customer service! I went in 30 mins before closing and they were able to do my manicure, pedicure, and wax without hesitation. Everyone who helped me out were very detail oriented and constantly asked me if everything was to my liking. They just remodeled and it looks beautiful, it is also very clean. I got a gel French mani/pedi and they did a great job. I am very picky when it comes to doing the French design, but they did a great job! read more

I'm beyond aggravated with this place. I've been an on& off customer since they opened in 2007ish. I've never had an issue. Although, one time, I had brought one of my OPI polishes I no longer wanted after I knew it was just tapped out& watched them put a thinner in it right in front of my eyes, they shook,& put it back on the shelf. If I remember the name, I'd find it. Anyways, to my now story. I'm not one who typically chooses here but my mom lives close by& wanted to go here. I came in for a French POLISH mani/pedi. I emphasize the polish for this future narrative. We got rushed through which okay, it was a Friday afternoon but still. Then the woman doing my French mani was pushing to get this other pink liquid for my French which as someone who has been getting my nails professionally done for over two decades was confused by what she was pushing. I just went ahead& two hours later, my nails were chipping at the tips. Confused but I had my friends wedding to get to. At the wedding, my polish was popping off at the cuticles in whole nails so by Saturday, I had my pinkies& a ring finger left. When I made the appt for a redo the receptionist was sweet but asked if I could come in that night. I couldn't due to wedding things still& made an appt. When I came in Sunday, I wasn't warmly greeted, the front desk person must've been management or an owner. I was directed to a manicure booth& the woman doing my nails again, bless her, was in my crossfire. This other woman threw down. I was getting the remnants of this pink glaze I didn't ask for& the other nails still intact& she said, "This time, we're not going to charge you,"& I retorted, "Well, you shouldn't, seeing that I asked for a polished French& they're all gone now." She said, "That's on you for wanting that, salons around here would shoot you down for asking that." I came back with, "What are you talking about? As a local around here& never having this issue, this is on your techs now, you can't put this on me." She stormed away& spoke in her language to other techs& then they laughed, looking at me. The woman who had to redo all my nails was so kind, I tipped, got the hell out. I'm sorry but as someone who respects the self care industry, business owners, people subjected to working weekends,& going head on with this woman to make a whole salon silent for the remainder of time there on a Sunday wasn't it for me. Now it is Monday night& my French POLISH is looking amazing. read more

WOOHOO! I love this place because they do walkins, and they have a very friendly ambience. I love how they actually try to strike up a friendly sincere conversation, since more than half the time using your cell phone is a bit of a hassle. Which is great, because other places, they tend to just have private conversations on their own. THANKS JENNY! Jenny was the one who did my nails, 100%! Absolutely terrible. After sitting for two and a half hours for the woman to "fix" my nails after she completely botched them they turned out wavy, I have no idea how that's even possible. She definitely pulled it off though. They also started lifting not even 2 hours later. Go somewhere else!!!!! read more

I walked in on a Sunday because my nails had a hideous hot pink gel on that needed to be changed. I was nervous they'd be busy, but they took me right away! I had Jenny as my technician and she was so sweet. She was detail oriented when removing the previous gel and filing my nails. She also gave a killer massage-- I almost fell asleep it was so good! I'm really picky about my nails but she did a great job. I'll be back:) read more

After getting my pedicure done my foot was hurting from having to be rested on that area for over an hour at an angle. I am contemplating coming here again just due to that, most chairs have a cushion where you lay your feet and although it a small detail it is uncomfortable for the client. I had an extremely disappointing experience at this salon due to the staff's rudeness and lack of professionalism. The technician forgot about me, leaving the pedicure tub nearly overflowing, and when I couldn't turn off the water, I was treated as if it were my fault. She then insisted I had gel polish on my toes when I didn't and refused to remove it with regular polish remover. While there may have been a language barrier, the real issue was the unwillingness to listen, or treat me with kindness or respect. When I politely explained the situation to the manager, she was accusatory rather than helpful, and no one took accountability or offered an apology. I came in for a relaxing experience but was met with hostility. I ultimately left and would not recommend this salon to anyone. read more

I've finally found my go-to nail spot! I was referred by a friend of mine to check this place out -- it's in a really nice plaza and the salon itself is beautifully decorated and is VERY CLEAN. Spacious, good ventilation and comfortable seating. I got acyrlics done by Jamie. Unlike the many other places I've been to, she was very nice and made me feel comfortable by actually carrying on a conversation. She also took her time and and was very careful performing a very clean and beautiful job. One of the main things I enjoyed was the lack of upselling! I love this place. I have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. The place did go through a period where it wasn't to clean, but it has since been remodeled, new polishes with LOTS of color choices and the girls are always so sweet. I get the best pedicures here that I have ever gotten. They do silk sets if I need it, gel or just plain polish. read more

I have been going to Finest Nails for a few years with my mom. I like getting my eyebrows done by Hana. She makes it a painless experince and they always look great. I was referred to this nail salon by the manager at Jeffrey Michaels Salon where I get my hair done, so I went there for a mani/pedi and saw Milan (I think that was her name) She did a good job.
