They did great work before, and I was very satisfied then, but this time I didn't choose them. I read some recent negative reviews online, and their salesman didn't always get back to me in a timely manner about my quotes and answering my questions. I also asked if his company could repair a gate that needed to be rehung. He told me "No, my company doesn't do repairs. We replace." Well, that was not an answer I wanted to hear. So, I then went and got my second estimate, which was from Design Fencing. Their original quote for my project from Design Fencing was several hundreds of dollars higher, but Michael, their salesman, worked with me on lowering the price to my satisfaction. Michael also told me that his company would be willing to rehang the gate that I wanted to be fixed. Michael was very persistent asking if I had questions or concerns. He sent me frequent updates and texts asking if I had made my decision in choosing a fencing company. He didn't pressure me, but he was persistent in his communication, which greatly impressed me. He sent me a link to check out his company's positive reviews, and he also discussed with me his company's warranty policy. I decided to hire Design Fencing. I gave Michael a deposit of $540.00 to order supplies, and the balance was due after the job's completion. Michael told me that the fence would be put up three to six weeks later, which was fine with me. I paid by check since a credit card payment would incur a charge. The fence was put up within that time frame that we discussed. Joe, a middleman, worked with me on connecting with Anthony, his foreman. Today, Anthony arrived with two or three workers a little after 9 AM, and they were done with the project about 12:10. I was told it would take about three hours, and it did. Before they began, Anthony and I went over what was to be done and to make sure we were both on the same page. He then asked for access to an outdoor electrical outlet and to water to mix cement. The job was completed quickly and efficiently. Anthony and his crew cleaned up and took away an old gate that had been up before that was replaced with a new gate. Anthony was friendly and professional. His workers were also polite and pleasant. Even though Design Fencing's quote was still higher than my first estimate from my previously used company, I decided to go with Design Fencing for their great reviews, warranty, and their great communication with me. I figured the extra money spent was worth it. So, assuming my fence will be sturdy and last for years to come, I greatly recommend Design Fencing!

The install went off without a hitch. Ray asked me to be at the home so he could go over the "install Plan".. Not a bad idea.. I just have difficulty getting around again not his fault. The doggie run was installed just before the ground froze!! PVC fencing is looking good about 5 months later. Our carpenter added that it made him "feel good to see quality work like that." Similar statements were shared by just about everyone who came to visit our home during the time that Deck Master was constructing the masterpiece that was to become our outdoor living space in Florida. In January of 2026, Deck Master began building the first of three projects: our screened porch, which to call a mere "screened porch" seems like a gross injustice. This became a cathedral-like space on an elevated Trex deck with soaring asymmetrical ceilings (designed by a wonderful architectural engineer Lou recommended). The entire structure was supported by massive 6" x 6" cedar-clad posts framing a 180° view of a subtropical paradise. Every morning, six days a week, Andre and Timmy would show up with Lou and begin working tirelessly to get the job done. They worked through the coldest days imaginable and hardly ever stopped to take a break. Their focus and professionalism were incredible. When the screened porch was nearly done, we asked them to take a look at our front and back decks, which desperately needed to be replaced. Even though we had not originally contracted them to rebuild the decks for us, they agreed to fit the additional work into their busy schedules. Lou brought in reinforcements to make sure the work could be finished before Andre had to leave for a very important family commitment. To say that I would recommend Deck Master Company is an understatement because I don't think there is another company in the world that could have done what they did. Over 45 years of experience and a deep commitment to their work and business have put Lou and his team into a class of their own. When I called them to make good on the repair they wanted $2200 to repair the deck instead of making good on their workmanship. They used skinny brad nails and glue instead of using SS screws to hold this OUTDOOR mahogany deck down. They barely sanded one layer and the finish came out dark and light all over the deck. Andriy came to our house a few day after we spoke and measured the space. From there he drew up a design based on the details I had asked for. After he shared the design with us we met again (on the phone) and reviewed some changes we wanted to see in the plans. He was so prompt with updating the visuals I was honestly in awe. After we came to an agreement on design and were given the quote we signed the contract. We opted to pay for the deck in installments which made it much easier for us to move forward with. The team was able to start on our deck about 2 weeks after the contract was signed. It was still winter so weather had prevented them from starting sooner. I also believe our timing was perfect because we were able to get our deck in before the summer rush. The team who built the deck were amazing(Gamlet and Levan). They were so kind, the cleaned up after themselves (they had to bring all of the supplies through our basement as there is no yard access). I felt like the back yard looked cleaner when they were done than it had when they started. The earthquake in NYC hit about a week after the deck was complete and I noticed that one of the posts on our pergola needed longer screws. Other than that there was zero impact on the deck from the earthquake it is so strong and sturdy. I reached out to Andriy and he had the guys over within a day or two to add some additional screws for support. Overall it was an amazing experience working with the Vandeck team and I would absolutely recommend them. If we ever move to a new home I can promise that they will be one of the first calls I make.
