After! - A backyard features a section of artificial grass, a brick pathway, and a black metal fence along the edge, with some plants and a brick wall.

Nick and his team were fantastic! This review is long overdue. I moved into a new home in spring 2024, and within a few months, the nicely mulched area had turned into a giant swarm of weeds. We just couldn't keep up with how fast and strong the weeds were growing through. So we asked Nick to wipe the slate clean completely and put down some turf, make an area our dog could use as her bathroom. And it's held up so nicely, now almost a year later. We are seeing occasional weeds peek out on the sides, so we will need to spray to keep them at bay, but it still looks gorgeous and is the right blend of not-fake-looking but easy-to-maintain. And I had a vision with the steps that he made come to fruition, too! Really high recommendation.

Completed backyard - A person stands on a green artificial turf in a backyard, surrounded by trees and fencing, with arms raised in a celebratory pose.

Nick is an absolute PRO to start. To add on to that, he's a great communicator and educator. Nick's team cleared about 700sq ft of jagged hardscape and laid out astroturf in just one day for us! Their efficiency was truly incredible but we really were most impressed by Nick's transparency, care, and honesty. We are very grateful to have found him and his team! Literally the best choice and investment we've made since living in NYC the past 8 years.

Final look! - A backyard enclosed by wooden fencing features artificial turf sections, a paved patio area, and a small bench, with trees and buildings in the background.

I hired this company to install turf about two years ago. By August of this year, the turf already…read morehad sinkholes forming underneath, even though it was only two years old. When I contacted the company, they said it was "probably because it had rained so much." They came back, ripped up the turf, and refilled the dirt. After that, I noticed the turf was shedding badly. When I mentioned it, the installer told me it was because I had a "made in China turf" -- even though he was the one who originally installed it! He then claimed that it was his old boss who supplied that turf, not him. He was originally East Coast Artificial Grass and now he is Astro Turf Guru. Said East Coast sold it to him but the owner is the same name 2 years ago as today. Coincidence?! or Sketchy? I asked for new turf installation in October. The quote seemed high, so I asked for a better price, which they slightly adjusted, and I agreed. When they finished the new install, something looked off -- so I lifted a corner and found they had installed the new turf directly on top of the old turf. I'm no expert, but I'm quite sure that's not the proper installation method. When I questioned it, they told me it was "good for kids if they fall." I never requested extra padding, and it's not the right material for that purpose. Ask any other turf professional, they all say no not the right way to install turf. When I called to address the issue, the person on the phone had an excuse for everything and wouldn't take accountability. He said he wouldn't redo any extra work because the ground was uneven -- even though he was the one who worked on that same ground just two months prior. I requested a refund, at least for the cost of the turf, but he refused. He offered to come back and "fix it," but after how many times the company came to work on it and it's already been messed up, I didn't trust them to make it worse. Overall, this was a very unprofessional company that clearly doesn't do the job the right way. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone looking for quality turf work or HONEST communication.

They pretended to do…read morework in our artificial turf, created a fake drainage pit area that created more problems than before and they are one of those companies that "only like cash". Because that way they can get out of town pretty quickly once they pretend to do work for you. He's a charismatic (although very salesy) sales guy that turns nasty very quickly. They were more expensive than other providers which we initially thought was a good thing for quality work but it turned out to be exactly the opposite. Please don't get scammed.

Quality seemed good, except the rail had a beveled defect at one end that kept me from completing the project. They agreed to replace the 2 foot section of rail, which took long enough to arrive that I bought some rail from Home Depot to finish the project. One piece costing over $200 did not fit. I ordered a replacement which arrived promptly. I then inquired about a return of the $200 piece (unused) that didnt fit. Provided order info but have not gotten an approval to return. I guess that will be expensive firewood. Product quality is fine. Customer service, not so much. Don't bother with their chat application.

My original order (balusters, handrails, and newel posts) was placed on 12/31/25 and didn't ship until 2/10/26--well beyond the "12-24 day" manufacturing estimate listed on their website. I had to call them myself just to get the order moving. Unfortunately, it got worse. I realized I needed one additional newel post and placed that order (#280853) on 2/15/26. I even called customer service the same day to explain that this single item was holding up my entire project and asked if they could expedite it. I was told they would "put a note in." After 24+ days with no shipment, I called again and got a dismissive explanation about how "manufacturing works," with zero accountability or urgency. After leaving honest negative reviews, my order was suddenly cancelled altogether instead of being fulfilled--after I had already paid $174.27 and waited weeks. That's completely unacceptable and feels retaliatory. This company: * Does not meet its own timelines * Requires customers to chase them just to get orders moving * Shows little regard for project deadlines * Responds poorly to feedback If you're working on a time-sensitive project, do yourself a favor and go with a more reliable supplier. JMP Wood cost me time, money, and unnecessary stress. Resolution I'm seeking: completion and shipment of the ordered product in a timely manner.
