Some of the best customer service we have ever experienced!…read more We had been at a ChocolateTown wrestling tournament since 7 AM and had an incredibly long day. By the time we were finally done, most restaurants were already closed. We called this restaurant close to 10 PM, and from the moment the hostess answered the phone, we were treated with such kindness and genuine hospitality. We arrived around 10 PM, and not once did we feel like we were an inconvenience or that anyone was trying to rush us out the door. Quite the opposite. From the hostess, to Chef Suli, to our waitress, everyone was absolutely amazing. They were warm, personal, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. What impressed us even more was the food. Even though it was late, nothing felt rushed. The food was prepared with care, and the food was absolutely amazing! You have to order the Babe's wings, the crab stuffed pretzel, and brisket sandwich with the homemade potato chips everything was delicious ! After such a long, exhausting day, this was exactly what we needed. While great food is always important, it's service like this that truly leaves a lasting impression. We live 2 hours away and aren't able to come often, but this experience was so memorable that next year it will definitely be on our must-visit list. A huge thank you to Chef Suli, our waitress, the hostess, and the entire team for taking such great care of us. You turned the end of a very long day into such a wonderful experience. Truly exceptional hospitality.

So let's start with the good the staff were all very friendly and I was asked several times if I had been taken care of while the hostess was in back getting my order. I ordered the pierogi as a starter and the stuffed meatloaf. Let's start with the pierogi and where it all went wrong. I'm not sure if it is a local thing but whoever thought to put creamy Italian dressing all over them has very questionable taste. It really is a shame because the pierogi themselves had a nice bite and the filling was good but everything was so overpowered by that garish sauce I even wiped them off with a paper towel but the vinegar had soaked in, when you are going to mess with a classic put your brilliant idea on the side (and since it was to go even more necessary). It was bad. The stuffed meatloaf was good giant portion more than enough for two meals. I look forward to giving them a second chance and attending a trivia night.

Also I ordered the special and it was good not great and it 48 dollars for the swordfish special, which is pricey and it didn't come with what it was supposed to, orzo. It came with quinoa instead. And they didn't tell us the price of the special before and I should have asked. But I've never had a 50 dollar swordfish that's why I didn't ask. It's always busy there and it's good now, not great. The sauce changed since I last went. I would give it one more chance.

The building was completely empty except for the staff when we entered so we sat at the bar. From that moment on, Paul Jr. was phenomenal. He was so knowledgeable about all the wines that the winery offered and let us try so many different varieties. We did a tasting and for 6 different types, it was only $5. We were given complimentary popcorn that he refilled and outside of the six wines we chose, he generously poured us so many different more to try. We ended up buying a bottle of the midnight romance to take home. We will definitely make a trip back to visit J & P!

First, some context for the five stars: Tröegs is a brewery, and that's how I'm rating it. As a…read morerestaurant, I wouldn't give it five (probably 3). As a brewery, it earns every one. Tröegs is a cornerstone of the Hershey area and well known around here. The lineup covers their standards alongside newer, more experimental beers and ciders, so if you're there to drink, you'll find plenty of variety. The space is large, with seating inside and out, meeting rooms, and events throughout the year. They offer tours, and the gift shop sells merchandise along with their beer to take home. It's a good place to spend an afternoon, whether you take the tour or settle in and people-watch. Tourists come through, but it still feels like a very large neighborhood spot, and everyone is friendly. If you're waiting on a seasonal release like their Mexican lager, check the gift shop. In my experience, new releases show up there before they reach local grocery stores, so it's a good place to get them first, or at least to find out they're out. The food is decent, but set your expectations accordingly. Think upscale bar food, like brisket sandwiches, rather than a full restaurant menu. I haven't eaten there often, because I'm usually stopping through or heading to an event for a beer or two before moving on. The one real drawback is noise. When it's busy, it's very loud, but that's what you'd expect from a big warehouse space with concrete floors and hard standing tables. Parking is plentiful, with a huge lot next to the building. On warm-weather weekends and at other peak times, expect to walk a bit. The lot is long, stretches well away from the entrance, and feels like several lots stitched together. Other than the noise, I don't have anything negative to say. It's well worth a visit.
