Their selection of cans is not as large as it used to be in the early days, but I think that's because they actually have more taps now. So three of the refrigerators now have kegs in them rather than cans. They also still have a nice little food menu with pizzas and sandwiches and things and I hear that the edamame hummus is outstanding. In fact, my sister-in-law brought back two containers of it to go for a friend in Connecticut who loves it so much I actually bought a 12 pack of Lawson's Little Sip to go. We ordered the Fungus Among Us and it was absolutely mushroom-tastic! If you love mushrooms, you will love this pizza. Their soda machine was definitely on the verge of being out. When coming over with the drinks, he had spilled them a good amount. The service wasn't too attentive or friendly. Granted they weren't mean. The food just wasn't a vibe in my opinion. The boneless wings were nicely moist in the middle, so that was good. Just wasn't too satisfied here. Loved the decor and the layout though. Just needs better service and more options.

Another very overdue review (kindergarten teacher life! ), but this one is especially special…read morebecause Bert and the Elephant became part of our wedding story long before our wedding day. About a year before our wedding, my husband and I were exploring Lancaster as a potential wedding location. While walking down the street, I spotted a giant pink elephant. For those who don't know me, Delirium is my all-time favorite beer, and its logo is a pink elephant, so of course, it immediately caught my attention. When we walked inside, and I realized it was a Belgian beer bar and restaurant, I was absolutely ecstatic. Bert, the owner, noticed how excited we were, and we started talking. Bert is incredible! He is so knowledgeable about all of his different beers and cares about every single detail. He even has a different glass for almost every beer because, to him, the details matter. But what really stood out was how he treats people. Bert makes you feel like family. Before we left that day, he even gifted me a little ceramic pink elephant straight from his decor. I was absolutely giddy, and I still have that little elephant proudly displayed in my home today. I knew right then and there that we had to have our after-party at Bert and the Elephant. And we did! We were able to rent out the entire place for two hours after our wedding. We had an open bar for the first hour and delicious finger foods for a late-night snack. I'm sure you're thinking, "That must have been insanely expensive," but it wasn't! And it was the perfect location, right down the street from our hotel, so everyone could walk there easily. Our wedding day fell during a heatwave, and unfortunately, the heat definitely affected how many people could make it to the after-party. Everyone was exhausted from the day, but Bert and his staff still made sure that everyone who came had an amazing time. They were welcoming and attentive, making the night feel so special. Bert and the Elephant turned out to be the perfect way to end our wedding night. What started as a random pink elephant catching my eye on a walk through Lancaster turned into one of my favorite wedding memories. We are so grateful to Bert and his staff for helping us end the night with great drinks, delicious food, and even better memories.

We made the journey to meet up with my cousin and his husband, who suggested this was a LGBTQ friendly place with comfortable seating for our visit. They open at 4 pm and we were waiting when the doors opened! What a gorgeous venue! Bright and light with colorful decor, I loved the feel here. Happy hour to boot, we claimed a nice modern seating group with several chairs and a sofa with coffee table and headed to the bar to order drinks. And four waters, as it was HOT outside. Two beers, a soda and a can of cider got us started, and after those were gone we decided to order food. Back to the bar for another round of drinks and an assortment of appetizers. French fries in a basket, a big soft pretzel, ten buffalo wings and an order of sweet heat totchos ($2 off for HH). Well that's not very healthy, but boy was it good! The wings were huge and I had trouble finishing them all. US Foods supplies their chicken wings and they are meaty and the preparation was excellent! My cousin loved his totchos, and the other guys consumed the pretzel and fries easily. I am ashamed to admit we didn't take a single photo, not of the food, drinks, our group or the beautiful venue. But we had such a blast and stayed a very long time I wanted to recognize them with a strong review. Bathrooms were clean, bartender was friendly and accommodating, and the air conditioning was cold.
