Specialties
Fine Spirit Yoga offers welcoming, inclusive Kripalu Yoga classes designed for everyone. Led by Diane Fine, an instructor with 32 years of teaching experience and over 2,000 hours of specialized training, this slow-moving approach lets you choose your own level of challenge. Yoga here is not about forced movement; it is about learning to listen to your own body and practicing in a way that feels right to you.
Whether joining in person at the beautiful space in Community Corners (Ithaca) or connecting virtually via Zoom, the practice is fully supported. Generous use of blankets, bolsters, and props ensures that individuals can get comfortable and practice safely.
Classes focus deeply on alignment, breathing, and mindfulness. The emphasis is on carrying the tools of yoga off the mat and into daily life, offering a warm and safe space to support your well-being. Fine Spirit Yoga also specializes in dedicated, nurturing in-person Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga classes, supporting individuals through the transitions of pregnancy, postpartum, birth... and life.
History
Established in 1994.
Fine Spirit Yoga marks the newest chapter of a teaching history that has been rooted in the Ithaca community since 1994. Diane Fine previously owned and operated Fine Spirit Studio until 2020, transitioning the business into Fine Spirit Yoga from that point forward.
In 2026, the business established its new physical home at Community Corners in Ithaca, alongside a thriving virtual space on Zoom. This local history also includes a beloved summer tradition in the region: leading morning yoga sessions in the Dance Tent at the GrassRoots Festival in Trumansburg every year since 1996. Fine Spirit Yoga carries over three decades of trusted local experience and deep community connection into this fresh, welcoming space.
