Always an excuse…read more Then they tried to charge us for things they didn't do, and times they weren't even here working, all because they tore up our water softener system and ruined every appliance in our house that uses water 4 days after starting the job. We had to pay to get things fixed or do it ourselves. Joseph saw the huge expense piling up after 4 weeks and decided he would try to extort us by sending us fraudulent billing to get more money out of us. We refused and told him not to darken our doorway again! He was rarely on the job site and had no idea what his guys were doing. If it wasn't for our cameras around the house, he might have convinced us of some pretty expensive lies. This guy has no idea what he is doing and relies on two guys (though he claims he has more working for him but even they told us it's just the two of them) who work unsupervised and he never even comes to see what they have done each day. If we saw him it was to drop off or pick up a trailer. He ALWAYS has some family issue going, or something at his house needing something, that keeps him from being around. He has no clue how to run a business. Has no ethics, and lies right to your face. We were never paid back for all the damage they did to our house through negligence, plus we paid for pavers we never had delivered. His funny math more than a few times showed he was trying to rip us off. His guys will say they will do something and no one says one word about it will cost more. They left the job and stopped showing up until we agreed to pay HIM more money we DID NOT OWE HIM when we had paid him for 75% of the job, and he wasn't even 50% done. I wouldn't trust this guy to put up a clothes line, much less anything more complex. If you're considering hiring them, I would strongly recommend against it. it's a shame I didn't see honest negative reviews from others before we hired him. Biggest regret of our lives! Now we are out even more money having to pay another company to fix this mess they made here. The pavers aren't even level! Looks like a roller coaster with all the hills and dips! Total nightmare!

Amber then lied and claimed there were "several" attempts to repair my fence. There were two attempts- one of which the roof was being repaired and it was too hazardous of an environment to come and the 2nd attempt they showed up with the wrong materials. They only call around 3:30pm and ask if they can come at that time- no advance notice. The repairman that was sent with the wrong materials the 2nd time was really kind and told me that he brought it up for weeks and the office staff kept sending him to other jobs. This is important for those considering Superior Fence: Amber then said that Superior Fence does not make repairs DURING the warranty period rather, they only make repairs at the END of the warranty period all at once. In other words, I- or you- will have to wait 12 months or however long your negotiated warranty period is to have any covered repairs completed. These unique terms are not on the contract and never shared with me until over a month after I brought my concerns to their attention. Only upon elevating my concerns due to the lack of response did Amber share this. Have you ever heard of a company that will not provide service until your warranty expires? I am stuck with a cedar fence that warps due to the sun and it will continue to happen for the life of the fence. Roger advised me that cedar is most durable and suitable for the TX heat. I paid a premium for this type of material. I don't know what they did to my fence and I have been asking for the owner to contact me and offer me assurance that the company will handle my concerns- yet to no avail. Short version: Overpriced with poor communication…read more Long version: I had a couple quotes for a fence from different companies. One was a small local contractor who was a couple thousand cheaper but I have spent the last year working with a very small contractor on my home renovation, and it's been frustrating so I decided to go with a bigger name even though it cost more. The fence itself would be fine except, on the one side that is most visible to the road it comes to a point in the middle and has 2 short panels which is different then the rest of the fence. They started installing post at both ends and met in the middle. I questioned the crew who were very nice, but could speak very limited English in the middle of the second day why there was two post only two feet away in the middle of the fence line, but he just said that's how it worked out. He did move it to be centered so instead of a 6 foot/2 foot panel it's now a 4ft/4ft. Aesthetically it looks ok now. If he had put a 2 foot panel in it would have looked terrible. Either way, this review would have been different if I felt communication from the agent (Steve) was better. First off, he told me they had plenty of stock in the product I choose. I sign the contract and pay half. No communication as promised the next week. I leave a message and the following week he calls back. He says the product I ordered is now out of stock because a big company bought it all and it would be 2 months unless I wanted to upgrade. It was only $350 more and I wanted to get it done so I went with it. Then during the job I called with concerns that the 2 posts were 2 feet apart in the middle of the fence. His reply is that he will come the next morning but there's really nothing can be done since the post were already in the ground. First I think that's an unacceptable answer especially considering the rails weren't attached, etc. The crew end up working late that night. I tried calling again and it went to his VM. The crew then shows up early the next morning and finishes it. I see his vehicle at the edge of my property after they finish. I thought he had come to talk to me but he didn't knock, call, text, etc and I probably wouldn't have made it to his car before he left. Either way he clearly didn't feel the need to contact me despite me calling twice with concerns.

The kitchen we wanted to create required removing 2 interior walls in the living room, including a wet bar, and a major support wall. It was a massive undertaking and involved the re-routing of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and changing the floor. The structural components of the project, themselves, were a challenge, but the aesthetic updates proved to be an entirely additional issue for most home and kitchen renovation companies. We wanted to update our 80's style kitchen and keep our original cabinets. I was repeatedly told this wasn't possible. Lifestyle was more than happy to honor my wish of keeping the cabinets, while also adding newer ones that contrasted, and even updated the hardware on the originals. Additionally, after removing the wet bar, there was a big space in our original wood parquet flooring. We'd been told by ALL the companies that the wood parquet had to be replaced for different reasons, mostly that it would be hard to find a new one to match the original. As a result, we planned to replace the entire downstairs flooring (a $25K cost to us) to accommodate the new gap in the floor. Haviv's team pieced together and stained new parquet to match. We were amazed by how it turned out! Everything in the space flows so seamlessly. It feels as if the wet bar were never here to begin with, and the kitchen is new and fresh, but also maintains it's original character and beauty. Over and over again, other renovation companies wanted to rip out the entire kitchen to create a new "modern" one. My fear was a kitchen that felt out of place in our older home. Lifestyle went above and beyond to give us a kitchen that truly feels like it belongs. Haviv was spot on for his estimated completion, and I thought the crew was unbelievably efficient with their time, arrived early, stayed late, and Haviv was on site various times daily. Even with the different city inspections and contractors for electrical, HVAC, and plumbing, there was never a day when our home didn't have people working here to get it done. We also have 3 and 5 year old kids running around, and the crew went above and beyond to contain all the debris and materials within the workspace they created.
