After two years of trying to find the perfect bedroom set, I found it all at Fine Linens. Adi (Aidaliz) helped us and she was ultra patient with us. She showed us numerous combinations and was able to help us narrow down our selections. We got home, put our bed linens and are super happy! Her service skills, coupled with her expertise of all the top brands and their old models, vs. new models and her advice of how to take care of the linens made us go back today to buy a full other set! Zero stars! "Fine Linens in New York" is not an up scale retailer as their website leads you to believe. Their website is a scam! There is nothing FINE about this company. They drop ship the merchandise from the wholesaler and give false information to customers about availability. They operate like discounters but charge full markup. The manufacturers that they claim to represent should not deal with them. Shame on them for being so devious. read more

This is perhaps the worst experience with a company that I have ever had. I have never written a yelp review, even though I use yelp for nearly everything, but after my experience with this company I felt as though it was necessary. This company does not mention on its website that it has an F rating with the BBB (that is from a scale of A+ to F, F being the very lowest possible score), however I believe that they should have to disclose that. After my experience with this company I now know why they are at the very bottom of the barrel. I ordered sheets - expensive, nice, bamboo, "custom" sheets from fine linens only to find that they were not custom at all, or at least not for my bed. After sending the specific measurements to my sales rep the sheets that I received in return were too deep, too wide, and way too long. When I called to complain the rep told me that there was an 8% shrink and that I should wash the sheets... let me say this - in no way is 3inches 8% of 15 inches... and if I would have washed the sheets there would be no way to return the sheets. Not to mention that washing the sheets would have in no way fixed the fact that they were completely the wrong color. The most hideous yellow cream disaster I have ever seen. The entire order was placed over the phone. When I called to return the product Steve Hirsch told me that he specifically told me that these were nonreturnable... However this never happened. Steve was incredibly helpful when i placed the order. It wasn't until after I tried to return the product that Steve ever mentioned that this product was non returnable. To make things worse he became incredibly condescending and rude to the point that he was irate. Never in my life have I been treated so horribly by a salesperson. When I told Steve that he left me no choice but to dispute the charge he told me to "go ahead and put my big girl pants on and do so" he also informed me that there was no way that I was going to win he would make sure of that. Please do not waste your time or your money with this vendor. I have already reported them to the BBB and I am writing reviews on other sites as well. This has been an awful experience. Hopefully I can get my money back. I think that i would have rather of purchased cheap sheets from Bend Bath and Beyond for 1/8th of the price, they might not be the same quality, but at least they may fit and be the right color... if not - Bed Bath and Beyond actually has a return policy. read more

Several months ago, I purchased a bathroom accessory set from Fine Linens of NY. The set consisted of a toothbrush holder, bathroom cup and soap or lotion dispenser. The set is in mat black and is beautiful. The set arrived in good time and was well packaged. I was in the middle of having my master bath renovated and I did not start using the set right away. Within the last month my bathroom was completed and I was able to set up all my accessories. The set added beauty to my counter. However, after only a couple of weeks the pump on the lotion dispenser showed signs of rust. I sent an e-mail to the company and was shocked to get a response within minutes. I was asked for a photo which I provided and within days I received a replacement in a couple of days. When I tried to put on the replacement however it was a bit too large. I again sent an email to let them know, and was quickly responded to that they were going to send me an entirely new lotion dispenser. That is the best customer service I have ever experienced. I would definitely use this company again and would recommend it to others. read more

I was attempting to support a small business, and purchased a set of linens that turned out to be poor quality when they arrived. The website mentions a flat exchange fee of $12, but I was charged more than twice that for the return. It is really disappointing as I was trying to support a local business, rather than ordering the same thing from Bloomingdales or Macys, where shipping and returns are free. I unfortunately won't make that mistake again. Call and clarify their shipping charges before you place an order. read more

Having been a customer at the old store I was happy to see that the store received a redesign. The new store is bigger, brighter and appears to have more in stock merchandise. What hasn't changed is the customer service, as I still received the same individualized attention I always had. Dave and staff are always happy to help and appears to go above and beyond to make me happy. If you haven't visited in a while or are looking for some new linens/ bedding check them out. read more

I worked with Sam on an order of sheets and it was a disaster. When I first spoke with her, she was quick to inform me that she knew exactly what I wanted. Originally I received the wrong order, then when the replacement was sent, it was not what I had expected. They refused to refund me, so I needed to place another order at wholesale price. I ended up paying almost $1000 for two pairs of sheets. Sam was extremely unfriendly throughout the process except when the vendor screwed up the first order. She was all apologies when it wasn't her fault, but all defense when I believed her to be at fault. I will avoid them at all costs in the future. read more

I usually don't have much time to shop in and out of stores (online shopping is easier with my schedule). However, I had some time over the past few weeks and decided to redecorate a bedroom. I have been to Fine Linens for the occasional wedding gift, but decided to pop in to use them for this project. I am so happy that I did - while I only used one brand (Sferra) for the bedding, Steve and David were so helpful (and patient!), I don't know what I would have done without their input. They helped me coordinate the furniture that was already in the room with the colors that I wanted to incorporate. I am so glad I was able to be a part of the process, rather than just fill out a form online! I never post accolades on YELP, but felt so compelled to following my experience - I will definitely be popping into the store more often!! read more

i went to fine linens trying to buy some new bedding for me and my partner. i was greeted by one of the owners who could not have been more friendly and helpful. he helped me save money by avoiding buying the name brands and instead going with the quality of linens. i was so happy i went the next day and bought monogramed bath towels that arrived in a much shorter time than i was quoted. i will for sure make this my new linens place for purchasing. read more
