Edward Jones - Financial Advisor: Sarah S Reznick

I've known Sarah for 15 years and she was my advisor for the last 6 years. My dad has recommended…read morethat I move my investments away from her for years based on the fact that my portfolio has consistently under performed the market even though I'm in my late 30s and had no need to be this conservative in my diversification. In 2021 my portfolio did 8% less than the market and 2020 it did 5% worse than the market. Again I'm in my 30's, no reason I should be under performing the market this much. I continued to look past this as I felt comfortable that I knew and trusted Sarah. When it came time to buy a house (Sarah of course built this into my retirement plan) she recommended her husband who is a realtor so we started to work with him. Lesson here do not mix multiple business relationships but again trusted her so we moved forward. Her husband, although a very nice person, was really lacking competitive drive and didn't work out. After barely hearing from him for 6+ months Sarah discovered we used a different relator while we were in the middle of escrow and needed funds to move funds to an escrow account and she was irate. She proceeded to send me harassing messages very late at night through Facebook, extremely unprofessional. She cut off all communication to me and told me she was moving my accounts off of her to another advisor - I had no idea what implication this would cause being in the middle of escrow you can't change anything with money. Sarah blocked all communication from me and refused to assist me with anything I needed regarding my accounts, which was where my down payment was sitting. Needless to say, by far the most unprofessional and unwarranted behavior. She's irrational, unprofessional and also a poor advisor as again my portfolio was very poorly managed. Leaving CS/Sarah was way overdue. I highly suggest you explore other options when it comes to an advisor, Sarah is not someone to trust with something so important.

Earlier this year, we transferred our portfolio to Edward Jones via Sarah Reznick, and within just…read morea few months, took back all our assets away from that company. When we initially met with Sarah, she said she understood our goals and we thought she would be managing our portfolio well. That wasn't the case. Not only was she simply a salesperson and not the one to handle our account (it went into the "mill" and the system handled it), but she ignored the fact that some of our portfolio was in gifted stock and, therefore, had a low cost basis. She talked about diversification from this stock but never told us that our portfolio would be entirely sold so that Edward Jones could invest in stocks/bonds that would meet our goals. Diversification is one thing, but selling everything is something else. Selling all our portfolio resulted in a nearly $90,000 capital gain. When we questioned Sarah, she was totally unaware of our gifted stock, and so had ignored a major part of our original discussion. She will cost us a lot of money when we file our tax returns. We filed a complaint with Edward Jones and the person handling the complaint seemed to understand the issues in a phone conversation. However, in a final written letter, she blamed us for not understanding how their managed portfolio advising worked. There was no admission of fault and there was no apology nor compensation from Sarah or the company at all.

Wells Fargo Bank

The service at this bank is horrible. Why do they not have more than one banker? No one available…read moreat 1:10 pm as they were at lunch. Ordinarily you would expect at least two bankers to cover each other while one is away. Unbelievable. I would give zero stars is that was possible!

I have been a customer of Wells Fargo since 2015. Lately I have been getting the absolute worse…read morecustomer service!!! I had an incident where I deposited two checks via mobile deposit but because the photo was taken off of a computer, they flagged my account. Meaning I was unable to use my debit card or make any withdraws / deposits. Until the two checks were removed off of my account, per Wells Fargo demands. Keep in mind I spoke to 3 different Reps on the phone and went into the branch twice in NP and spoke to two ladies there. As NO BANKERS WERE AVAILABLE. Apparently they only have one banker working per day and when you ask for an appointment, they are booked until the following day or two. They do not care if you go without your money or if you feel that this is an emergency. I called the customer service line again today to see if the checks were finally removed off of my account, per Wells Fargo's demands, and the Rep had told me that she does not see any information on my account BECAUSE IT IS CLOSED! I told the Rep that no one had told me that within two days my account would close completely. I was actually told by two Reps on earlier phone calls that I could still use my debit card to make purchases such as getting gas. I had absolutely no warning! The Rep on the phone this morning was very rude and kept interrupting me when I would try to speak. The Rep did confirm that she did see notes where the two Reps before told me I could use my debit card and she apologized. When I asked "Since my account is now closed, which no one had told me, out of the 6 people I spoke with, how can I get my remaining money withdrawn for now?" The Rep replied " I don't know Ms. Andrews, go into the branch." This was a very unprofessional response in my mind. Wells Fargo is the WORST BANK AND I WILL NOT BE RETURNING! Wish me luck on trying to get my remaining money out of this account as I plan to go back into the Branch, once again!

Customer service is awful!!…read more I am writing to formally complain about my recent experience at your branch involving a check from Chicago Title. Better than a cashiers check!!! I went to the branch, that i opened the account, they knew who I was... The branch manager, Jeff Chen tried to place a week hold on my check. And when i said that i wanted my fund available, He then had the audacity to ask me what I intended to use my own money for and what I planned to buy. I didnt know I had to beg for my money!! At no point should a customer be required to justify how they plan to spend their legally earned funds. I did not realize I was expected to beg for access to my own money. Because of this unacceptable interaction, I stopped the transaction immediately and took the same check to Wells Fargo, not the branch where i opened my account, where it was accepted without any hold or unnecessary questioning. and treated me like a real customer!! Afterward, I contacted your credit union and requested a call back from a manager to discuss this matter, as the situation was completely inappropriate. To date, I have received no return phone call, which only compounds the issue. This experience reflects poor judgment, a lack of professionalism, and a failure in basic customer service. I expect an explanation, accountability, and assurance that this type of behavior will not happen again.

DO NOT PUT ANY MONEY WITH THIS MORGAN STANLEY OFFICE! The brokers there, especially Susan Ziegler,…read moreare far more concerned about their own retirement than their clients' retirement! I think their motto is, "a sucker is born every minute." Truly, I was stupid and trusted Susan, my "financial adviser," and was even stupid enough to tell her so! I did not do my due diligence. Don't make the same mistake I made and trust this woman because she seems so nice. I am far from wealthy and Susan Ziegler put me in Morgan Stanley loser investments. She even put me in a 2 star Morgan Stanley fund that has LOST MONEY for the past 5 years. " She never let me know about the downsides of any of the loser investments she put me in. She only told me the positive things. When I finally caught on to her, I asked her why she did that. She said "because there just aren't that many good Morgan Stanley funds." When I asked her why only Morgan Stanley funds she wouldn't answer me. I have since found out that the "financial advisers" there get more clients and a lot of 'brownie points" from the company by the number of Morgan Stanley investments their clients have. So truly, their system is rigged. Susan Ziegler even told that every new contribution to my Roth had to be put in the same loser Morgan Stanley fund. And guess what, because I trusted her and I did it. But, hey, if I hadn't, she wouldn't have gotten those trailing commissions! With my savings account (as opposed to my retirement account) Susan Ziegler put 1/2 of my savings in a bond that doesn't mature for 30 years!! Who the hell in this economy wants their money tied up for 30 years?! I know I she never told this bond didn't mature for 30 years! Would I have done this? --What am I stupid?! --Obviously, I am because I was stupid enough to trust her. She actually wanted me to invest in another bond and when I asked the bond's rating, I was told, "Bonds don't have ratings." --Total and absolute bald-faced lie! I guess there must have been a helluva commission on this one. The lack of ethics at this Morgan Stanley office is unbelievable. I don't know how these people sleep at night. These people are the type that give Wall Street a bad reputation. I would have been better off doing my own investing. At least I wouldn't have been stupid enough to put my money in 2 star funds that were losing money. DO NOT GO HERE just to let THEM make money at YOUR LOSS!

Up to as much as $150.00 each time. I was told they were going to take 1% a year. Turns out the minute they had my money they took money out for managing and it was 1.5%. They did absolutely nothing but park my money in their funds and leave it. I caught on to their game very quick and took my money out right away. I also am requesting a full refund of all fees. Sadly you always read these reviews after you already got screwed by them.
