Meline with Natural numbers is an awesome lady! Super helpful and good at what she does. Brought a lot of clarity to me and my small business, relieving a lot of personal stress and creating a path for me moving forward. Highly recommended read more

I had done some research about starting my small business and felt lost when it came to choosing LLC or S Corps starting out. Meline not only gave me insight into what I should choose and why she basically broke my filing process up into my next to do list. I am very grateful for the amount of information she gave me in a half hour consultation; that made me feel like I was talking to someone genuine and who cared I take the right steps. Thank you so much! I look forward to working with the team in the near future. read more

I had such a wonderful experience with Meline at Natural Numbers -- she was incredibly helpful as she walked me through the process of taking my side hustle to the next level. Her encouragement, wealth of knowledge and ability to break down daunting information and provide tips was such a breath of fresh air. I left our phone call feeling more confident and less about a path forward for my business. Highly recommend! read more

I highly recommend Meline and Natural Numbers! She has been so helpful and friendly and is really easy to communicate with. I have spoken to her a few times over the years with questions on how to handle my accounting and bookkeeping and both times she has been wise and knowledgeable. Even though we decided not to switch all my books from my current accountant (after weighing the pros and cons) I appreciate her integrity and honesty and will recommend her to my friends. It says a lot about a person when they will take time out of their own workday to give some support and guidance to someone who is not yet a client! Love her!!! read more

I was pleasantly surprised to find Meline at Natural Numbers and am very happy with my Account Representative, Tamarie. I have a small company, here in Ballard, and I had come to discover that my previous Bookkeeper was completely incompetent. Rather than get angry or involve the courts, I spent the money to correct the issue and hired capable individuals. Meline and her team of qualified professionals were able to piece together the mess that was passed on to them, streamline the process and provide me with security and peace of mind. I am so impressed with Natural Numbers I've recommended them (successfully, I might ad) to other Business who were in the same frustrating position as I. read more

The Natural Numbers team of tax preparers at Natural Numbers has been handling my tax and bookkeeping needs for several years. They have staff in both Seattle and Ventura. I have been based in California, so Ventura was a natural numbers choice. These folks are very professional, but also very friendly and easy to talk to. This is important, because I'm not a tax person, just not my skill set. However, I like to know what's happening without the confusion some of my past more dry tax preparers have over info-ed me with minutiae. Natural Numbers made things easy to understand, handled my issues, and had me understanding quickly without burying me in tax craziness. The process was...well...Natural. Oh and everything was easy to handle online and remote. Let the experts do the work and let it be a pleasurable experience. Happy happy happy. read more

I've trusted Meline and her team for over a year now to manage the bookkeeping and payroll aspects of my business. She ROCKS IT - very professional, very responsive, and whenever something funky comes up she steps up right away to figure out what the problem is. All this and somehow she still finds time to go surfing, so I hear. Our company is based in Seattle but distributed up and down the west coast. Her experience and skills keep everything running smoothly with our complex situation. We're a small company and have to be very picky with who we bring on. Meline quickly earned our trust and is great to work with. Her team has become an essential part of ours, and I wholly recommend her. read more

I own a Web design and development company (Capitol Media) located on Capitol Hill. I have an accounting back ground so I know my way around accounting systems. However, I had never run a business before and had questions. I hired the Natural Numbers team on several occasions when I needed help, primarily setting up payroll, and getting into the flow of paying quarterly taxes. I also hired them when I went on an extended vacation out of the country, since I knew I would be completely out of touch. The key for me in letting anyone work on my books is trust and competency. In both cases, Natural Numbers excelled. I know accounting well enough to weed out people who have limited knowledge and the Natural Numbers team new their stuff. Equally as important was trust. I did not have a second thought about handing over access to quickbooks, checking accounts and credit cards. If you are looking for a highly competent team that you can trust with your business, I highly recommend contacting them. If you would like to contact me, please ping me. Wow. I just had a half hour consultation call with Meline and I'm already impressed with Natural Numbers! Meline was kind, approachable, a wealth of information, and offered me some really great tips for preparing my taxes as a small business owner. Highly recommend! read more

Meline is fantastic! She is so enthusiastic and easy to talk to. She has been helping my wife and I start a small business from the ground up for the last six months. She has already saved us money and given us peace of mind. I highly recommend Natural Numbers! read more

Feeling really grateful that I happened to come across Natural Numbers when searching for an accountant. I started a small business and was starting to feel overwhelmed by "the books". I was able to meet with Meline in person. She is down-to-earth and very easy to work with. After speaking with her I felt like she really cared about what she was doing. She was able to give me some step-by-steps which helped me feel less overwhelmed right away. Her associate Tamarie was the one who ended up helping me out with the set up and she was equally wonderful. Again, an extremely kind and patient person as there were a few bumps along the way to getting me set up. She very obviously knows her stuff! So happy to have found a group of accountants that are great at what they do, but even more so that they are down-to-earth, friendly and caring people. read more

Meline at Natural Numbers has been a huge help for our small software company. We've been working with her for about two years--always remotely--and it's been great to finally get someone on board who is reliable, easy to work with, and efficient. We have a pretty complicated ecommerce, with income coming in from a wide variety of sources and reconciling was always a problem. Not any more. Natural Numbers has stayed with us as our business changed, as we switched banks, and as new revenue sources come and go. Meline recently moved us to QuickBooks Online, and now our interactions are even more streamlined since we're always working on the same file. Highly recommended. read more

I run a Web and graphic design company and I have had my books *so* well taken care of by Natural Numbers, for years. I know my way around Quickbooks enough to be dangerous with it, and the Natural Numbers team has done a fantastic job in keeping my books up-to-date and accurate. I agree with the previous poster that the key strengths you want out of a bookkeeping organization is competency and trust/integrity. Natural Numbers has both in spades. I have never had an issue handing over all of my sensitive information (credit card numbers, bank account numbers, etc.) - and neither have the many friends and business associates that I have sent their way, who are now regular clients of NN. What's great about their philosophy: if they don't get the job done by the agreed time/government's deadlines, they pay the subsequent government penalties. They have never once been late in the entire time I've hired them, but it's nice to know I have that kind of guarantee, and that I won't be penalized. Most bookkeepers I've dealt with in the past have been ok, but the owner of Natural Numbers is strangely dynamic and extremely personable - Meline doesn't fit the typical personality of what I'd expect the "typical" bookkeeper to be. She's very flexible and incredibly bright - I've seen her find solutions that are creative and adaptive to the particular business I am in. Natural Numbers has done a bang up job in maintaining my financial records for the last 4 years, and I am happy to recommend. They advertise themselves as doing "chaos management" and they truly have managed MY financial record chaos! read more

She might know what she is doing book keeping wise. She claims on her website she has a corporation but does not. She advertised in Seattle but is located in California. I felt that the website with an Inc. on it was pandering. She does not want to be an employee but does not take the steps necessary to be an ethical business. I don't believe this is acting with integrity. Oh, yes one more thing. Her prices are high enough that one could hire a local corporattion fully licensed and bonded for a lower price. Guess what I am going to do. read more

My company, Killer Infographics, has been working with Meline for nearly 2 years now. She first helped us clean up all of our accounting (which was on excel spreadsheets) and move it all into Quickbooks. Since then, she's handled our state taxes, payroll and so much more. She's ALWAYS prompt in feedback, honest and incredibly knowledgable. She doesn't BS you and her rates are extremely fair. Honestly, I feel an overwhelming amount of trust towards her when it comes to how she manages the books for my growing business. Since we brought her on, an immense weight has been lifted off my shoulders! When I started working with her, she lived here in Seattle, but later moved to CA. Honestly, I didn't even know she was in CA until months later because NOTHING changed. It felt like she was around the corner the whole time. Someone gave her a low score because she's in CA and I think that's wrong. She's a WA bookkeeper, started here, knows the laws, and simply moved her business that can be done from anywhere. Most of her clients are still here in Seattle and she's quick to hop on a Skype video chat anytime you need a face to face meeting. I don't provide praise for companies too easily. You have to earn my trust and be something amazing to get me to even bother with Yelp. Meline is just that. We found her on Yelp and chose her because of her reviews. You should too! read more

I found Meline and Natural Numbers online and I'm glad I did! I just moved to Seattle and have a small business designing and selling hats. I needed some guidance regarding tax and my online business. She spent adequate time with me on the phone so that I could better understand the tax to charge depending on what city and state I ship to, and overall made me feel very comfortable on the phone. I will definitely be using Meline and Natural Numbers service. FANTASTIC! read more

Wow. Impressive. Prompt. Efficient. And incredibly helpful. Meline returned my email, asked a few key questions, and we had my very first Q/WA DOR return submitted within a matter of minutes. As a new business owner, Meline provided exactly the kind of support that dissolves my fear of convoluted tax requirements, and gives me confidence I'm presenting my business accurately and appropriately. I'm pretty excited to have found a trusted advisor (especially since none of my small business owning friends could say they could honestly recommend their tax consultant!), and I'm looking forward to getting set-up with an ongoing book-keeping relationship. read more

I called Natural Numbers for advice on a sole proprietorship and Meline was EXTREMELY helpful. She immediately understood my specific needs and questions and offered free advice. She steered me in the best direction for me, even though it meant I may not be in need of her services at this time, and explained things in a way that made sense for my business plan. She helped me identify the best long and short-term plans for my finances and I will definitely seek her services in the future, as she was very honest and trustworthy. I highly recommend her for her expertise, professionalism, and truthfulness. read more

I am a graphic designer that works with lots of other designers, taking in and paying out money. As my workflow began to grow, I kind of freaked out about taxes. I run a small but growing consultancy based in Seattle. Over a year ago I engaged Meline McWhirter of Natural Numbers to (a) migrate my bookkeeping to QuickBooks and (b) manage my routine bookkeeping tasks. In working with Meline, she has demonstrated a commitment to quality and customer service. I can count on her to make sure the details are taken care of. Since she is located in Ventura, CA, all of our work together is done virtually. I find working virtually a real time-saver--I don't have to travel to someone's office--everything is done electronically. read more

I am really satisfied with her professionalism and knowledge of bookkeeping and QuickBooks. She also offers great tips and suggestions. Incredibly responsive, knowledgeable and communicative - After only one meeting with Meline I can not imagine someone better to set me and my small business up for accounting success. Who knew a bookkeeper could be so personable and professional at the same time? Rather than fear another monthly expense, I rest easy knowing I have such an intelligent and accessible resource to assist me in maintaining financial organization. I honestly feel informed and empowered after only a two hour consultation and tutorial. Hi, I'm looking for an accountant for my assignment in accounting class. I want to ask for a 10-12 minutes interviewing you. Can you help?

For several years I was an Executive Assistant for a fairly high profile CEO who has an extremely busy and complex life and financial profile. Unfortunately, he had a very negative experience with a former bookkeeper who was unethical. I had already interviewed several bookkeepers before I contacted Meline, and I had a very good feeling about her after just one conversation. In my opinion she is extremely competent, trustworthy, professional, personable and a very clear communicator. I worked with her quite closely for over a year and she literally rescued my boss from the abyss. When it comes to numbers and systems, Meline has a "map brain". She can unravel any snare. But the most important thing is that she is a good, trustworthy person. There is nothing more important than being able to trust the person who is keeping your financials organized. My former employer is still her client, so I know he is in great hands. I recommend Meline and her company Natural Numbers highly and without reservation. read more
