We had a most enjoyable engagement photo shoot this past weekend, and Riley Captures was so wonderful to work with!!! He asked for us to create a Pinterest board of ideas for where we would like our background to be. Since the Fullerton train station plays a big part in our lives, we chose that venue, as well as other places in Downtown Fullerton that were aesthetically pleasing to our tastes. Riley went downtown and scoped out numerous areas beforehand so he had a specific plan in place, making the most of our time together. He made us feel that our time was as valuable as his. His lovely bride was by his side to assist, not only with the shots and set up, but she also kept a close watch on any hair or make up fixes along the way!! I am more than pleased with our time together, and cannot wait to see the finished product!!! (Behind the scenes shot below)

Riley was the wedding photographer we were assigned from the photography company we hired, and we feel extremely blessed to have had him take our photos! We got the sneak peeks and so far they all turned out AMAZING! My husband and I can't wait to see the rest of the photos. See for yourself how awesome Riley was in capturing the magic of our marriage! We loved how easy he was to work with, how he kept the fun going to capture our most genuine smiles, and just how skilled he was in capturing all the important highlights and raw emotions. Every time I look at our photos I re-live the joy felt at those moments. If you're looking for a highly skilled, professional photographer, look no further than RileyCaptures! We highly recommend him to all!

We had a great experience with Riley and the team. Riley is detailed-oriented, organized and he prepared us for a successful photoshoot. We started with a phone introduction. Riley took the time to get to know us, our love story, what we are looking for and how he can best assist us. He gave us tips and advice on how to prepare for the shoot (ex: clothings, locations, sample pictures, what to expect on the day of the shoot etc). He followed up with us during the preparation process and answered questions that we had. The day of the photoshoot was great. Riley is genuine and friendly and we were comfortable with him. He gave us tips on postures and movements to look our best in pictures, yet still allowed us to be ourselves. We had so much fun during the photoshoot. Riley knows how to choose the best angles; he is creative and has a good understanding of photographic composition. This allows him to capture many candid natural moments. Every time we look at our photos, we are reminded of the great time we had and we received a lot of compliments from our family and friends. We highly recommend Riley to all soon-to-be engaged/ engaged couples. He surely can capture the beauty and essence of your relationship and elevate it to the fullest with his gifted photography skills.

Above & BEYOND! Seriously, a one of a kind photographer! If you are looking for an incredible photographer, it's Riley. He did such an amazing job as the designated photographer for my wedding. When I was researching wedding photographers prior to my wedding, I was looking for the best of the best and that's exactly what I got with Riley (wedding photos were a high priority-must for me). Having Riley as our wedding photographer was hands down one of the best decisions I have ever made. He was on top of it all - from start to finish. He showed up to the venue on time (even a little earlier then the time we scheduled him to arrive at) and that was just amazing; truly wonderful and beyond what I could have ever expected. I had a vision of everything I wanted to be captured at my wedding and he nailed it spot on! Everything and more. He not only captures incredible footage but goes the extra mile to get to know you, your style, etc. I couldn't be happier! If you are looking for a wedding photographer - I simply can't recommend Riley enough! Within a week after my wedding, several people in my family, wedding party, and wedding guest attendees, had reached out to me asking for my wedding photographer's contact info to book for their future events. Absolutely incredible. Riley not only impressed my husband and I, but everyone at the wedding as well! I am not one of those people that jump online to write reviews often..at all. But I couldn't be happier with my overall experience having Riley as our wedding photographer and had to share as I am so grateful and couldn't be happier. I can really go on and on here but to summarize for anyone looking for an amazing wedding photographer, it's Riley: - He was professional, friendly, passionate and genuine. - He arrived on time and was quick to pick up on the vibe and took all the photos exactly how I imagined in my head. - He kept things moving from the moment he arrived til the end with his professional skills and ability to capture the best photos and locations within the space that pair perfectly - He was friendly, excited, and a true expert - He was well organized, easy to talk to, communicated excellently, and all in all one of the best photographers out there and I couldn't be more satisfied!

The parking lot is consistently busy, so finding a spot can be a hit or miss. Ambiance/Environment: The studio is located inside the AR Gallery. Once you enter the AR Gallery, you'll see the studio on your right. They have an extremely small space with two rooms. One room features white walls, and the other room features colored backgrounds. There's many props from headbands and hats to chairs and stools and more! Some props can use a cleaning, but you can't really see it in the photos. Service: I decided to do a walk-in, so I didn't book an appointment or prepay online. They only take walk-ins starting at 11:30. They're not busy on weekdays but busier during the weekends. I completely forgot his name, but the worker that checked me in was nice, efficient, and knowledgable about the offerings. They provide a large screen with gridlines, lighting, and a small remote. They'll give you a timer, so you'll know exactly how much time you have left during your session. Studio Session & Photos: I chose the 5 minute session with the colored background. You'd choose two colors out of five options. Since I chose the colored walls, let the worker know when you're ready to switch colors. They'll pause the timer, switch the background, and continue the timer. The small remote is easy to hide in the photos. The lighting is perfect, and the photos came out amazing! Pricing: All details and prices are on their website. It's easy to book an appointment online. Since my birthday was three days away, the worker gave me a 10% discount. They also offer other discounts. All details are listed on their website. Highly recommend this studio!

Some backstory...Imagix/Michelle has done our yearly photos for our son from ages 1 to now 5. (See my past reviews). From somehow capturing a perfect moment from our perpetually moving blur of a son (ages 1-3) to patiently instructing four 70/80 year olds on how to hold their aforementioned 4 year old Tasmanian Devil grandson last year, Michelle is a magician/artist...I always leave the photoshoot stressed from the chaos Hurricane Daniel (our son) leaves in his wake....But every year we come back to look at the proofs and are amazed at Michelle ability to capture "lighting in a bottle" . This year was no different. Fortunately we survived the terrible 2's (...3's....4's....) and thanks to time, maturity, and the opposite of gentle parenting, our little Daniel, though far from perfect, is manageable. But we didn't want to make it too easy for Michelle, so we threw in another variable. After a recent canine cancer scare, and recently learning from Google that all dogs, however loyal and cute, unfortunately have an inescapable life, span, I somehow convinced my beautiful but camera shy wife that this is the year we do a family photo with our dog. Some more backstory, if you read this far, our Yorkie, Libby, loves us but HATES the rest of the world. She spent the entire hour photoshoot in perpetual scowl and Volume 11 non stop bark. One week later as she always does, lighting in a bottle perfection. I looked at the proofs with amazement. Our son, we expected....she's done it every year, but how she made a loud perpetual yapping bark into a impossibly cute smile is above my skill set. But I think her greatest feat is how she lessened the "he must be rich" looks gap between my wife and I. My wife is easy, even me with my amateur Android skills, it's hard for her to take a bad picture. Michelle mastery came with how she elevated me to "he must be funny" looks gap level. So why the tear? We loved one of the pics so much we purchased a large framed canvas print to hang on our living room wall. My 85 year old happened to be in town for his grandsons 5th bday so I asked him for an helping hand hanging the picture. I figured he has these family portrait hanging at my childhood home. My brother and I with our full head of hair and my mom shoulder pads captured the 90's to a tee...but what I always remember is the "proud" look my dad had on his face. A look of accomplishment shouting "look at me world and all that I love and created". Watching my aging dad struggle, listing to my aging dog bark in a locked room to protect my dad's ankles, I was suddenly reminded that time, as much as you want to hit pause, always moves forward. It's a good idea to stop and smell the roses, or in this case, look at the snapshot/memories/moments and take it all in. After my dad handed me the leveler and I put away the hammer, and I looked up....and yeah....I had that "Dad" look

You know a photographer seriously wants to capture the best pictures of your baby if they want you…read moreto come back when baby is fed, well slept, and happy. For some reason things just didn't align well with my baby's naps and feedings that day so it was hard to manage a tired baby but they managed to get real good photos of my baby and the family. My baby didn't really smile much yet but they were still able to get smiling pictures of her too. Very professional and works so hard to get the best pictures. I was truly grateful for this studio and loved my experience. Also the picture quality was amazing!! The backgrounds were cute and the clothes were so adorable too!! The price point is reasonable and I'd say cheaper than some others for a better quality. I think the turn around time to receive the photos were faster than we expected too. Truly appreciate working with this photographer. He really seems to love what he does and we are blessed with these amazing photos!!! Couple things to note/tips: 1. Go when your baby can smile. Yes after their neck strength gets way better too. My baby still can't really smile yet and she's 4 months old. I really wanted to push having 100 day photos when she was 3.5 months old so neck strength and expressions aren't expected. 1a. Also go when your baby is well fed, pooped, rested, good condition, etc. makes a world of difference. 2. They give you a looooot of photos to choose from. Be prepared to be pleasantly overwhelmed with photos. If you get decision fatigue then ask your spouse to help. Cause I loved getting the full gamut of photos. 3. They have a wardrobe but if you want your baby to wear something specific, bring it! Their wardrobe is pretty cute tho and fits with their backgrounds. 4. They have set backgrounds to choose from in their studio. The backgrounds are really cute but if you're looking for something specific, unique, tailored to you, the studio setting might not be for you. But tbh all 100 day, dohl, event photos basically look the same...so I would think it's odd to expect something different. I've seen tons of beach engagement pics. Tons of dohl pics with the same backgrounds and balloons. So why complain about a studio pic with similar styles and backgrounds or lack of variety? You're already the unique and different baby/family. So there's that. 5. Bring a toy or something that can get your baby's attention. I realized belatedly my baby likes to stare at herself in the mirror. She also likes her little fox doll. If your baby has a preference for a toy, perhaps being prepared like that will help with the experience! 6. Match your clothes with your family and partner beforehand. Clothes, accessories and shoes too so they look cohesive in the photos! Belatedly realized my husband's shoes didn't match any of our family's and my son's also seemed a little too bright. Oh well. Overall I loved the photos! Thank you again for the awesome and kind experience!!!
