Juan had a complicated project on his hands since all of our ductwork is contained underneath the house, with very little clearance. Not only did the old ducts deteriorate over time, but many areas were also no longer up to code. From start to finish, Juan was professional, punctual, and incredibly knowledgeable. The installation was smooth, and he kept everything clean and organized throughout the process. Since the new ductwork was installed, we've noticed a huge improvement in airflow and indoor comfort--each room now cools evenly, and the system runs more efficiently. What sets Juan apart is how much pride he has in his work, and it truly reflects in the final results. He basically remapped the entire ductwork to maximize the potential of our heating/cooling system. I would highly recommend his services to anyone needing HVAC work. We have recommended Juan already to several of our friends and family. Quality workmanship and excellent customer care!

I see them at least once a year for regular maintenance, and sometimes more often if any issues come up as my system continues to age. No matter the reason for the visit, they are always prompt, friendly, and fair. One thing I've learned over the years is to schedule maintenance visits ahead of time because they do get busy--understandably so, given how reliable and skilled they are. Their pricing is more than fair, especially considering the high quality of their work. Recently, we were dealing with uneven cooling in different areas of our home. Their team came up with a smart, effective solution by installing dampers, and the difference it made was amazing. They've also suggested a few improvements to help make our system more efficient, and I'll be seeing them again soon to take those next steps. If you're looking for a company you can count on year after year, I can't recommend The Air Conditioning Guy enough. They truly care about their customers and stand by their work.

Kevin took $4500 from us, didnt buy any material for the project and didnt do any work. He promised us a refund on text, and then stopped responding and never gave back our money. The most unprofessional and dishonest person I've ever met. On August 25, 2025, my partner and I paid Kevin Lee from let's chill HVAC a 60% deposit for HVAC installation. The invoice did NOT state that deposits were nonrefundable. We paid five days in advance of the agreed start date because he said he needed money to pick up the equipment. By that date, after following up to confirm, he finally responded -- hours later -- that he hadn't picked up any equipment all week and now the warehouse is close for Labor Day weekend. Instead, he tried to upsell us on a different unit than what we originally agreed on, then admitted he didn't have a truck to transport equipment and couldn't perform the job on time regardless. At that point, we asked for a refund to hire a more reliable company. Mind you, we've been without AC for an entire week during the hottest months of august. During this time, he ignored multiple calls and texts from us, but I confirmed through my own Yelp account that he continued responding to new customer inquiries. This shows he was selectively avoiding communication with us. Finally, after 12+ hours, he said he would return only $3,500 of the $4,500 deposit and said that the law allows him to wait 30 days. That deadline has passed, and I have not received the refund despite his written promise. No material was ordered and no work was done and he wants to keep thousands of dollars from us. After talking to other contractors and researching online, under California law (Bus. & Prof. Code §7159.5), contractors are prohibited from requesting or accepting more than 10% of the contract price or $1,000 (whichever is less) as a down payment. So technically, our down payment should've been $750. In this case, the 60% deposit was well above the legal limit so I will report this accordingly. This experience was frustrating and Costly. HVAC is a saturated field so please speak to multiple people and go with someone that's trustworthy. Also, you should always verify a contractor's license status with the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) before paying any money because it's illegal to do HVAC work in California without a license.

I was connected with one of their sales representatives after reviewing the flyer. They install both salt based and salt free systems from EcoWater. My home can only support a salt free system due to the current plumbing- prior to this meeting I had performed my own research and have received multiple quotes. The sales man showed me a power point presentation and then took a water sample. Based on our discussion I was offered a Salt Free system. I was told ,and based on his presentation, that this system descales and also has a carbon filter all in one. This was listed specifically in their powerpoint presentation that was shown to me and my family member. As part of the installation several promotions were included such as 15 year supply of soap products and a discount with future NexGen services. Additionally they were going to replace our pressure regulator and also the control valve as part of the installation- although this involved a back and forth telephone conversation with his manager who was not going to originally cover this. One other issue before signing was that the salesman had no clue about the required maintenance of these units, as all other companies require maintenance every 1-2 years. Before signing he took pictures of the space and sent it to his management who said installation was possible. We signed the contract and I connected with Costco management to also put a deposit down so I could get my cash back promotion through them. For some reason I was enticed with the 15 years of soap products and the cash back, my mistake. However, this is when the trouble started. That evening I review the contract and I review information of the unit that is being installed. Given my background I go to the EcoWater website and review the product information. I see that the unit being installed only descales the pipes but offers no other filtration features- no carbon filtration is possible with that unit, which was listed as being a feature of that product in their advertising. I call the next day and explain the error to the salesman. He reviews the paperwork with his manager and they realize their error. They offer to then throw in a unit that actually does the carbon filtration. So now I am getting two of these towers. Now comes the next issue. The day of installation the contracted plumber reviews the site and says that the unit cannot be installed due to a potential code violation, although this had been cleared by his management to install. Additionally, they only bring one unit instead of the promised two units. They then offer the more top of the line unit- something that would exceed 12K that I am now getting at a discount. The installation has been at standstill as we were told that they would reach out to the inspection office of my city to see if the installation was up to code and could proceed. I am now no longer interested in having this system installed by this company because their sales force are extremely aggressive and seem to not know what they are doing. For those of you who had an EcoWater saltless system installed by NexGen through Costco I would review what product was actually installed as you were probably sold the wrong product. I am going to table this home installation for a while as I generally do not trust any of these whole home water filtration companies. Sorry to leave this long negative review but this needs to be public knowledge of the business practices of this company. It may not be reflective of all the work that they do and offer but this needs to be public knowledge. Thank you.

Brand new AC system- absolutely HIGHLY recommended company!…read more I went with Connor AC based on a friend's recommendation (used for their AC system) and because they were local to me and easily accessible. Consult and walk thru was done by Jarred- absolutely professional in all mannerisms, dress, prompt, follow up, ...and easy on the eyes as well. I put the job off for a year bc it was just too much - cost too much and too much invasive work. I have a separate upstairs and downstairs AC units and the downstairs one literally breaks down every summer, electric bills skyrocket, house never gets cool, different guys adding all kinds of freon and tinkering around trying to get our house to cool down in 100deg Cali summers! Finally my downstairs one just broke down 80-85deg inside the house on a 100deg day. I called back Connor and asked them to update the proposal (post- Trump and tariffs) and was determined to make it work this time. My job entailed taking out my 2 old outdated builder's grade 10SEER fans in the backyard, then having the concrete that was custom built underneath them re-done. Then a whole new 16SEER Lennox top of the line system would be installed. And then it rained. Literally never rains in Cali but all 4 days of my proposed job showed forecasted rain!! Day 1- John and his helper Sebastian came to start the job. Work hours were about 8-2ish. They took time to prep and lay out floor covers to protect my carpet and tiles. Then they removed my 2 furnaces inside the attic thru a tiny 2x2 trap door in my closet! John and Sebastian work quietly and efficiently and really surprisingly make the most of their time! 4 days later I had 2 brand new AC units, got the heat working in these colder winter temps, John even re-routed my ducts to improve airflow and basically cleaned up my attic - which now resembles a fully functional clubhouse! Such clean and detailed work! I'm so happy I went with Connor AC and so impressed with the work done by John and Sebastian. They're quiet and clean and so professional. John just seems like such the can-do guy - so highly recommended and Connor AC is so lucky to have him. Please don't ever retire John, in case I ever need any follow up AC work!

PUNCTUALITY 7. THOROUGH EVALUATION We met with the following specialists: SEAN O'HARA (AC repair) - AC stopped emitting cool air. Fixed issue w/ filter repair. ALFRED BIRNHAUPL (AC leak repair) - Fixed pipe leak from AC and completed comprehensive assessment of our dysfunctional zoning system. DOMENICK ALONGE (project manager) - Reviewed findings from Alfred, provided detailed indication of issues and resolution options with several quotes. Here's why our experience has been superior to previous companies: All three specialists were not only punctual, friendly, and courteous, but they took their time to evaluate our issues in CLEAR layman terms corroborated by photos, and showing us exactly where the problems were in person. We previously obtained a quote from a large corporate company and was left feeling dumbfounded and stressed as they described the nature of our problem in engineering, technical jargon that made absolutely no sense, including astronomical quotes without explanation of the work entailed. We continued experiencing intermittent issues with our AC and heater so we called Friends & Family based on their excellent reviews. This time around, with Friends & Family, we left feeling knowledgeable and reassured, with reasonable quotes including various discount eligibility. We didn't feel pressured by them to choose one route vs. the other; rather, gained the information we needed to make an informed decision that would prevent such issues in the future. Overall, their attention to detail, ability to explain the issues and resolution routes in simple, concrete terms, were far superior than the preceding company. They exceeded our expectations and we much appreciated their patience and openness to answering all our questions. I also want to mention that I was gardening when SEAN was fixing our AC. He saw me struggling to dig a hole for my plant and volitionally offered to help me. He took the extra time to dig the hole for me, exemplifying his genuine kindness and generosity! Similarly, my kids were running amuck and screaming and shouting while I attempted to maintain a conversation with ALFRED. He was very understanding and continued to engage in conversation, appearing unbothered by the chaos with a pleasant disposition. Lastly, DOMENICK was appointed on the day of our son's birthday. He related to us interpersonally and even helped assemble my son's new Radio Flyer bike! I told him that Sean also helped me garden and we laughed about how Friends & Family is a "one-stop shop." Given everything I mentioned, we're excited to have our overdue AC/heater system fully repaired by Friends & Family. We can't wait for our longstanding issues to be behind us, and we anticipate leaving an updated review once the work is complete!

Feeling desperate, I researched and requested quotes from numerous companies here on Yelp. After receiving several quotes, I decided on this one company because they offered the best customer service, made it clear that all my pest issues would be handled, and had unbelievably affordable pricing. A time was agreed upon for a technician to come by our home within twenty-four hours to begin spraying a pesticide mix and to set off a bug bomb fogger. The technician arrived 30 minutes before our scheduled appointment, walked the entire property, and immediately got to work. The tech was on my property for less than 2 hours and crawled under the house to spray every single inch. He also sprayed our two yards, porch, patio, driveway, and around the garage. The technician also repaired all basement screens and other areas where bugs can return. While the tech was making these repairs, spiders, termites, and water bugs were seen crawling out from under the house onto my driveway and simply dying on the spot. This went on for the next hour. Needless to say, I was extremely happy and satisfied with the service I received from this company's employee (sorry, I do not recall his name). He was UNBELIEVABLE, friendly, hard-working, and highly committed to resolving this very stressful issue for my family and me. I am glad to report that since I had this treatment performed at our home, I have yet to see a single insect or any other critters anywhere near it.

We first had another company come out to inspect our home and give us a quote. The other company barely looked inside the crawl space and told us it's subterranean termites and that we also have the other type of termites that need fumigation, but we can just do subterranean for now. When they sent us a quote, I think they just offered a 1-year guarantee. Josh from AABC came out a couple days later and was extremely thorough with his inspection. He walked through the entire house and even went into our attic. He educated us along the way about everything from termites, homes, etc. and answered all of our many questions. He told us that we do have both types of termites, but it's more pressing that we take care of the subterranean ones. Since we plan on remodeling parts of our house, he said we should hold off on tenting it until afterwards, in case any new wood has termites. It was comforting to know that despite our house being over 40 years old and having never been tented, there was minimal damage to our wood. Josh encouraged us to get at least a 3rd quote, but we didn't want to. Josh's quote was roughly similar to the other one (maybe slightly cheaper, but he offered a 10-year guarantee! Moreover, we liked Josh and believe in relationships. We felt Josh invested the time to earn our business. His crew came out and treated the perimeter and crawl space. They were quick, efficient, and easygoing. We appreciate dealing with honest businesses like AABC!
