They were rude, condescending and unfriendly. The last straw for me was when I had to cancel an appointment because my sons school had an emergency early dismissal and I was told I'd be charged a late fee. Such a shame but I'll take my chances elsewhere. There is no room for bad customer service especially in a rehabilitation setting where people are already sick and having a hard time. Such a shame.

He had a picture of Jesus on his office wall and I felt like I was back in Sunday school. This was like no other doctor appointment I ever had and, when I returned to tell my internist, (who referred me) what happened, she was shocked. It was very uncomfortable and I left with no treatment at all. I did, however get the completely out of nowhere lecture on religion which I found so incredibly inappropriate. Dr. Trowbridge eventually suggested physical therapy at his office, after trying to sell me vitamins, I had had enough and never went back. He told me that "if you really want to get better, you will buy these vitamins." Another health care professional told me they were manufactured by him and his wife and many people were pressured into buying them. I could not believe the whole experience with him and the doctors who refer to him didn't know this is how some people are treated when they are sent there. I left in more pain than when I entered due to the headache being there gave me.

Several days before the Corona Virus became a topic of any sort, I moved my mother to Ridge Crest…read moreat Meadow Ridge due to declining health. This was a very difficult decision as it was going to separate my mother from her husband. However, as I would soon learn, it became the very best choice I could have made. From my initial conversations with the Admissions Nurse Daneen, my mind was put at ease by her expertise, her overwhelming compassion and complete sense of caring about all aspects of the move. Soon after the move, I met Danielle, the head nurse of the wing where my mother was placed, and found the exact same wonderful and comforting set of values in her (I am able to talk with Danielle daily to get updates on my mother's condition). This was followed by the rest of the staff, who, again, continue to impress me in every way. Then the word of the Corona Virus made the news. Ridge Crest under the direction of Kim Held, the Director of Nursing, took decisive and immediate action and locked down the facility to all visitors. This was far in advance of other nursing facilities, and has played a pivotal role in keeping the facility safe. This meant my mother's husband and I would no longer be able to visit her. However, once again, the Ridge Crest team stepped up. They understood the social and emotional toll this would take on their residents and their loved ones. Through the staff's loving and compassionate ways they put the residents at ease, as well as their family and loved ones. I am able to be in regular contact with the nursing staff by phone, my mother via FaceTime (set up by the staff). I cannot imagine a better, safer, more professional and loving place to have placed my mother. Ridge Crest is simply an outstanding facility.

The folks were well intentioned and caring but not very detailed oriented. Communication always seemed to be an issue, and my medications were never quite right. The individual therapy was fine, and the groups were hit or miss, depending on who facilitated. The life coaches were just unreliable but nice and well intentioned. My biggest reservation involved our dependence on rides to the store, appointments or to the clinic. Being on time always seemed to be an issue, and schedules would change at the last minute with no communication. I intended my stay to be a six month treatment experience but only completed one month. That's all I could take. I was discharged and transferred to a sober living facility but foolishly decided to continue with Blue Sky IOP for "treatment continuity". I lasted 3 more weeks before reaching the end of my rope. Overall, Blue Sky was a learning experience and like most such services, it's exactly what you make of it. I sought to make the best of my time there but was very glad to leave and finally cut ties completely. UPDATE: Today, I am working on 3 years sobriety and remain hopeful about long term recovery. Now that some time has past, I definitely see how Blue Sky was a major challenge in my post treatment recovery, but I plugged into another program and learned from that whole ordeal. Others have been helped, so like that unwritten Taylor Swift song we'll never hear, "Maybe It's Me". Best wishes to all seeking a sober life!

This place helped me actually get through my traumas with both groups and individual work!! The life coaches were great as well, very kind and caring to each client. And the night staff were always willing to talk (which I loved) If im being honest this place really saved me and I talk about them often. Such a great place to be and get help!!
