This place is a bureaucratic mess....everyone here is reluctant to make a decision. Meanwhile patients suffer. Poor man in my room....I hope he makes it. They did not have my proper meds in their computer system they had to manually change them. I lost 2 units of blood so I needed a transfusion . My blood pressure dropped to 70 over 55 and my heart went afib. I had to receive 2 catheters which I never had in my life. a 1 day procedure I was there 5 days. Since leaving I am still not up to date for my PT and I have had Migraine headaches, A Urinary track infection and just general fatigue from the whole process. I was told by 2 nurses who work there I should not have went there. I forgot to mention on the second day they had to take me down for a ct scan and while trying to swing me from the gurney on the sheet to the machine they smashed my leg off the machine and I saw stars. I asked for a night nurse pressing on the button for a half hour and finally was forced to urinate on myself at 61 years old before a nurse came. I would not send either of my dogs to that hospital for treatment, I would rather try and fix them myself. Do yourself a favor and never go to that hospital.

There is a lot to unpack about my child's stay at Four Winds. The staff is very friendly and…read morehelpful to a degree. We were experiencing some behavioral issues as well as aggression with our newly adopted child. His external MH suggested he go inpatient to be re-evaluated as his medical and psychiatric history was really vague from the agency and county. Admissions assured us that this was possible and they could do the testing we asked for, so we moved forward. Despite the requests for this testing, it took quite some time to get it established and done. We were then told the opposite by his therapists and doctor in that they COULD NOT do the testing we asked for. We were told due to his age and learning delays, however every MH professional we spoke outside tend to disagree. The next plan was that, the facility and school felt it may be best to attend an RTC prior to coming home. It was established that this could take some time to land and make a clean transition but the facility was willing to keep our child there until one was secured. My wife and I mentioned a few times that we would discharge our child home and wait it out that way as he had been there for more time than he probably should have. The facility made it no big deal to keep him there as they wanted it to make sense. A program that was far away accepted our child but they had strict rules for seeing him and it didn't make sense. We told Four Winds we were going to decline and had related we were hopeful a specific RTC closer to us would reconsider their acceptance. The staff told us they would make calls and speak to this facility. Everyone seemed to know someone there. Everyone made it seem like they could get him in. Despite my requests to have our child discharged and pick him up while we wait, the facility told me they would keep him. When this RTC declined a second time, the mood shifted and we now had to get our child. They gave us a discharge a few days away in the middle of our work days. They made it seem like an evening or weekend was not acceptable. We had to have big meetings and exit interviews. I reminded them I had consistently made myself available for discharge but was denied and now it has to be rushed to accommodate them. four Winds agreed to a weekend. We picked up our child - no meeting, exit interview just a nurse with a release for us to sign.

Security/welcoming committee at the door which sets one's mind at ease. Sanitize and mask up if you want. Masks right now are not mandatory, but most of the staff are wearing it. I'm grateful for that. The facility is clean, and each bed is sanitized between patients as I observed for two hours before my procedure. Staff at check-in are very pleasant and professional. They are following Covid protocol and there is glass between you and the intake when you arrive. Very smooth check-in process. THE AMBULATORY SURGERY: very clean Erika, Naomi, Josephine,Karen, and the OR nurses were really well suited for patient care. Efficient and pleasant, and they take the lead if you want to lighten up with a joke or two. A couple of people recognize me from my previous procedures and we're very encouraging knowing I was in a bit of discomfort. Got walked out to my car to make sure I was getting out safely. I'll be darned if she told me her name and it is slipping my mind, but she was very lovely. I'll be losing Dr.Rangavajjula the New Jersey St. Luke's system. If you are in need of a pain specialist, and you live in New Jersey or Pennsylvania, I encourage you to look him up. You will not find a finer medical professional. One more procedure to go, I hope, but this Care is appreciated.
