My first visit was pleasant and reassuring; in the evaluation I explained that I had fibromyalgia and had undergone cervical spine surgery and was very reactive, so caution was needed. On my second visit, Scott spent a lot of time on my neck. Apparently he did something to a cervical disc (two other PTs have since explained to me how this happened). By the time I got home I was in severe pain that only got worse over the next several days. I saw my internist who immediately knew I had a pinched nerve and sent me for an MRI that confirmed a bulging disc and nerve compression. Eight weeks on (and after a ruined, agonizing trip to Europe), I am waiting for a cortisone injection and hoping desperately to avoid surgery. The office called me a while back to see why I hadn't returned and I explained. I haven't received any followup call or apology -- it seems fear of lawsuits rules. I don't even know what to say as a warning; I'm sure the damage was unintentional, but it's done, and it's probably permanent. Just -- be careful, I guess.

You are welcomed with a warm smile and soft voices. If you are lucky enough, Sage will even come over to greet you (yes, there is even an animal healer available). Now relax on the comfortable sofa, as you listen to the music of soft Native American flute playing in the background. Smell the essential oil aroma wafting through the air. Have a cup of tea. BREATHE. When you are finally delivered to your room, it will be clean and comfortable and you will be treated with the utmost of compassion and care.  As your treatment begins, you will be listened to intently, touched with gentle hands, and may even break down "sobbing in tears" as long held emotional trauma lodged deeply into your tissue is finally released. Notice how this "Intuitive" practitioner  is "breathing through your pain" - to help clear it. Relax.  You will be reminded throughout your session, that this is a "Safe Space " that you may be free to "Let Go" of anything which you are holding onto causing you pain. At times, the release of trigger points can be painful- just breathe into the pain and allow it to FLOW.  At the end of your session, you will be allowed time to relax - enveloped in the luxury of moist heat packs or infrared light therapy. You will NOT be rushed. You are always advised that you may rest longer - if need be.  Here, at Wholistic Physical Therapy- your Healing is truly HONORED.  As a Center of Whole Body Wellness, Scott and his Expert team are FULLY INVESTED in your Healing -  as you have noticed above, Scott uses various tools, appealing to "all of the senses." Gently  rolled  into your protocol will be the importance of diet, movement, mind awareness, breathing and exercises to perform at home. Allow yourself to experience the gifts of each and every practitioner here. There is a great deal to learn from them.  On your way out, check out the "Learning Library." It is important for us to be "pro-active" in our healing. Knowledge is POWER!  In addition, Scott has taken the time to explain in great measure the Magic of "Myofascial Massage" on his website. Make sure you check it out.  At the end of your first session, and for that matter every session thereafter, you will "drift" out of this "Sacred Space" knowing:  THE UNIVERSE has answered my call; HEAVEN has DELIVERED an "EARTH ANGEL"

I called the Pawling Rehab Center and told them about my situation. Janet was so lovely and immediately went to work, figured out everything with my insurance and got me in right away. After a consultation with James, he put me to work right that same day. They did emphasize this a lot: it will feel worse before it feels better. I've never gone to rehab for anything in my life so this was something new. I went in with a very open mind and ready to put in the work. Everyone here has been so helpful and kind, they treat you like you are part of a family. At no point does anyone make you feel bad about yourself, if anything they're cheering for you. They do this to everyone that comes in, no matter the age. They truly care about you! Janet, Lauren, Hollie, Amber, James, you all have been amazing! Thanks for taking care of me and for doing what you all do! BTW: this facility is spotless. They're literally cleaning and disinfecting things all day. It doesn't feel like a hospital at all even though it's part of the Putnam Hospital. Way, way different. Highly recommend! Be ready to work though :)

10+++ STARS... amazing. Still kind of in shock... waiting for someone to pinch me because I truly…read morecan't believe how quickly I went from extreme pain to feeling like myself again within a few days. For context, I'm in my late 30s and have dealt with a herniated disc in my neck and cervical spondylosis (hereditary + a bad car accident) for ~15 years. My flare-ups are usually debilitating... days or even weeks of being stuck in bed. Lately they've been worse and lasting longer. This most recent one hit out of nowhere, 2 weeks after I thought I was recovering after a round of steroids and muscle relaxers... I woke up in the middle of the night with intense, electric pain shooting from my neck down my arm. Even breathing and the impact from just walking hurt my neck. I was honestly considering the ER. To add to the chaos... this was a few days before a Disney trip with my family. I found PMR Danbury while desperately Google searching that morning... and from the first phone call, I knew I was in the right place. Christina was incredibly kind, calm, and efficient... she got me in within the hour and handled everything so quickly (TY again Christina!! You are so wonderful). Then I met Dr. Tilden... and man.... there are no words. He listened thoroughly, assessed everything through an exam/X-rays, and got to work with a level of confidence and skill that instantly put me at ease (even though I was terrified to have anyone touch my neck). He used a mix of treatments (TENS, heat, cupping, stretching, adjustments)... and I felt about 70% relief right there. I genuinely couldn't believe it. All of this in 1-2 hours from consult, X-rays, to immediate treatment same day. He saw me each morning after that to keep the progress going before my trip... and I'm now ~95% better. I never would've dreamt that kind of recovery.. I was totally happy with that 70% and didn't think it could improve that drastically. That speed of recovery is unreal for me based on YEARS of dealing with this. I've done PT, injections, meds... nothing compares to the care, precision, and results I've experienced here. Dr. Tilden is truly exceptional at what he does and the entire experience from start to finish has been stellar.. they have everything you could possibly need there + the best in class to perform these treatments. My advice... If you're in pain/limited physically in any way, don't wait. Don't second guess it. Just book the appointment. You'll be forever grateful you did. I am so incredibly thankful for Dr. Tilden, Christina, and the entire PMR Danbury team... your impact is seriously life changing -- nothing beats having quality of life and being pain-free. Can't wait to continue with maintenance (and enjoy Disney with my husband and 3 y/o son ). THANK YOU thank you thank you x 100000. (So much for me having "no words"... ). You guys are the best, hands down.

I used PMR for therapy after my knee replacement and Randy was amazing!!…read more A couple of months later I woke up with back pain and 3 days later I walked into PMR hunched over and almost in tears!! I was put into the hands of Dr Craig Tilden. This man saved me. The pain I was experiencing was excruciating!! Over the next month the Doc put me back together. If it wasn't for Dr Tilden I may have ended up on a surgeons table and no one really wants that. I highly recommend therapy first over surgery. So thank you Dr Tilden for everything. You are the best!!! And the staff at PMR is friendly and caring. Thanks to all Mikel D
