Tiny coffee shop, had their ube lavender latte, loved it! Nice subtle taste of both ube and lavender. Would return to try other flavors. Friendly service too.

$7.50 for a latte the size of my palm. The latte itself was good, I got the Ube latte. Couldn't really taste the Ube unfortunately but still tasty. Wouldn't go again since there's a thousand options nearby and nothing too special about the place

I had an Iced Lemon Cappuccino and it was fabulous! Perfect for a warm day - so refreshing. The gentleman behind the counter was so polite and welcoming. The music was chill and there were a few seats to rest on. I recommend this cute little shop!

Cute coffee spot with a clean aesthetic. There is seating inside and outside. There is no bathroom available. The man there was really nice, and when we asked about closing time (since we got there half an hour before the listed closing), he said they were staying open an extra half hour today! I appreciated the little shortbread square that was perched on top of our drinks :)

Came across this cute cafe the other day and had to come in to take a look. It was a Saturday afternoon and wasn't too packed, and there seemed to be seats available throughout the afternoon, but many people stopped by to pick up coffee. I tried their matcha lavender latte (as a huge fan of floral lattes), and it did not disappoint. They also have other fun flavors I'll try in the future. Studied for a bit while enjoying the atmosphere here, and it did make a nice quaint study spot albeit a small cafe with no restrooms. Overall, I had a great experience here and will definitely return :)

Tried the iced bourbon mocha with an extra shot of espresso Not what you expect when you're paying $9 ($8, if you don't count the shot) It tasted like any other iced coffee drink Recommend you go elsewhere if you're looking for a place to sit too Small and only has 3 small tables and a place for 2 more by the window

I loved the unique flavors here! I got the ube lavender latte. The lavender flavor definitely overpowered the ube, but this drink was still pretty good. The ube was mixed in well and there weren't any clumps.

So happy I found this place on the UWS since Starbucks closed nearby. Small but clean and quick. My go to spot in the area for coffee and drinks. I love all the different types of drinks you could get here (including teas) and different style coffees. Definitely love the lattes here.

Cute spot on the upper west side! We tried the matcha latte, the hojicha latte, and the teddy bear financier. The drinks and pastry was great. Nice clean shop with friendly service. Highly recommend.

Extremely worth it for the price! The cup is huge and it's not super sweet or heavy at all. I highly recommend the Thai iced coffee (super unique & tasty).

11/08/21 Pretty Good coffee and relaxing atmosphere!

Friendly place with excellent coffee. They know how to make a very foamy cappuccino. As Hemingway said, "a clean-well-lit place."

The hype certainly stilll lives here, as we waited about an hour before being seated. Luckily, we didn't have to wait in line the whole time and wandered the neighborhood. When we were seated, service was quick and attentive. The staff are friendly at answering questions, and the smells are fantastic. We got the pho, bun bo hue, and the Banh cuon. The banh cuon was excellent, great flavor and texture. The pho is different from BAE, with the noodles here being the classic thin pho noodles. The broth is also much lighter, almost like a southern style. The bun Bo hue was ok. Tbh, it was a bit light in flavor, and there was really just a little spice in it that carried it. Otherwise, I wouldn't get it again. Overall, the spot is good, but the flavors just weren't quite there for me. I've heard great things about the banh mis here, but given the soup I had, I wouldn't come to this spot and would rather just visit the union square location. Wish I could give 3.5 stars.

First of all, I have to mention the prices: we got 6 pastries and 2 hot chocolates for just over $40: a steal in this economy. Second, it was mostly authentic: the "francia krémes" (which they call a "Napoleon" here for some reason) was quite close to how they serve it in Hungary, save for the caramelized and sickeningly sugary top (which I skipped). The "dobos torta" had the reverse problem: its top--the eponymous "drum"--was authentic, but the meat of it far, far too chocolatey. Guys, a slice of "dobos" is NOT supposed to put you in a diabetic coma! It is not even meant to be very chocolatey! It is supposed to be much more subtle, even savory. The pastries we took home, which included several "rétesek," received high reviews as well. The servers were nice, but did not speak Hungarian. My only other critique would be that the space is incredibly cramped. You will be elbow-to-elbow with various Columbia students. My companion also told me the bathroom was filthy. If you're OK with these rougher spots, though, this cozy café is worth a visit if you want a peak at the "old country."
