    Love the local diner mugs!

We were in the Hershey area for less than 24 hours and tried to find a great place for breakfast. Another place had a 45-minute wait (on a Saturday), so we went to Plan B. Found this charmer! The three of us sat at the counter (great decision, as we didn't have to wait for a table). We not only had a fabulous breakfast meal, but wonderful exchanges with the entire staff -- such great folks all around! The food is spectacular! Love the fact that they do not overs salt anything, but if you want to add it - shakers are everywhere. Excellent diner coffee! Mini croissant slider breakfast is outstanding! My daughter thought the pumpkin pancakes were the bomb (she asked for the addition of chocolate chips -- no problem at all!) I wish we were in the area regularly so we could visit this place more often!

What a great little spot! This is a cute little diner. I went around 10:00 on a Friday morning. I wasn't expecting it to be packed and having to wait for a table. But - I know that's a sign the food must be good, so I was happy to wait to try this place out! I got one of their specialty pancakes. YUM! I also ordered a side of bacon (cause why not?!) And enjoyed a cup of Lipton hot tea with my meal (a very diner type of tea!) I very much enjoyed my food. We'll be back to try other items on the menu. And to snag some donuts- we were too late to get any this time. It appears that the donuts sell out quickly. They must be really good! The people working there were all very nice too. They spoke about a shop up the street that we ended up going to afterwards to check out. Great recommendation.

Eh, it was okay. My coworker and I visited for lunch. This is a popular place with locals and is usually crowded and today was no different. We both got breakfast including chocolate chip pancakes and omelets. My toast was dry and dark just like I asked. Our omelets were both ordered "fluffy" rather than folded. The omelets were large but mine was lacking in flavor even though it was full of ingredients like peppers, onions, and ham. My coworker said her home fries were nearly raw which seemed surprising since they seemed to have an attractive brown color to them. And she complained that her chocolate chip pancake was overcooked. In fact, I could see the scorched chocolate chips in mine but they didn't bother me because I like everything slightly overdone versus underdone. Overall, I'd probably leave 3.5 stars and coworker would say 3 so 3 stars for us. I've gone before and will go again because it's fast and the food's pretty good but neither of us lived our meals.

Great food. Wonderful staff. Cute place to stop while we were in town. Hotcakes were the main star for me.

Very nice local mom and pop shop close enough to Hersey Pa while visiting Chocolate World. Very busy on a Thursday morning no tables available so we made do with sitting at the breakfast bar. Service was pretty quick even with it being a full house and two people working the floor. Food was on point. I personally ate the cheeseburger omelette and that hit the spot. Kids got pancakes and sausage , the other kid got strawberry pancakes and the other half got an everything bagel with jelly and crème cheese. Let's not to forget to mention they have a donut shop inside home made. Wow....and that's like a hit all by itself. Numerous people just coming in for a dozen donuts. Definitely a place to check out. Glad I came here and not Bob Evans. And thanks for not playing any weird music it was nice and peaceful.

As expected for a Saturday morning full but there were tables. Hear the chatter of diners. However as soon as we walked in a counter person pointed out my son was tall and soon the whole place was staring and commenting ( a little annoyed) ordered anyway the food came out promptly generous sized portions. The food was fresh! Coffee refills quickly. Check out smooth I could see they do a lot of donut sale grabbed 3 of those to try later.

Honky eggs, toasted coconut, peanut butter cream filled and a sour cream donuts.

Great friendly local diner with excellent food and homemade donuts. Meat lovers omelette l, cream chipped beef and Honky eggs were so good. First-timer but will definitely return. Donuts are made fresh daily but not available on Mondays. The staff all had Cafe du Monde tee shirts on which seemed odd since the restaurant is called the Filling Station. Sometime in the past while traveling, the staff brought T-shirts for each other The customers loved the idea and now bring T-shirts for them. In all they have over 300 sets of T-shirts!

Perfect breakfast. Couldn't have asked for better. The staff was courteous, quick and responsive. The food was amazing, and choices plenty. I had an omelette they asked if I would like it fluffy or flat??? Who does that? What attention to detail!!! The donuts are out of this world. Exactly what you want from an old school donut shop. Ohhhh they don't serve them on Mondays so incase you are reading this... no donut Mondays. You have to come here for that real diner experience. Real flavor. Real people. Get here real fast....

I decided it was finally time for a little solo date night... with Massimos Italian Bakery. Nearly…read more6pm on a Friday, walking in alone, knowing I could choose anything I wanted and then sit at a cozy little table to destroy every last crumb in absolute peace? That's my love language. When I arrived, I was person three of three in the small bakery. Quiet and calm, except for a man around my age and a younger boy chatting at a table about basically every topic under the sun. The vibe was gentle, warm, and perfectly unhurried. I took my time browsing their pastry cases--very full pastry cases--and genuinely could have eaten one of everything. But tonight was a dessert-only mission, so I narrowed it down to two knockout items. First up: the easiest decision I've made in months. A HUGE chocolate-dipped cannoli roll filled with hazelnut crème. This masterpiece was absolutely heavenly. The chocolate coating was thick and rich (the kind that snaps when you bite it). The cannoli shell stayed crunchy, which is rare and beautiful. And the hazelnut crème? Smooth, whipped, sweet in that refined way where you feel delighted, not diabetic. Perfection. My second pick was smaller but impossible to leave behind: a Pistachio roll with glossy sweet frosting on the outside, perched on a crunchy cannoli puff, absolutely stuffed with pistachio filling. And let me tell you--this filling was to die for. Sweet, silky, pistachio-forward without veering into "pure nut paste" territory. Pistachio in baked goods can be hit-or-miss for me, but Massimo's nailed the balance. Honestly, they've nailed everything I've ever had from here. My total came to $10.20 including tip, and the value felt spot-on for the size, flavor, and quality of the pastries. Plenty of free parking right out front since it's in a small strip mall. And can we talk about their hours? They're open 7am-7pm, Tuesday through Sunday (closed on Mondays), which is practically unheard of for local bakeries. Those long hours make Massimo's an unbeatable post-dinner dessert stop or a sweet late-afternoon pick-me-up. Friendly staff, gorgeous pastries, shelves of grab-and-go treats, and the peaceful ambiance of a bakery that doesn't rush you. My first solo trip definitely won't be my last. Highly recommend treating yourself. You deserve it.

Hello my fruitcake filled friends! Happy holidays and a grand new year to you…read more Cupcakes. I love them. They're basically tiny cakes pretending to be casual. I was in charge of dessert for the family Christmas gathering, so naturally, the pressure was on. I did a quick Yelp search, picked this place, and--wow--am I glad I did. It's tucked away in a little shopping village, but it was worth the search. The first good sign? People were streaming in and out with pick up orders of baked goods. I knew these folks were locals and knew what they were doing. Always trust the locals. I called ahead and talked a guy (I think he was the owner) who walked me through all my options and made it really easy. He even gave me tips on storage because the weather was colder than a refrigerator. He told me I could keep them in our vehicle, since we were staying at a hotel. He was right--the cupcakes stayed perfect. And they weren't just pretty--they tasted incredible. Moist, spongy, perfectly sweet. The icing? Light, fluffy, not too sweet--basically, it was the cupcake version of Goldilocks. . My personal favorite was the chocolate with caramel icing and drizzle. Unreal. My mom--87 years old--devoured a cookie dough cupcake that was huge. She didn't leave a crumb, which made me happy because getting her to eat is difficult. Bottom line--if I'm ever back in Hershey, this bakery is my first stop. They had a lot of really beautiful bakes on display. There is no inside seating but there's outside seating if the weather is conducive. If you're a local, and you haven't been there yet, you need to go.

Creation Bakery & Desserts is such a cute, niche spot with a great variety of cupcakes and sweet…read moretreats. Everything looked so good, it was honestly hard to choose! I picked up the salted caramel, Biscoff, chocolate, and vanilla cupcakes but my family got to three of them before I even had the chance to taste them, which should tell you something right there I did get to try the Biscoff cupcake, and it was absolutely delicious. It had more of a pound cake consistency, but it was still moist and rich without feeling too heavy. The real standout, though, was the icing it was so light and airy, more like a whipped frosting than the usual dense kind. It balanced the cupcake perfectly and made the whole thing feel indulgent without being overwhelming. Definitely worth every calorie.
