Honestly loved this place but today when I went I noticed a cockroach scurry across the floor. Really disappointed because I love the food/coffee and the service is always great.

We went to Figaro Coffee House for brunch before shopping at Ottawa Trainyards. Their Matcha Latte ($4.80) was the best one we've ever tasted in Ottawa so far! Earthy, creamy, a little sweet - it was perfection according to my wife who loves her matcha lattes! Their Cappuccino ($4.25) was also pretty great, being very smooth. We ordered the Ham & Cheese Croissant ($6.25) as well as the Italian sandwich ($8.75) and a Blueberry Muffin ($2.50). Everything was very fresh and delicious. The Blueberry Muffin was the best one I have tasted in a long time. Perfectly soft inside and with just the right amount of streusel-like crumbly texture on top. Figaro has a cool vibe to it with black and white decor, lots of patrons coming and going and friendly staff.

Really nice spot for what feels like 'suburbs' of Ottawa. High ceilings, nice staff. Good espresso!

In the times of Covid having a coffee out is an outing and a pleasure . So I drove from across town from kanta to try this coffee shop. Fancy high ceilings and sharp decor. Super friendly staff . The coffee was ok, after reading the reviews I had high expectations.. it's definitely smooth but I'm picky about my coffee.. the caramel latte was good but didn't live up to he expectations I guess . Pain Au chocolat was decent I had it warmed up which was nice. Over all it's a nice cafe and lovely spot to meet a friend if you are in the area !

Great atmosphere, delicious coffee and pastries! Wife and I were in town for the weekend looking for a great local coffee shop. This place sure does deliver! We each had the Bulletproof coffee and it was incredible, good strong coffee with the smooth creaminess of the added coconut oil and butter. Highly recommended! I also tried a cherry turn over and it was light and fluffy with a great cream cheese and cherry flavour! (Quick tip, get them to warm it up!) Over all the ambiance and food drink offerings are great! Prices are very reasonable and staff was pleasant. We will be back!

    Roasted vegetable frittata $7.

I went here for lunch and to hang out with one of my girlfriends (Stacey B.) We both thought it was great. The place is really beautiful. I loved the high ceilings, funky lights, and comfy seats. I had the roasted vegetable frittata $7, which comes with a side mixed greens salad, a small bowl of fruit salad, and a crostini. Perfect for a nice light lunch. The frittata was a little flatter than I'm used to, but it was still tasty. The side salad was just mixed greens with 2 slices of cucumber, but everything was fresh. I liked the balsamic vinaigrette, which came on the side as requested. The fruit salad was apples, oranges and grapes, which made me a happy camper because it didn't contain honeydew or cantaloupe. The crostini added some crunch to the meal. I would get this again. They had a small selection of sandwiches, salads, cookies, and cakes. They also of course had coffee and tea. I got to taste one of their little palmier-like cookies (thanks, Stacey!). It was crunchy, flaky and sweet, with a strong cinnamon taste. They have free self-serve lemon water. Service was good. You pay at the cash register, then they bring your food to you. The only thing I did not like about this place is the configuration of the parking lot. It's not very big, it's essentially a rectangle with parking on the long sides of the rectangle, there's only one way to get in and out, so if you go in and then discover that the parking lot is full, it's really difficult to get out - you essentially have to back out of the parking lot (as there is not enough space to turn around). As I was pulling in, someone was backing out of the parking lot, so I had to also back out. There's some spillover parking around the back of other buildings nearby, but obviously not as convenient as parking right by the café. It's a nice addition to the area for sure.

My husband and I were up at 7am on a Saturday and were looking for a coffee place that wasn't Starbucks. This place did not disappoint! You cannot miss the aroma of fresh baked pastries, even with a mask! We follow a ketogenic lifestyle and were surprised to see Bulletproof coffee. It was so creamy and delicious and a great way to start the day! My husband also had a cherry turnover that they warmed. He said it was flakey and sweet, like a big hug. We loved this place so much, we even took more coffee to go. We would definitely be back and love supporting local coffee places!

This is the first cafe I hot when I came to Ottawa and it didn't disappoint at all. From the high ceilings to beautiful industrial lights and big space I am glad I checked this place out before I got the usual Starbucks for a caffeine fix. They do make a good coffee and selected pastries with some sandwiches and frittatas. I loved my flat white and cappuccino. It's busy most of the time regardless weekday or weekends. They do have a small parking space, but the spots does get fill up quick. You can always park a little further up where Nordstrom Rack parking spaces. A good place to hang out to with free WiFi and Farm Boy is just across the street with the Movita gym and Nordstrom Rack. A good place to check out whenever you're in Ottawa.

Overall: A // 5 stars…read more There's no denying that this cafe is all about the aesthetics, and that's great because the eyes eat first and that shouldn't be by any means neglected. I ordered the Passionfruit Latte, which was an intriguing blend of tropical notes that was actually tasted through the strength of the espresso. I liked that even though the drink was simple, the aesthetic was not neglected from the dried citrus garnish to the perfect gradient of the cup. I really enjoyed all the floral decor in the cafe to help beautify it as well. Their brunch menu is massive and full of interesting items that I wish I had more stomach space to try; definitely in a future return! It's a cafe and a flower shop, with flowers everywhere and everything is pink. Very Instagrammable decor. I was served by the loveliest barista. He said it was his 4th day on the job (I was there mid/late December 2023). He made me the tastiest Peaches and Cream Fog (not on the menu, but should be, lol). They use Sloan Teas and the Peaches and Cream flavour is peachy and creamy with a subtle hint of floral. It wasn't too sweet and I loved it. Their croissants are flakey and buttery. Their carrot cake is good too, although the icing is too sweet for my liking. Really cute cafe! Street parking or paid parking lot parking only, which is the norm for places in the Byward Market. I found the decaf Americano had too sour an aftertaste for me, but the orange chocolate chip cookie was good. The Long Version: I've heard of the Ottawa Bike Cafe and have been meaning to try it for some time now and have finally gotten around to it. My husband and I were on one of our "food and drink weekend adventures" where we go to a bunch of places that are new-to-us and get a little something to share at each place. Like a food crawl, lol. Anyway the Ottawa Bike Cafe was one of our stops. We got a medium decaf Americano ($3.70) and an Orange Chocolate Chip Cookie ($4). My husband liked the coffee and he rated it 4/5. He's more of a coffee connoisseur than I am, so his assessment on coffee is likely more trustworthy than mine, lol. I found the coffee bitter with too much of a sour aftertaste, but I'm one of those people who like flavoured syrup in my coffee (whereas my husband thinks flavoured coffee is gross and drinks his coffee black. We got the coffee black by the way). I enjoyed the Orange Chocolate Chip Cookie, although I only had a few small bites as the hubby ate most of it, haha. I liked that the orange flavour was noticeable. It was a nice twist on the traditional chocolate chip cookie. It was a bit too buttery for my preference and a tad too crumbly, but otherwise a pretty good cookie. Service was pleasant. The place was packed. Decor and ambiance I would describe as hipster cool. If you like popular places that are bustling, this is the place to be. I personally like quieter places with fewer people (although sadly this usually means that places I like don't always stick around). Our visit was in March. I imagine that this place is even busier in the summer. It's on the stretch of Sparks Street that is pedestrian only, so great for people watching if you sit by the window or on the patio during the warmer months when they have outdoor seating. Street parking only. Review #54 (2026)
