The smells of all the products filled the room (but it's not overpowering). I had a botanical back cleanse with Onella. The scurbs, lotion, and mask felt luxurious all over my body. There's a steam part and hot towels occasionally that felt amazing. There is a small massage and feet treatment that I didn't realize and was pleasantly surprised. There was one part it felt like she was painting this silky lotion (maybe mask) all over my back. I was so relaxed I think I did fall asleep at one point. Onella checked in to make sure the pressure and everything was good. My husband had the 60-minute customized Swedish massage with Emily. She asked him his pressure preference and what he wanted and she did everything just perfect. It was so relaxing that he did fall asleep! The owner was such a sweetheart and so accommodating, along with her staff who were also so helpful. My mom came back so refreshed, she felt like the staff were so kind, attentive, thoughtful, and displayed great professionalism and quality in their services. Her favorite was the facial! She also really loved the massage! It put the biggest smile on my face when I saw her come home from the spa-- she looked like she can just melt in a chair and drift off to sleep. I left a pair of sunglasses at the spa and informed them that I would return to pick them up after I had recurve a call or text that I had left them behind. As I was traveling for a few weeks. When I finally had a chance to stop by I was face with disregard, then I finally called since I didn't hear from the owner about a month later, I was told they had been discarded. Unfortunately, there was no notice given, and the conversation felt more argumentative than understanding. These sunglasses were sentimental to me, and while I understand that businesses may have policies, I was disappointed by the lack of care and communication around a client's personal belongings. This experience affected my trust and overall impression of customer care. A month is not enough to trow customer belongings away without calling them first and assuring that they'll stop by to pick them up and assume that they'll just be forgotten. This is not so much about the sentimental value of the sunglasses but about being respected and treated with dignity. I hate to have to leave a bad review for them as is sometimes I almost never like to do but given her mannerism and demeanor I cat let this happen to another person and to our community.

My own therapist was chewing a throat lozenge during the massage and even dropped it on me. I was charged for a deep tissue massage even though the therapist confirmed she performed a Swedish massage. We were forced to overtip because the front desk didn't have change. This was our second bad experience here, last time the tech scrubbed so hard we left bleeding. Kim the owner promised to investigate and call me back, she never followed up despite my emails and calls. No resolution, no accountability. We will never be back

I absolutely loved what she did then so, when I returned over this Fourth of July week Denise was able to book me for a cut, color and brow shaping. She usually books up 2 to 3 weeks in advance but because of the holiday, and the shift in scheduling, she was able to fit me in. So grateful! Denise is gifted and can look at a person and tell them exactly what's needed to make them look their best. I decided to trust her because my hair had grown really long and she knew I wanted to keep the length. She did some beautiful framing around the face and used product that gave my hair a really high shine. I couldn't be happier. She also taught me how to blow dry properly and how to use teasing and a roller to give my hair some volume because it's very thin. She also had time to shape my brows properly. Not only that she's a great person to have "girl talk" with! I highly recommend her and the staff at Glo West. You Ojai locals are so lucky to have her. Update 7/6/2018: A reviewer below insinuated that I was solicited to write a positive review. This is not true. Businesses ask clients to "yelp" them all the time. My experience at Glo West was positive in 2016 and again on my return visit this past week. I took the time to write the review because I was very happy with how my hair and brows turned out. Kudos to Denise, who used to manage the coifs of the Hollywood set, and knows how to make a person look their best.
