My niece enjoyed her rice, yuca, and fried chicken lol

Awesome restaurant .. They have way more good days than bad days, I feel like it just depends on the cook. I had a recent "bad day" experience. The flavor was really off from what it normally is. I did make the restaurant aware of how I felt about the food that day. They were really nice about the situation, they did not offer a refund. Which I was not expecting, but it did seem like they were concerned with what I had to say. Which really made me feel good. The hour and half drive that I take to get here, is definitely worth it.

I am from Miami every time I drive up to Fort Myers I have to pass by this place. The food is good the staff is nice and professional and I like the fact that they have regular size and large size meal. I always order the large but I can't never finish it and also they have different side order like mac and cheese, Haitian potato salad and other sides not like Miami were your side order is only salad. If your in the area or just passing through stop by Fifys Restaurant they have great food you won't be disappointed.

Food is always phenomenal. Service takes a bit of time, but the taste of the food always makes it better.

Let me start by saying the service is TRASH…read more The only time you'll get any customer service is when the wife decides to be in a good mood and that's usually only around midday. Coming here for breakfast will leave you and your children's stomachs in hell. They do not answer the phone or communicate properly. Even though online it says they're "OPEN" at 9 a.m., in reality they open whenever the grandma in the back decides to take her time and finish what she's doing. My friend, her daughter, and I stood outside repeatedly knocking on the door, watching them look at us without having the decency to come and tell us they needed a few more minutes since they weren't opening on time. We couldn't even get that basic communication. It's sad to see so many Haitian businesses come to Lehigh just to FAIL over the basics. NEVER AGAIN. You're better off going home to make your own breakfast or going to Mickey D's. I'm highly disappointed.

What an amazing discovery in Lehigh Acres!…read more Walked in with zero expectation and immediately, you'll notice the fresh ocean blue ambiance. Pictures or art works are over the walls. I believe this was the former Andy's Cuban Restaurant but a new owner made an expansion and upgrade. Now it is Jacmel's Caribbean! I asked if they have Ke Bef or (Haitian Oxtails). They normally serve this daily but not today. I quickly select Kabrit (a marinated fried goat) with a salad, plantains and bean and rice. The salads are fresh. The goat meat was tasty and full of flavor. The bean and rice combination were amazing seasoned and the plantains just hit the spot. Well worth the drive just for Jacmel's Caribbean! The staff is super friendly and more than happy to answer question you have. We already plan out our next dinner selections like Groit Kochon, Ke Bef, Lumbi, and more! Give Jacmel a try, you'll love this place!

Roti originated from Indian continent but also popular in West Indian like Guyana. This Roti Shop was in our minds for years. Finally, we walked in to try the West Indian Roti. My wife asks me, "You know the difference between Roti and Naan?". According to her, Roti is an unleavened flatbread with whole wheat flour sometime with oil or butter that cooked in a griddle or skillet whereas Naan is a leavened flatbread make with refined flour some time with milk and yogurt in a tandoor or clay oven." She went on and told me that Naan is thicker and softer. Roti is generally eaten with curries and dals. There are two rotis available here, paratha, a buttery flatbread or Dhal Puri, a flatbread filled with split peas and lentils. The menu is simple, you can use roti to wrap your choice of curried chicken, shrimp or goat, or use the roti to dip into your favorite curried items or curried items over rice with roti! We ordered a shrimp roti meal with Dhal Puri and a double plain roti wrap. The double plain roti is sweet and savory. The curried shrimp with peas, potatoes are well prepared and simmered with aroma. It hits the spot. We shared a pineapple soda. The ambiance here is simple. A small TV with a few pictures on the wall and the several Guyana flags. The tables are not shiny, but they are clean. It is homely and the food is good! Amazing discovery in Fort Myers! If you want to try West Indian Roti, this place is for you.

The restaurant feels like a colorful, garden‑style hideaway, full of charm, warmth, and the delight of discovering a true local gem. And of course, the two resident chickens, Popcorn and Carmel, add their own quirky personality to the experience. Our server, Mimi, was excellent--friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The café is tucked away along the back roads of Chokoloskee, surrounded by the kind of old‑Florida scenery that's becoming rare. The food was outstanding. We started with tostones (fried plantains with garlic), then enjoyed the pork sandwich with chips and the pork plate with rice, beans, and two perfectly cooked sweet plantains. Every bite was rich with authentic Cuban flavor. We finished with the flan, which was so good we could have easily ordered a second. With its lovely outdoor seating, light radio music floating through the air, and a staff that treats you like family, HavAnnA Café delivers an experience that feels both heartfelt and memorable. The only thing missing was a hammock--I could have taken a nap and geared up for an early dinner. The seafood stew looked especially tempting for next time. A wonderful stop in a part of Florida that still holds its original soul. And by the way, don't leave without grabbing a bottle of their hot sauce--sweet, flavorful, and just the right amount of kick!!!

As soon as you enter, staff are quick to take care of you and make you feel at home. Our server Rosi made sure we were well taken care of and treated us like family. We started with their Mojito which was beyond fresh tasting and well balanced in flavor. They had cups prepared on the bar counter as it must be a staple item for them. We also ordered the Cuban Sandwich (full order) and a side of Sweet Plantains. The food was made fresh to order and you could tell from the taste. The Cuban is the best I've experienced with fresh bread, quality meat, and good portions of sauce/cheese. The portion as well was a great size or enjoy when hungry or share. The Sweet Plantains came with about 5-6 pieces. Most guests were also ordering a cuban coffee to enjoy. Overall, this was a great lunch spot! If you want to experience authentic cuban food when in the area, Rumba Cuban Cafe will not disappoint! Tip: Check their hours before going. They are open 10am - 3pm weekdays only.
