This is my second time being here. My first time was the consultation I had with Jose. I came five…read moreminutes before they closed however Jose was able to give me a quote and an appointment after he was done with his client. Both times I was here this place was packed- us and each and every hairstylist had one client. This salon is kind of small but very homey. Most importantly it is very clean and sanitized. I booked my highlight, lowlight and kariten treatment with Adriana four days after my consultation. I usually have extensions in and prior to coming here I had very damaged bleached hair. I was here for six hours but my hair has never looked so good. I spend over 50% less of what I usually spend in the hair salons in LA. The staffs here are all very friendly and knowledgeable. Most importantly they're all very adaptable. Thanks again Adriana!!

I made an appointment for a blow out while I was in town. Overall my hair came out okay. However,…read morethe experience wasn't what I typically expect from a blow out. A round brush was not used at any point my hair was washed and blow dried using hands, and a paddle brush was only used for my curtain bangs. A flat iron was later used to curl my hair. While it looked fine, a true blow out usually gives a very different feel and finish, so I was a little bummed, especially for the $60 price. This was my first time having a blow out done this way, I wasn't sure if this is standard here or just a difference in technique. For future lesson learned on my part, I'll be sure to confirm the styling method beforehand. In addition, the salon's cleanliness was disappointing. My appointment was early in the morning around 9:00 a.m. there were dead flies on the window ledge and hair left behind in the space. I would have expected the salon to be thoroughly cleaned either at closing or before opening. I'm mentioning this in hopes the owner can address it and remind staff how important it is to maintain a clean environment. We all clean our homes everyday right.

I was really disappointed with my experience at Trendsetters. Unfortunately, professionalism seems…read moreto be lacking, as the owner and staff frequently gossip about their clients once they leave. Communication is also frustrating-calls are rarely answered, and messages often go unanswered, leaving customers feeling ignored. On top of that, the prices are quite high for the area, making the service feel overrated than worth the cost. Trendsetters is NOT the cream of the crop for sure! If you're looking for a salon that prioritizes respect and responsiveness, this might not be the best choice. I'm really surprised that they have been in business this long with their subpar service and staff.

I go to Lizette, because she is the first person I have ever gone to who does exactly what I ask. If I don't want too much cut off, she leaves it alone. If I want to go from brunette to platinum blonde and everyone else says it's impossible, she finds a way to do it and do it well. If I want wild colors in my hair or something funky, she finds a way to make it look chic. She's is a great suggestion for daring colors and wild cuts, as is Roxy. Don't freak out, this isn't one of those places that strictly serves girlie girls and teens-young adults. This salon has a wide variety of customers. For first time customers who are men, or maybe women looking for something chic and classy or traditional, Rosa is a great option, as she is a well respected hair stylist with time under her belt. I was very specific in my search--I needed someone highly skilled in working with natural dark hair and bleaching. After months of researching different salons and techniques, I came across Monica and her work. Something about it stood out to me, and I felt drawn to book an appointment. My local salon experiences had left me unhappy with the results, so I was determined to find someone who truly understood how to work with my hair. Even though her salon is three hours away from my home, I had a strong feeling that Monica would be able to achieve the look I wanted. My experience with her was truly amazing. She is incredibly detailed and meticulous in her work. I loved that she gave me her full attention, constantly checking on my hair to ensure everything was processing correctly.
