I stopped by Fiesta Bowls back in March, and I'm still thinking about it. The snacks were seriously next level -- fresh, flavorful, and loaded with toppings. Everything tasted super fresh, and the portions were generous. I fell in love with how at home it feels here -- you walk in and get greeted so warmly, just like they already know you. Their mural is beautiful and represents the culture of our Mexican American community, as well as the history of the location where the first Fiesta Bowls is located on Mission Street. I'm from Las Vegas and wish they had a location here! I also love that it's family-owned -- you can feel the pride and care in every detail. The staff was friendly and it's the kind of place where you can tell they care about both the food and the vibe. Definitely a spot I'll go back to next time I'm in the Bay! read more

I love Mexican street snacks and this place does not disappoint. Clean and spacious inside with a couple small spots for sitting, but it's mostly a takeout spot. Dolores park is only a couple blocks away! The staff help you with recommendations so it's less intimidating to try something new here. Esquites were delicious, and I also had my first ever Tostilocos. The Tostilocos were an explosion of flavors and textures, spicy, sweet, sour, and savory all in one. The sour and spicy flavors kind of dominated so it's best to share if you have a sensitive stomach. I've never had cueritos (pickled pork rinds) before but they are pretty mild and go well with the crunchy chips. read more

Sad to say this place has gone down hill since the last time I visited. The ladies that helped customers as well as myself were touching the food items among other things with no gloves in between transactions. Which was grossing me out to the point of not wanting my food at all, but wanted to give it the benefit of doubt that at least one was washing her hands in between. But the other lady did not at all because I continued to watch her from touching frozen fruits to frying area without once leaving to wash her hands. My churros were burnt to no return and were then doused in cinnamon powder to the point that I thought I was doing the cinnamon challenge, I took one bite and didn't bother to eat them after that. I bought two! Both burnt and both were thrown away. Waste of 6$. I bought a tostilocos and wasn't asked what chips I wanted even though it says I had a choice to choose. When getting them, it had less than five pieces of cueritos and a crap load of mango overpowering every other fruit inside. It's sad to see a place that was once a good place to get my favorite Mexican snacks now somewhere I will never return too again. read more

Was craving something refreshing and stumbled upon this gem in the Mission! The employees were extremely friendly and helped us figure out what to order. They make everything fresh and with the agua frescas at least, you can get any combination of fruits you want for only $4! They recommended mango/strawberry, so that's what I got. Been on the hunt for good mangonada ever since moving to SF and so happy my search is finally over! I've never craved mangonada on a daily basis until coming here. Have yet to try their other goodies, which also look very tasty. *WAIT TIME- haven't had to wait in any lines on the Wednesday and Friday afternoon I've been here so far, but definitely no complaints about that! Seemed like many of their customers order pickup to-go *AMBIANCE- bright, cultural vibes! Clean and colorful inside with a super cool mural on the main wall. *QUALITY- great! Best mangonada imo so far... why? The mangoes have always tasted fresh and not too sour or hard to chew. *CUSTOMER SERVICE- great! In addition to being greeted upon entering, employee was very personable and made conversation with our group while making sure to acknowledge other customers waiting in line. *RESTROOM- n/a *OUTDOOR SEATING- n/a, heads up- no indoor seating either! More of just an in-and-out shop *PARKING- honestly very tough on this street :( metered parking, so we usually come on a Sunday so we can at least avoid paying for the meters. read more

Well, it's always nice to find a new place that serves mangonada. Usually it's a specialty at a Mexican grocery store with an ice cream counter like Nieves Cinco de Mayo on 16th (review: http://bit.ly/2sQ5LZj), but this is more like a spacious version of a dessert stand iyou might find in a Mexico City neighborhood because they make all the popular confections like El Gazpacho and Las Fresas con Crema. They make their own bionico cream so they're serious here. There are also savory choices like El Chicharron Preparados (pork rinds) and Los Esquitos (corn with mayonnaise). You can even have Flamin' Hot Cheetos added to your corn. Fruit drinks (Aguas Fiestas), smoothies (Licuardos), and shaved ice (Raspados) complete the menu. I went for the Small $5.50 La Mangonada which was quite authentically made with their own homemade mango sorbet, cubes of fresh mango, tajin, chamoy sauce, lime juice , bits of tamarind candy, and of course, the obligatory tamarind straw (photo: http://bit.ly/2rZ5P8z). I tried a Mangonada for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. It's a very Instagramable/picturesque drink. As for the taste, I liked how there were quite a bit of mango chunks in the sorbet. My favorite part was the tamarind straw -- it added such a cute touch and made the drink a sweet and spicy experience. There's little benches around the store to sit while you wait for your order to be made. As for outdoor seating, there's a small table outside the store for customers. Ghe esquites and the mangoneada are alright but the BIONICO is trash almost $13 for one and you can only choose 2 fruits? In others places they give you all the fruits that come in one. I ordered strawberries and mango and both were very hard and sour they need better fruits . I do not recommended this place i recommend to go to the street vendors instead . Its way better and cheaper! read more

Ordered online for pickup, arrived a few minutes early and they were preparing the order then, seemed like a fairly steady stream of people coming and going. Counter staff were so friendly, everything was communicated with eye contact & a (masked) smile. Been getting catfished by a lot of food lately so to be able to say everything was exactly as it was expected plus more, was a great treat. The mangonada had a nice ratio of mango chunks and a good mix of chamoy throughout. All flavors were fresh and spot on, exactly what I wanted. Gansito licuado, definitely a hit, nice big chunks of gansito on top and bits of it through the shake. Great flavor and pretty dense. Esquite nachos, oh man, it was a pile of everything I don't often eat so to say I got tunnel vision and just devoured my half is an understatement. Pretty simple concept, base of Doritos/Tostitos/Takis topped with esquites; it's really my ultimate comfort food. All in all, very happy with my experience and can't wait to stop back. read more

My husband and I were craving Mangonadas and found this place in the Mission. Kudos for them taking your order at the door and then they go and prepare it. Good amount of mango chunks and mango sorbet. Maybe just a bit more of chamoy but we definitely enjoyed it. Will some back next time we're craving a mangonada in the city. read more

The service here is great! All the staff is friendly. I asked a question about a food item I wasnt so sure about, & I got a sample! Mangonadas are my shit, & its nice to have a spot thats not too far or in a questionable area. Will be coming back here to try more items!!! I stumbled across this place not long after they first opened and since the beginning their customer service has been superb! Their portions for everything are generous and priced well. Most importantly everything tastes good and fresh. Sometimes the service isn't the fastest because they do make it all from scratch, but I'll take it for the delicious food and awesome interactions with the people working there. read more

I would highly recommend this place. It has the best snacks and desserts in the mission. Los esquites with Hot Cheetos are something I have not tried anywhere else in the city. They are the best combination. I recently went back and found that they have added crepes and champurrado (hot drink) for the rainy and cold weather!!! It's also family owned, the workers and family are very welcoming! This place takes 5 stars for sure! read more

You can taste the cheese bits in each bite. These ice cream are soft but the taste is solid and the ice cream doesn't get soupy even after a half hour of still enjoying it. Go inside" Nieves Cinco de Mayo" on 16th street where ice treats make people on a hot day "smile " they have ice cream by the "pile" with different deserts made in an authentic Mexican "style " The Mission is where in San Francisco my family "settle" lived between the barrio and the" ghetto " far from Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park's by "Peacock Meadow" but you can go on 16th street and enjoy ice cream at Nieves Cinco de Mayo with flavors like cheese and " rose pedal"
