Drinking smoothies on a sunny San Francisco day are one of the many pleasantries in life. Earthbar has provided this opportunity for me time and time again but some times are better than others. this specific instance was alright, but service is not up to par. They should have more than one person working to lighten their load and keep the flow moving smoother. We waited a while to order and sat, later realizing we weren't called but rather had our smoothies left on the counter. The taste was good and the view is amazing. there are beautiful floor to ceiling windows in the equinox, the location in which this earthbar is located. there's also poor signage to lead you here, i'm gracious for the doorman who pointed us in the right direction.

Chocolate Supreme yesss! Quick personalized service. Excellent selections of healthy pre & post work out smoothies. Lots of great options for add-ons to your smoothie. 4th floor - Equinox Gym entry. You do not have to be member to enjoy these healthy smoothies! Highly recommend!

a variety of drinks on display in a store

On September 23rd, I arrived at Earthbar 12 minutes before it closed. The two employees were busy with getting ready to close the store. One of them saw me, but didn't even greet me, and they were minding their businesses. I checked the refrigerator and the menu for a while, and finally one of them came to take my order. He didn't apologize for making me wait. I don't remember what I ordered; I got a bottle of water and a smoothie of some kind. Anyway, the smoothie wasn't that good. Will never go back.

Great plant based smoothie option in the area with the ability to swap almond butter/milk for hemp or cashew options. I'm staying nearby so it's a nice walk in the AM. But thanks to another review I knew to take the elevator up to 4 in the Equinox gym which has a nice retail store too! I've come here daily while being here for work.

Omg yesssss so today I decided to try earthbar and Oh My God is this amazing so I wanted something chocolaty so I went with the chocolate smoothie and yes ladies and gentlemen it's amazing it's not too milky it's just right just the perfect bland of banana chocolate and the greatest thing about it is that you can actually taste the banana and the chocolate one does not over power the other has amazing!!! I will definitely come back for more next to try will be the açaí bowl

I was craving an Açaí bowl and read some reviews about this place near my hotel. I strolled out and nearly missed it! It's in the same building as the Equinox gym, next to the Four Seasons. You walk through the SUPER WHITE hallway and then head up to the 4th floor. The space is shared with a couple of other shops and a reallly cool looking gym. The prices I would say are the same as other juice bars. My bowl was $9.00 and worth every penny. I asked for no bananas as I'm highly allergic and added extra strawberries. The agave touch on the top was clutch. I love me some agave! What I loved the most was that there was granola at the bottom of the bowl as well! Seals the deal! They have a ton of supplements and healthy pre made food to go. It's a pretty cool place!

I stopped in here a couple of times for breakfast. As some of the other reviewers indicated its a bit tricky to find as there is no street signage and its located on the 4th floor of a shared space. I only had the Acai bowls but all of the other menu items look solid. The only complaint I have about the Acai bowls is that there is only one option for toppings; banana and strawberries - I would like to see other fruits. With that said I thought for the $10 you get a very good amount of food. The granola helps to add some substance to the bowl and the fruit on top is very fresh. The Acai blend itself is very thick. I am certainly stopping by here again for some fresh fruit goodness.

Pricey protein shake! I think they need to lower their pricing to at least $10 a shake

I actually did not know about this place until very recently…read more I recently read a book, Cheesemonger: A Life on the Wedge by Gordan Edgar. The author has worked at this grocery for decades, and is in charge of the cheese department. Naturally, when I visit SF, I have to come by for a visit. I was a bit worried about the parking situation, but glad to find that they have their own parking garage. I thought it would be a more hippy kind of grocery store, but I was actually blown away when I walked inside. First, there were jars and jars - I mean shelves and cases of jars - of teas, and different types of herbs and spices. Some I had a hard time finding, like butterfly pea. Besides the variety, the quality is excellent. I got so excited, as if I were a kid and those jars were candies, that I kept finding more and more stuff I wanted to buy. Then the bread - okay so thisis SF and great bread is to be expected, but I was surprised again at the wide variety of selection on offer. Well, I don't want to repeat myself, but I love their chocolate selection too - so many interesting flavors and brands to try. Finally I made it to the cheese section. I didn't see the author there by the counter, but I was not disappointed with the selection they have. The cheeses also have little cards with useful information, that helped me pick up a nice variety of cheeses from different countries and different parts of the US to try, including some award winners. I most certainly love my first visit and look forward to the next time I will visit SF. It's an awesome place that is truly employee owned and managed, so most certainly worth supporting.

If I made more, I would shop here almost exclusively. But alas I can only come here on occasion…read morewhen I cant find it elsewhere. Best place fir supplements!!!! They have the best, wholistic, hippy foods and items ever! I love this grocery store so much & its very well stocked & a great part of SF for years! It has everything a earthy, health consciousness, green person would want. brands that are non toxic and ethically correct. ugh they are the best store ever for supplements and prices are fair basically the same as whole foods... Bulk stuff its wildly overpriced but worth it. I only get a few items here ...Its a co-op which is super good but kinda means employees are free to do whatever they want & they are sometimes helpful sometimes not with questions.
