Florecita is a panderia located around the Mission known for its various flavors of concha freshly baked each day. Ambiance: Homey feeling with a display of the baked conchas for you to choose from. There does appear to be a selection of six different flavors to choose from. Service: Friendly staff that welcome you upon entering and quick to help serve you with also a relatively short wait time as well between ordering and pick up. Food: The churro concha tasted like a roll with cinnamon sugar on top. The bread was light and soft though it did taste a little dry. The price is slightly high at $5 per concha which are slightly cheaper when buying in a bundle. Overall, I'd have to check out a few of their other flavors and I'd be interested in trying their Pan De Muerto when it comes back again.
I'm giving this "new" bakery a big plus BUT when I went to enter the doors it was locked ! Oh no! Turns out soft opening last week and store only open from 8a to 2p (not on Tuesday) aso I've added photos and the folks who walked by including the crossing guard gave it a "thumbs up".
I'm in another line in the city! This time it's for the soft opening of this new cafe featuring fresh out of the oven conchas. They were super soft and fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness from the crispy topping. Classics are available, but they have some unique ones like maiz azul and apple pie. Their housemade banana cold foam was also a nice treat with their coffee or matcha. I'd say the matcha is more on the sweet and creamy side, so if you want more of a contrast stick with their cold brew. Service was very nice. There is a front area where the conchas are and then a further back area with more seats and the coffee bar.
Great conchas from a very quaint store. No seating, just an order/takeout counter. The flavors that are always on the menu are: guava, vanilla, blue corn, chocolate, and churro. I think there was one seasonal flavor. We got the guava concha, which was delicious. Very fluffy and soft bun that wasn't dry at all. Strong guava flavor in the sugar crust and it wasn't too sweet. Overall, really solid bun but I did feel like *something* was missing. A slightly thicker sugar crust would've made it feel less one note. Definitely would come back to try the other flavors still!

Florecita is tucked away on residential street not far from the freeway. Street parking was easy to find mid-day on a Sunday. I was hoping to try the guava but they were sold out. I ordered a little bit of everything - chocolate, vanilla, blue corn, churro, and strawberry hibiscus. It was a bit of a bummer that my strawberry conchas didn't make it into the box. Not sure what happened - I was chatting with the cashier/concha server so maybe they were distracted. I also should have checked my order. The conchas were SOOOOO good. Very soft and fresh - not too sweet. The chocolate-y flavor wasn't really coming through to me. And the vanilla and churro flavors were very similar. The most prominent was the blue corn - and I think this was my fave. Comparatively speaking to other conchas at a panderia, $5 a concha is a bit steep. They are really tasty tho and definitely worth it. Think of it as a top shelf concha. Oh and the good news is, they're vegetarian friendly - they only use butter. I'll be back next time I'm in the San Fran area.
Finally a concha without lard! Literally one of the best I've tasted. We got chocolate, blue corn, and churro. You have to try the blue corn, it is a fan favorite for a reason. Vegetarian friendly!
Visited on a Saturday around 10:30am, bakery was pretty quite no other guest so headed to the pastry case and was able to order quickly. Bakery had a variety of about 6 concha flavors to choose from. Food: Guava Concha - served warm, great bread texture, nice and airy with a pleasant soft pillowy texture, topped with a crisp sweet cracked cookie top, flavor of the guava is quite subtle with a hint of acidity and a touch of guava note wish flavor was a little stronger, this is a seasonal item if you do want to try Service was great, really warm and friendly with great recommendations and suggestions. Bakery is between two brick apartment buildings, more of a grab and go spot, space is neat and tidy with a cute minimalist design but not much seating in the space Overall enjoyed Florecita Panaderia, definitely one of the best conchas I've had, texture of the bread is really good, on the pricey end but you definitely taste the quality. Worth a try if you enjoy Mexican baked goods.
Most incredible conchas I've ever had. I've been telling all my friends about it for the last two weeks! The employee recommended his favorites and we ended up getting the: Blue corn 5/5 Churro 4.75/5 Chocolate 4.75/5 Next time we will try the remaining 3 flavors.
I'm so happy I discovered Florecita! This cozy little panadería in the Mission is an absolute gem. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by the comforting aroma of freshly baked breads and pastries. I tried a few conchas (mango + blue corn + pumpkin) and they are sooo good - perfectly soft with just the perfect crunchy topping. It tasted homemade - with the best possible ingredients. You can tell everything is made with care and attention to tradition. The vibe is relaxed, the people are friendly, and prices are a bit on the higher side (compared to the bakeries on 24th street), but you get what you paid for - high quality conchas. Florecita delivers major comfort and flavor. I already know I'll be back... probably this weekend :)
I love Florecita! These are the best conchas I've ever had, hands down. I've taken my swegra here, that's how you know it's good. She loved it. The texture is insane it's bready but soft and pillowy idk how to describe it and flavor wise they really nail the flavors. The blue corn really tastes like blue corn. Everything isn't too sweet and just very beautifully balanced. I appreciate that the conchas are displayed in an enclosed case as well!
These might be the softest, fluffiest concha's I've ever had. Blue corn is my favorite. They're a different texture than the usual panadarias and more expensive but they are exceptionally good and their pan de muerto are quite possibly the best in the bay (so far at least). Really lovely, with a delicate orange flavor.
You know a place is good when they only make a single thing and if you're looking for unique and amazing conchas (pan dulce), this is the place to check out! If you're looking for something that isn't too sweet, you'll want to check it out! Keep in mind that they are especially a bun, which means it is dense but soft, with a crumbly flavored top. Many people compare it to the Asian pineapple bun. These are great for breakfast with coffee or an afternoon snack without spiking your blood sugar levels like a donut or cookie! $5 each or get a box of 6 (multi flavors) for the price of 5. Oh also, love their story of starting this business so stop by!

The Fleet week and SF Tech Week Edition: It seems I have been having lots of seafood lately and everything has some fish or sea creatures in SF. I been currently thinking about some concha's . Although conchas means sea shells in Spanish but the conchas I am referring to is a Latin American pastry. San Francisco is a place which has good pastries from North Beach to the Mission. There is a place in the Mission which recently open and has been neighborhood favorite for their conchas ( not the sea shell) pastries. It's located on 23rd street next Bartlett in between Mission street and Valencia streets and it's called Florecita Panaderia. Back to the same block I bought my first comic books as a kid and where I use hang around as a teenager I landed at what was formerly inside the Velvet Cantina and later Shuggies Trash Pie in SF. Inside the Florecita it was spacious and lots of different conchas available . They have many different types of conchas so I got the churro and vanilla conchas. The churro was tasty and a bit flakey like some in SF . The vanilla was not too sweet and a little soft. These conchas were like having a little sweet croissant mixed with a pineapple bun. I then had to wash it down with Tres leches matcha for Don Juan de la Matcha. It was hella delicious. This a must new destination in the Mission District. San Francisco is the city in where I "dwell "grew up in the Mission where they "sell"conchas with a different pleasant "smell"these conchas you don't put lemon squeezes on it and are delicious baked pastry Conchas but there are not a "sea shell" Florecita in English means " little flower" they have lots of conchas but it's not conchas from a "seafood tower"they have sweet bread which is a little sweet not "sour" and the conchas are so good they will get "devour" read more
Wow so good! And looks great altogether in a box! Makes a great choice to bring to a party/event The top layer is crunchy with the cinammon. Delicious. I was going to eat half and save the rest for a bit later, but ended up eating the whole piece. Have to try more varieties read more

Stumbled upon this bakery selling Pan Dulce! First time trying these and they were so delicious especially fresh. It reminds me of the Chinese pineapple bun with a crispy top. However, these Pan Dulces are so innovative with their unique flavors. 10/10! Guava and Blue Corn were our favorites! read more

Came here from a recommendation by a friend! Their hours are pretty limited but so worth it. There's a couple of tables outside to sit at plus a little bit of seating inside as well. The space is very empty and open due to the high ceilings but has nice, colorful decor. The owner was super nice and happy to give recommendations! Per the owner's recommendation, I got a Blue Corn Concha and a Guava Concha. I love how they look -- they're so perfect round, and I love how each flavor has its own vibrant color! Biting into one of these conchas, you can really tell how they're a labor of love. They are so unbelievably soft (even after a few hours!), and it was so warm and fresh. These were definitely the best conchas I've ever had. The Guava Concha really actually tasted like guava, not just sugar! The Blue Corn Concha was the standout though. It's a more soft and subtle flavor, but the grittiness and roasted flavor of the corn comes through, and I've never had anything like it. You have to check them out! read more

I recently visited Florecita Panadería in San Francisco's Mission District and had a great experience. It was my first time trying a concha, and I was pleasantly surprised by how similar it tasted to a Chinese pineapple bun. The smell of the freshly baked goods drew me into the bakery, and I quickly became a fan. If you enjoy pineapple buns, this is definitely worth checking out. The concha has a soft, cake-like texture with a crumbly, cookie-style topping. The topping is slightly milder than that of a pineapple bun, which pairs well with a hot cup of coffee. With Lunar New Year coming up, I'm planning to purchase a few dozen for our family gathering. This place is a bit out of the way for me, but I promise it is worth it. read more
I had such a great experience at Florecita Panadería! Their conchas are on another level--I tried every single one: Chocolate, Churro, Blue Corn, Matcha, Guava, and Mango, and they were all amazing in their own way. Each concha was soft, fluffy, and had just the right amount of sweetness. The flavors were unique but still had that classic concha texture and taste that I love. My favorite had to be.....all of them, to be honest! I did ask if they planned to expand into other pastries, but they mentioned that their focus right now is perfecting their concha recipe and making it the best it can be. Well, I think they've definitely achieved that! Now I can't wait to see what other delicious pastries they come up with in the future. Beyond the conchas, the bakery itself is super inviting, and the staff was friendly and helpful. You can tell they put a lot of love into their pastries. If you're a concha lover, this place is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back! read more

I'm coming all the way from Gilroy every time I like to invite to some or like today I bought for my family , because for me is the best concha at all . The conchas at Florecita are simply the best. I first tried them at West Coast Craft and am so happy to live so close to their physical location; I often wish that they were more open on more weekdays so I could get them more frequently. I really like their seasonal flavors! I love that you can actually taste the flavor pretty strongly. The conchas themselves are SO incredibly well done. They are perfectly fluffy, sweet, soft, airy, and delicous--it's hard to have self-control when eating them. I also think the owners are such incredibly friendly and kind people. I think the only downside is that they are definitely pricier than what you can get from other panaderias (which offer conchas for $1), but I don't mind supporting such a lovely small business. Definitely try them out! read more

It was a pleasure to share my love and enthusiasm with you Jared & Ximena ! I wanted to share my experience and tell those you haven't had the chance to have a REAL Concha to come try some of the Best in the area. Hand made with tons of love and admiration for the culture. These baked from scratch goodies of joy literally melt in your mouth when they come fresh out of the oven. I was lucky enough to try the Blue Corn and Vanilla Bean fresh right when they opened @ 8am. They were so good I doubled backed before they closed to grab some more. Had to try the Champurrado and get some more Vanilla Beans they're the closet to the real deal you can only get and find in the homeland Mexico. 10/10 highly recommend if you're visiting from out of town and if you live in the area you're sleeping for not going and trying them all ! read more

I've been searching for a concha that lives up to nostalgic memories of the pan dulce at my Tia's panaderia. This lovely pair of bakers nailed it! The conchas were warm, perfectly chewy, and had a distinct crunch when I bit into them. We got the guava, mango, churro, and blue corn conchas, and I couldn't tell you which one I liked most. They're all so good, I can't wait to return! read more

Best conchas in SF, hands down! Founded by Ximena and Jared, Florecita Panadería is a love letter to Mexican baking, offering traditional pastries with a modern twist.
