My boyfriend and I went to Fiesta Mexicana today also know as the Taco Bus, and expected more from such a highly talked about restaurant. They got two pretty important ingredients wrong with my food. I ordered the combo of 3 verde chicken enchiladas. When I got home, the sauce was red, not green, and the meat was pork, not chicken. Very disappointed. Especially because this was not particularly cheap. The hot sauce they gave us for our food seemed watered down and tasted nothing like any hot sauce I've had before. I highly recommend Los Koritas which is right down the street. We went there the day before and it was SO GOOD. They got everything right and did not skimp out on sauce or ingredients. It's also usually never super busy so service is fast and friendly. However both of these places were about the same in price range and have good quality food. I never thought to enjoy great Mexican food surrounded by vast mountain terrains of Montana! I love the sibiche de camaron (shrimp ceviche), plenty of shrimp pieces with fresh avocado and that tasty spicy sauce! I didn't care for the tamales though, for it was dry and hard. The beef tacos & cheese quesadillas were good too. Especially love the seating inside the bus with full view of the surrounding mountains. Great place to go for authentic Mexican food. Their burritos and tacos are amazing and you will never leave hungry with their large portions. It's also my favorite place to grab some breakfast, the chorizo breakfast burrito is awesome. My only gripe would be the refried beans and the rice don't have much flavor but let's be honest, your going for the main course. Looked this place up on yelp and it had Aweosme reviews. I love Mexican food and especially food trucks. When we rolled up to this place in was a BUS!!! Not a food truck.... a BUS! So legit! They had a small kitchen in the back of the bus with 3 workers. There were a lot of people outside eating and I thought we were in for a treat. The menu has everything a Mexican place can offer. I don't wish they had more taco platter options. I ordered the al pastor burrito. Super good but not the best... the burrito was filled with so much beans and not enough meat. They didn't have a salsa verde options... only salsa rojo. My wife ordered the chimichanga. In the picture on the menu looked like it was small with a hard outer shell but it came out soft just like my burrito. Kinda let down with this. The plates were delicious- and great prices too. They loaded up the plates with heaps of tacos, which were a little messy and tough to eat but all around great tasting. It is served in the back of a school bus, which you climb aboard to order. Seating is a little limited inside, but there are several tables outside. There's also a picnic table outside for warm days. The food is good (for Montana Mexican food, it's definitely up there). But still, nothing extraordinary. We ordered enchiladas and iced horchata after an afternoon spent shopping at the Patagonia Outlet. We were pleased and the folks working there are cordial. This is the definitive hole-in-the-wall mexican joint with great food. As described in a previous review, this is an old school bus converted to a restaurant, which makes it that much better. Stopped here for lunch on the way out of town. We just grabbed 3 chicken tacos quick and ate on the picnic tables right next to the bus. We don't have much to report from our small order but the food was very good. Great flavors but pretty messy and near impossible to pick up and eat. This place is fun. A bus, how cool. You step in like you're on your way to school instead find yourself welcomed by friendly people ready to prepare for you a delicious meal.
