The food was all excellent quality, with fresh ingredients. The menu has enough choices to suit those who prefer non-spicy options, as well as those who want a more authentic flavor. Our drinks were definitely well-made, with no attempt to dilute them; although I requested no salt for the margarita, and it came salted anyway. The service was fantastic, from our hostess, Carmen, to our waiter, Marcello! We were seated quickly on a busy Saturday dinner hour, and everywhere, people were eating and enjoying themselves. Something additional about the staff, they checked in frequently, found out why folks came in, and even helped with photos for the occasion--without being asked. That is true service. The ambience was pleasant without being overpowering.Tables were well-spaced, and the music was far enough in the background (where we were) that it did not restrict conversation. I ordered the Alambre dinner plate and it was delicious. It came in a skillet platter loaded with meat and cheese. Very keto friendly. The service was great and the waiter Felipe was very friendly and excited about his work and service. If I may suggest a few things: make sure corn tortillas are fresh and warm, the salsa that came with chips is such an easy fix, and when ordering a mule, please use tin mugs. We stopped in on a Friday evening. There were lots of empty tables inside and outside. We asked to sit outside because it was beautiful night. The hostess asked us to wait a moment. Another group walked in as we were waiting, another host-type person appeared and asked if we had been helped; we said yes we are waiting on a table. He turns to the other group, they request outdoor seating and out they go to a table. The other hostess comes back and and tells us it's going to be a "few more minutes" before we can be seated. I asked why the large group that came in after us got seated right away; she shrugged. She finally comes back with some menus in hand and walks us to an indoor table. I politely explain that we requested an outdoor table and she says "this is the only table available" despite the fact the patio is 3/4 empty. I again express that we want to be seated outside. She basically then says "this is your table" with a take it or leave it look. My partner says let's just sit here and be done with it. As we sit waiting for a waiter, etc. three more sets of people are seated outside. We finally get greeted by our waitress. She was nice enough. I ordered a blueberry margarita with sugar on the rim and got salt on the rim. My partner had a steak dish and it was decent. I ordered enchiladas and they were less than average. The salsa that came with the chips was so-so. We also ordered the table side guacamole which was decent but nothing to shout from the rooftops. There are plenty of other Mexican places in the St. Cloud area I would choose besides this one. The prices seem a little high for the quality of food/service you get. Came here for lunch since everyone in st cloud said it was good. I thought it was just ok. I ordered the tacos al pastor. They were decent, rice just ok, but the beans were awesome. Chips and salsa just ok. Ordered a margarita and that was really good. My husband got the chipotle burrito with steak. He did not like it. The chipotle on the burrito was a creamy sauce and he said it tasted funky. Also did not have a lot of steak in it. All in all it was ok, not great. So yesterday we went to fiesta Azul to have some dinner. When I arrived, I noticed the restaurant was not that busy. They brought us to a seat and the first thing that I saw that they were sitting all the guest in the same area. It actually felt like I was sitting with other people 3/4 of the restaurant was empty but they had us on top of each other. I also noticed that they had plenty of staff, so there was no reason to sit everybody in one small area. My wife ordered a quesadilla. That was actually very tasty. I ordered a burrito and was very disappointed. I felt that the burrito shell was something they pick up at a supermarket and just put rice refried beans, and a few little pieces of chicken inside of it. The burrito came out, warm, not hot like I would have wanted it, I was not impressed with the food quality and found no reason that I would return. It's a shame the quality of food was not there because this is a beautiful spot. One thing I did notice about our waiter. He was very quick in getting our order. he did not give us enough time to look at the menu and kept returning. Typical early evening dinner at Fiesta Azul with hopes of having a fine meal. Didn't happen. There were maybe four tables being served. New waitress had no help. No servers filling water glasses, refilling chips and salsa. Not a single helper on the floor. Very slow service. Took over 20 minutes to get a beer and a margarita. I asked for refill on chips, that took forever. It seems that the attitude in the restaurant is not an attitude of good customer service but an exercise getting the pesky customers out the door. Everything was slow but the entrees came out very fast after ordering because the tepid food in the back was quickly assembled into our menu selections and brought out barely warm. Tortillas were cold. Chips were cold and bland. Salsas have no flavor. Then the bill comes and you wonder where the value is. Not likely to give my hard-earned money for poor service and poor food again. Word of mouth will not be kind to bad service and a poor product. Come on Fiesta; you can and must do better. read more
