Whenever I'm in town, I make it a point to come to this restaurant and tap room. It's a beautiful business with a huge outside seating area with fire pits and tons of chairs and a beautiful Olive tree. At least I think it's an Olive tree. but I didn't see any olives. Maybe it's the wrong season for olives. Of course, it could be an artificial Olive tree. Next time, I'm going to check it out. There's a great food menu, athough today, I just came for the Hills and Valleys light beer. Special shout out to the friendly and professional bartender and manager, Santiago. I hear that Buddy is really good too, but for special A+ service , see Santiago.

Personal size pizza is a decent size. I got garlic sauce, mushrooms, jalapeños, red onion. The pizza is cooked nicely! Their ranch dipping sauce is not your normal ranch; must be mixed with something. I got 2 of their draft hazy IPA beers and they were good! Order via QR code. Service is decent speed.

Perf spot to hangout with family and friends on a nice day! I really enjoy their outdoor areas, and they have plenty of high chairs available so bring the kiddos too! We came on Mother's Day they had a special for 2 beers + 1 pizza for $35! We got the thin style NY pizza with bacon and tater tots and it was delicious. I also enjoyed the hazy IPA selections they had on draft.

Fieldwork is one of the top slingers in NorCal's modern craft brew scene. They've expanded to 11 tap houses in NorCal in about 8 years that go from Santa Rosa to Monterey. They're definitely on a mission. This one in San Leandro may be 2 years old and is a larger one. I think most of them are in huge spaces now with a large outdoor feature. Here their outdoor area is partially covered, like the sides, but the center is exposed to the open sky. They dot the space with large olive trees, so it has a nice beer garden vibe. We sat in their bar area, and I noticed that even though you are super close to where all the employees are, you get the most do-it-yourself type of service. We had to get our own beers at the bar station, place our food order there and repeat the process anytime we wanted anything more. Now the employees do bring the food out, will clear empties and bring a takeout box if needed. But I think the system is a bit flawed to only allow service personnel to only do partial the work, and create a system for them to avoid customer interaction. But when that tipping prompt comes up on the screen upon paying, the highlighted buttons of 18-20%+ aren't shy at glaring at you front and center. Just an observation and a 2020s cringe for me. I tried 2 of their lagers styles that day as it was pretty warm out and both were really good. Very bold and assertive in the hop ratio, which is a Fieldwork stamp. And what I liked is that they actually tasted fermented in the true lager style which is long, slow and cold. Garlic Fries ($9/4*) Standard and solid garlic fries. Thinner fries, crisp, clean and a good salt presence. A good amount of a cooked garlic is tossed in so isn't that 'spicier' raw garlic type. A dusting of parm is also in the mix. Great with cold crisp beers. Trust. Pepperoni Pizza ($22/3.5*) I remember I tried this same pizza at their San Ramon location and was really impressed with that one. Like a top 5 pizza for me here in the Bay. This one kinda had the similar traits but just wasn't as tight as my original try. The one in San Ramon was crisp throughout, without being overdone. This one was crisp on the outer edges but was limp in the center, so when picking up a slice, a major droop occurred. The pepperonis were totally legit, but the cheese here seemed more wet for some reason. Very milky in taste, but I think it is the reason why the center stayed wet. Again just an observation. Pretty good add for San Leandro, with 21st Amendment closing within the year. This keeps San Leandro a strong brew destination still with Drake's nearby still in the fray. I'm sure I'll be back, just don't love their mode of service chosen.

Came here on a warm day in San Leandro and it was the perfect vibe We didn't get a chance to try the food this time, but the menu looked solid -- pizza, salads, and wraps (definitely giving stadium-style bites). I'd come back just to explore that more. Instead, we grabbed some frosé, which was really good and refreshing. Price was about $12, which felt fair for the setting and portion. The outdoor area is honestly the highlight -- such a great space to hang out on a beautiful day. Super chill atmosphere. Definitely planning to come back and actually try the food next time!

Ambience is so good here! A good chill spot to hang out. The fries were really good! I got the tater tot pizza and I would say it was just okay. The flavor and texture didn't stick out to me.

My favorite hazy IPAs in the bay. Fieldwork has some great beer and good pizza. The outside area can get pretty busy later in the day. The service is kinda meh, but expected since it gets a little hectic. The outside area is nice and has a lot of places to relax and chat with friends.

I love this spot! Plenty of varied seating outside, and a bit inside as well. I've been here for many happy (and a few sad) hours. Lots of great food and drink options. We always order inside. While the parking lot is typically pretty full, you can usually find something fairly quickly. I just wish they had more non/alcoholic options- the n/an options they offer are not safe for pregnant people (as my friend was). Aside from that, they just have root beer and apple juice. A few more soda and lemonade options would be amazing. The have slushy versions of a couple of the drinks. You can also grab beers to go! The pizzas, salads, garlic fries, and Calabrian chili are delicious. Always ask for the Calabrian chili if you like a little kick! The space is just so spacious and beautiful!

One of our fave places to bring our pup! We often stop by on the weekend for an afternoon snack, and always opt for outdoor seating since we bring our pup. Given the off-time we were always able to find a seat or bench outside, which is a pretty nice/large outdoor space. Def enough space to put some distance between the pups as well. You have to order drinks/food via a QR code but the staff does bring out food/drinks and then also check in on tables regularly. The menu itself has a good variety of beers, also a few ciders. But I was pleasantly surprised with the variety of food options here, that most breweries def. Lack. Food talk: (1) Brussels Sprouts - can be a hit or miss, some days I've had them come out piping hot & well seasoned, other times they can be a bit bland. (2) Garlic Fries - tasty thin fries with a yummy, buttload of garlic! (3) Chicken wings - sweet and a little bit spicy, but tasty overall. (4) Caesar - this was OK, little too much dressing so it got a bit salty: (5) Pizza - Detroit style is def the way to go here, it's a thick square personal size pizza - both the Margherita & Delivery Boy are my faves! Also had the Fun Guy (Neapolitan style), which is more thin and worked well for the mushroom style pizza.

We were looking for a casual place to grab lunch after a walk at Lake Chabot, and drove right on over to Fieldwork Brewing. It was a beautiful day out, and sitting in the shaded patio was perfect. There were plenty of tables at 12pm on a Saturday. We ordered using the QR code, and got a kids' cheese pizza, the Dad Joke Detroit style, the crispy cauliflower, 2 micheladas, and a can of Fieldwork's very own root beer. The food hit the spot! The Detroit style pizza was thick, crispy, and contained the perfect medley of toppings, and the crispy cauliflower was on point. The bite I got of the kids pizza was super yummy, too. Fieldwork Brewing has such a great and welcoming atmosphere; our kids were able to get up out of their seats without bumping into or bothering other parties, and they had dog treats and a water bowl for our big puppy of a Lab. So thrilled to have finally been by here and finding a great neighborhood spot that is family friendly, dog friendly, and serves great food and drinks!

This place was so busy on a Friday night. There were tons of people coming in and out and fire pits going. We grabbed a bench near a fire pit and scanned to order our food. We got the Delivery Boy pizza, a beer, a root beer, and some roasted Brussel sprouts. The Brussel sprouts came out pretty fast but the problem is that it had no flavor. Unlike most times when we get this dish, we had trouble finishing it. The pizza itself was fine -- it is more thin style pizza and thus you'll likely eat more of it to be full. However, the crust was burnt and hard so the pizza also wasn't great. The ambiance here is great though. There were at least two large parties and it's nice you can bring big groups and just order while standing around and socializing with folks. The place felt like someone's big backyard. My partner really liked his beer and thought it was fresh and I could say the same about the root beer. We are just disappointed that the food was not as good as we would have hoped.

I've been coming here for awhile, ever since one fine afternoon I was in town on business and was feeling a need for craft beer. I was once the world's predominant authority on craft beer in my own mind, but years of chugging ales have decimated my tolerance for it. Anywho, the first thing you'll notice about this spot is it's out there, pretty far off from downtown Alameda tucked away in an old military pier alongside some other more enterprising establishments. Lots of parking so there's that. Inside, they are definitely doing that thang, massive brewery stacks dominate the background but the space is massive so it supports an almost endless amount of tables, benches, and spots to hide out. Arcade machines, outdoor activities (even a kids sandbox) really add the "Adventureland" elements that make it more than just a standard brew joint. If you've had their beer, it's definitely on the expensive side, but they keep a healthy variety that I would say is all reliably refined and delicious. Its no 2000 era Bells or modern day Founders, but I particularly like their love hazy and the Mexican style lagers. My friends who like sours say they are also quite good. Although this place is really not directly affiliated with the business it's definitely a reason I go so I can't leave it out -- they have food trucks outside that handle most of the food there and the one they have there always has one of the best burgers I've ever had in the bay, hands down. It's a blackened blueberry and blue cheese burger and even though I don't like blue cheese, this unholy alliance is faaaaaaan-friggin-tastic. Must try. Service is casual, they do flights which is a great way to try things. Not sure about any happy hours, would love to see them get a mug/growler thing going here for discounts, they might have something already I'm just not aware of but nothing is obvious when I've gone. It's a great spot to kick it with some friends on a nice day or late afternoon, having a few beers and relaxing. California doesn't really do the beer garden thing like we do in the Midwest, you'll find spots like this all over Michigan so it's nice to see something of the same type here finally. I believe dogs are allowed too ala Texas vibes, but not 100% on that so I'd check ahead of time. Personally, I cannot stand seeing dogs at restaurants and bars so even if they do allow it, those aren't your kids, can we start reporting places that allow dogs without signage? If I brought a raccoon in on a leash would you be fine with that? It's a sanitation issue. Anyways, I digress, if you like beer, you like fun, and you like damn fine burgers, this is the best spot on the other side of the pond. 'nuff said.
