We stopped in for a beer. We were the only customers for at least 15 mins. No one greeted us, no one bothered to make suggestions and no one said "thank you have a nice day" when we left. We ordered/paid out with QR code, our beer was set in front of us no "enjoy". and then they have the nerve to request a tip?! for what? Call me old fashioned but a little customer service would go a long way here. The atmosphere seemed cool but the service was as cold as the beer. With all the options in Napa based on our experience I would not recommend as a "must go" to place to a fellow visitor. Yes, the beer was good but one can get a micro brew just about anywhere these days served with a smile. read more

You know the rule about watching the show Game of Thrones? Never get attached to any one character because they will eventually be killed off? Fieldwork is kind of that show, but instead of Ned Stark, et all, they have a ton of rotating taps with plenty to choose from and many to fall in love with. So if there's a beer you absolutely fall in love with, more than likely it won't be available on another visit. I fell in love in my latest visit. I tried a Belgian golden ale called Lilith. O. M. G. Just killer! At 8% abv, I was feeling amazing after just 1 and even better after 2. Clean, smooth and easy to drink I could have had these all night long. The mister had a French table beer called Hugo. Was malty and delicious but with a much lower abv. So the with an ever changing cast of beers, it's alright to lose one because another great beer will soon replace it. Unlike GoT where you're just left feeling empty. read more

This tap room located inside the ox bow marketplace is such a little gem. That said, every little shop/business inside ox bow is well curated and adds a little bit of personality to the space. I've been a fan of fieldwork brewing for quite sometime and have visited their other locations but, never this one until the past weekend. A friend and I each ordered a hazy ipa and sat on the deck sipping the glorious ales in the Napa sunshine. It was such a lovely little afternoon. It's an extensive beer list and the average price for a hefty pint is around $7 bucks. Great deal if you ask me! read more

I love fieldwork ,but this time, i can not say the same thing. I've been going to their taproom for years in Berkeley, that's why when we jad a girl's day, we opted to come here for our last stop before heading home. When we arrived it was around 8:15-8:30. We knew they were closing at 9:00, none the less, they we were able to have ine beer. When we were about to leave, which was around 9:05 and 9:10, we were told we couldn't use the bathroom because they had already been cleaned. At this point, my cousin and I were pretty desperate for a bathroom, especially after having beer. Once again, we were told we couldn't use the bathroom even though there were still people drinking in the patio. We were really upset because blyhey nver metioned there was a last call for the bathroom. I mean, if you're going to drink, you already know you're going to be going to the bathroom regularly. When we asked the guy for his name, he said his name was Grant. So, Grant, your customer service sucks!! read more

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED to see upon arrival there's cotton on display as decor. I politely suggested to the workers that they consider changing it due to the historic connotation. The workers there laughed in my face, asked if I didn't like cotton and rolled their eyes, when I explained why, they laughed again and said "oh I thought I was progressive". When I shared this would be my last time at the Napa location (the Berkeley one is great) they continued pouring beers and laughing. DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE BUSINESS read more

The one in Oxbow is fantastic. It's usually not too busy each time that I've been, and always fast. They've got a great variety to choose from, depending on what you're into. What I favor tends to be either an IPA or a sour. Fieldwork produces both, and they're both reasonably priced. I'll for sure come on at least a few more times. read more

I never write reviews, but I wanted to come on here to give the ladies that worked this past friday night some praise for how they handled the big group of 20+ grown adults that were drunk, disrespectful and making way too much unnecessary noise while the rest of us were trying to enjoy ourselves. One of the bartenders approached the group a few times to try to address the problem but she was unfortunately outnumbered. My husband almost stepped in at one point because he had also had enough, but thankfully they ended up calling the cops to have them removed before he said anything. One girl from a nearby table did say something to them after we heard multiple men from the group call the bartenders the B word for refusing to serve them anymore. We had great service during our visit (despite the situation) and will definitely be going back! hopefully with no a-hole adults acting like college kids this time! read more

They have a wonderful selection of their beers on tap and very knowledgeable staff to help you! Love their beers and they do fill growlers (both yours or theirs to go!). read more

Good craft brewery taproom in the Oxbow market with lots of options for sampling several different beers and beer styles. Friendly bartenders and decent prices. I visited here several times and built my own flight of small 4 oz beers so I could sample a few. Unfortunately, there were not many (maybe 7-8) to choose from. I concluded it must be the popularity of the beers as they were all made with high quality ingredients and shown tender loving care by the brew masters. The Chisel IPA showed a burst of citrus, the Burning Daylight and Hazy Train were very good. The Hot Chocolate Mexican Stout was sickeningly sweet. TIP: Be sure to look for the 3 ring binders on the bar - they provide the taste descriptions if you want additional information that is beyond the name on the menu board. read more

I've been to every Fieldwork that they've opened up so far. With the rapid pace that they've been expanding, it's difficult to keep up. They're soon going to be pouring beer all over the Bay Area and beyond. Not that I'm complaining one bit because this is some damn fine beer. I called it when I visited their original taproom/brewery in Berkeley. Somebody sunk some major dough into this company. You just don't see new breweries flourish this quickly. Of course it could be the cash, along with some serious brewing prowess. I was so excited to see that they were opening up in Oxbow Market. I stalked their grand opening for months. I made it for opening week despite nursing a cold. Honestly at the time most beer was tasting the same to me. A few beers into the sampler and the intense hoppy beers that I had chosen, blew out my taste buds completely. The hops overpowered the cold and I was good to go within a few days. Not saying that their beer will cure the common cold, I'm just saying it worked for me... A few weeks later I returned for a Crowler of their amazing Northeastern IPA called Galaxy Juice. They are one of the premier Best Coast breweries doing these NE signature cloudy, unfiltered IPAs right now. That beer was 10/10 for sure! If you're picking up "adventures to go" they have a dedicated station to the left of the main tap area. Perfect for when you need to stop in for some picnic or movie beer real quick like. The tasting room is great. They made excellent use out of the available space in the market. They are not just a place you stop by when visiting Oxbow. They are the destination! Well them along with Ritual Coffee for you teetotalers out there. Speaking of... a Ritual/Fieldwork collaboration would be devine! So whether you're stopping by for a full sampler, a reasonably priced pint, or just a growler/crowler fill, Fieldwork is a very welcome addition to Napa's very small but growing beer army that's taking on the large wino crowd. read more

Always a go to stop when in Napa. Tap list is full of choices but focuses on IPAs. You can grab food at Oxbow and then a pint to enjoy anywhere in the market. Be sure to ask if they have cans to go. Also will fill crowlers of anything on draft. Staff is very knowledgeable and provides great service. read more

Came here for a flight a few weeks ago with my partner. The beer was great but I couldn't help but be bothered by the scurrying and scratching in the wall. We told the staff twice and they dismissed us. Absolutely awful service and possible health concerns with potential mice in the walls. read more

No question, this place brews amazing beer. They are on the current trends and have them nailed and are only getting better. Super solid examples of both juicy, hazy NE style IPAs and the bitter, piney west coast style. Coconut Milk (Coconut IPA brewed with lactose is fantastic) and Overripe were both well done and BeerAdvocate agrees. Special releases like Galaxy Sauce are killer, and there is zero line. Allotments are small for releases, but plenty of crowler opportunities for everything else. This is a MUST hit brewery for any beer nerd. read more

3rd and final adventure in the Ox Bow. My friend put her name in and probably 45 minutes and a cranky 2 year old later, we were seated. Prior to that, we were kind of ignored. There were 3 of us and we were thirsty and hungry again if you would believe it. We were sat finally at a table for 4. It was a spot that the sun did not hit and there was a breeze. Our server Brittany got some help from someone else to take our orders. We all ordered different flights. They were brought to us in a pretty quick manor and then we were told, 3 seats at the outdoor bar had opened up. We ordered food that was brought out pretty quick. Buratta & brussel sprouts. Both were amazing. Then we all were full and ready to head out. All in all, it was a great day. read more

Loved the experience. I love wine tasting but it was very cool to do beer tasting. We will definitely be coming back here for more.

This place cannot wait to close. Seems to take great pleasure in not serving people. For a vacationers centered location, they seem to miss the mark. We have gone in a couple of time and the experience is not good. Beer is good. They way they treat guest st read more

In two visits here I tried 3 or 4 different hazy IPA's and they were all delicious. You've got to ask the server which IPA's are hazy because they don't use that word on their beer list, nor do they use it in the beer descriptions on their website -- which makes me think their brewer dislikes the word "hazy." Ha. read more

Fieldwork is one of my favorite breweries! Every location has a nice place to sit and the environment is relaxing. This one in Napa is in a farmers market and they allow you to buy food from nearby stores and enjoy it with your beer. I tried a beer flight and surprisingly really enjoyed their sour(?) beer, the parfait beer. I usually don't like tart beers but this one was very drinkable! read more

In the land of wine, Fieldwork is making good beer. My husband loves craft beer so I had checked out the Napa Valley options before leaving on our trip. There had already been a fair amount of wine consumed on the day we went by Fieldwork, so he opted to get some crowlers to go for himself and the cat-sitter. Who doesn't want alcohol as payment? The crowlers are easier to transport home on a plane than bottles and they safely made it back home. My husband and the cat sitter both gave the brews thumbs up. It's worth a stop if you are a beer lover. read more

The essence of Napa meets the essence of craft brewing. Really casual, great place to hang as sunset creeps in. Love the PULP!

LOVE the beer and location. You can grab a beer and sit anywhere in the oxbow market. It's nice to sit outside when the weather is nice. The tastes are pretty generous and they always have a rotating selection. I love all of the Parfaits which are usually a sour type beer with a different fruit and vanilla. Please bring the CHERRY PARFAIT back! Sooo good but many other options to choose from as well. read more

Service here is excellent. The bartender even came to our table several times to take our order. It was like..he magically just knew when we were about ready to get up to go to the bar to order. I liked the tangeberry parfait and chloe the best here. I've been to their Berkeley location before and didn't really like it because they only had IPAs when I went. This one has sours and pale ales in addition to IPAs, and has better service. It's also great that it's located in the OxBrow Market, so you can order whatever food you desire while you enjoy your beer. read more

I've been having a lot of experiences lately on #breweries around The Bay and one of my favorites is in why? Because they have plenty of Ipas to taste! Wich, I love btw. Also, they serve enough to get a better conclusion of the taste of the beer selected! We try 2 flights of 6 beers for a really good price! and they have a perfect size to share with somebody what it makes a better beer social experience! read more

Napa is Fieldwork Brewing's latest output. They're currently being hailed as Sacramento's best- http://www.sfgate.com/food/article/Fieldwork-Brewing-Co-A-juggernaut-built-on-11305525.php They've opened a new beer garden in San Mateo. It's a fun little spot, they are welcoming to outside food- since, unfortunately, they have none of their own. I got a growler of their Althea Belgian Table Beer. It's a sweet&sour blend with a slightly fruity flavor. I had come for their Galaxy Sauce, but it wasn't available. Althea goes well with pizza, like the Napa Vegan from neighboring Live Fire. It can get crowded, and it's too bad they don't have food options. I saw a man tenaciously balancing a glass of ceviche with tortilla chips on the way there. Plus, it was crowded. The parking lots were much worse- a reason to go for takeout, have a designated driver, or a Lyft. You don't want to have a beer buzz when vying for one parking spot with 7 other people. Fieldwork lacks atmosphere- the chocolate store, Hudson Goods&C Casa have more character. Fieldwork needs to show what makes it special- compared to other locals like Downtown Joe's, Tannery Bend. read more

I really loved this little brewery counter in Oxbow Public Market. The market itself is great and this is a nice way to spend some time there. We opted for a tasting, which I don't normally do as I know what kind of beer I like by now, but they had numerous varieties of each kind of beer, such as IPA. They were all really different, and all but one was delicious! I especially liked the cleverly named Chaos Emeralds IPA. Our servers were very friendly too. This was a nice break from all the wine in Napa. read more

Amazing service and out-of-this-world beers as per usual. However, I bought a $30 sweater that is supposed to be sized XL but fits as an M on a good day. I live in Santa Clara so coming back to return it involves a 3 hour endeavor and half a tank of gas. This mishap is the only reason why I'm rating 3/5 instead of a 5/5. Disappointed. read more

Service excellent and great variety of beer. However the wine for Napa has been exploited for locals to have a happy medium with a simple rose (4oz for 12$ so 72 a bottle?) fieldwork rose.. umm when did you guys start making wine. Or baller priced wine? I asked for a regular pour and they said it would be @ 24$ a glass ? Ridiculous. Ill pay 24$ for a glass of white wine with a well known name any day. There bottle of red blend (god knows what they use..) thats only 40$ so why.. just why 12 $ for a 4oz pour, two people enjoy a bottle no problem especially a porch pounder like rose from some brewery. I recommend @fieldworkbrewery reconsider there approach to there minimal wine options. Side note: whoever is throwing kegs behind the green wall @ the new location next to kitchen door(restaurant) chill out smoke some weed everything going to be okay. read more
