Immediately when you walk in this quaint and well placed brewery has a welcoming and open feeling. Most of the seating is on the patio that overlooks a park directly connected to the Napa river. Located next to the Oxbow I highly recommend taking a quick detour to stop by this brewery. I tried the War of Art IPA, and while I'm a pretty big fan of their beer, this one stood out as a crisp, easy, drinkable IPA that quenches your thirst and cools you off n a warm day. The bartender was extremely helpful and attentive and kept the line moving fast. I order the kale Caesar salad and it was pleasantly delicious. If you like Caesar dressing I recommend ordering an extra side but I found the light dressing to work really well with the Cale and accoutrement. read more

Heard lots about this place, so I went for dinner. The place is huge with a nice outdoor lounge space, and it has good potential. The service and food, however, fell quite short. There was little attention given to cleaning the tables even when the turnover wasn't that fast. Multiple groups arrived at tables that had not been cleaned. You order yourself from the QR code on the table, so for many this is convenient. The food took forever to arrive, and when it did, nothing tasted good unfortunately. The chicken on the pizza tasted bad, and the wings and fries were average at best. They do have a good beer selection. I would go back only if I want to get beer and maybe simple bar food with a group. read more

But I did enjoy my blackberry sour. The Artichoked Up pizza sounded so good, but the Fireball was the one recommended if I wanted some heat- and it delivered on the heat front! Crust on pizza can usually go in the trash for me... But when it comes to Detroit style pizza- Give me all the calories! Stopped to grab a beer before doing some other stuff. Staff was fairly friendly, they do offer food and I saw a couple people order and it looked really good. Offered indoor and outdoor seating which was mixed between covered and uncovered which was really nice. They did also have some games to grab and play. My husband, sister & I came here last Tue around 6:30pm. Karley was nice enough to give us a taste of their wonderful Adrianne Belgian Tripel beer, which we all 3 loved $8.50ea. We also ordered the Hot Pretzel w/ Mustard $8 which was a bit small, but still hot a yummy. The Hummus was also good $10. We decided to split the Artichoked Up Detroit Style Pizza $22, and added Pepperoni $3. It was magically delicious, especially since the bottom had a layer of crispy crunchy cheese, and the pizza itself was like fluffy baked bread. We're all craving it still. read more

Fieldwork is a favorite Bay Area brewery for me, from their super clean beers and varied styles to their outdoorsy nature aesthetic. They've been expanding lately and Napa is one of their newer ones. It's located nearby downtown. It sits in a shopping area with many restaurants and a market nearby, so this is an easy stop for a break or destination in its own right. They have mainly outdoor tables to take advantage of the sunshine, many under umbrellas too. Inside has a clean modern metal/wood decor with greens to match their logo and menu. Inside the entry are refrigerators with cases, 4-packs, and singles of their various beers to-go. As this is a taproom, they didn't have anything exclusive to here but if you're unfamiliar and a beer fan in wine country, this is a great spot to stop! I went there on the Saturday evening. The place is more than half full but not busy. I like the interior is minimalist with warm color and wooden furniture. There is an outdoor seating area with heating lamp which is very nice. Ordering food and drinks is easy . They have QR code on each table that you scan and order. I ordered beer flight and pita chips with hummus. I was surprised that glasses for the beer flight are regular size glasses but I was able to finish all of them. Love the beers especially the Hills&Valleys and Night Maker. Pita chips with hummus is also delicious. Dog friendly both inside and out which is great if the weather is too much for your well-behaved leashed furry friend. We were able to easily find a space for 4 plus 2 pups that like their space. Since we went in the summer they had a Frose in addition o the bear options. The kitchen was down for remodel but they had deals set up with nearby restaurants to order and deliver food while enjoying the ambiance at Fieldwork. One thing I love about this spot is the large indoor and outdoor seating areas. The beer is of course great too! I love how many non alcoholic choices they have added. So many great options! My wife enjoyed her supertonic and I enjoyed my rice lager. You can get food delivered to this location but they don't serve their own food from what I could tell, but other reviews say differently? Overall really great! Interesting beer selections to choose from, I had a pickle beer which surprisingly good. They are about 3 dollars each for about 3 or 4 ounces. I'm a big IPA fan and for me Fieldwork is the best spot in Napa. There are other local spots that I enjoy but Fieldwork is my first choice for the beer, and the PIZZA! They make the best Detroit Style Pizza in Wine Country and they are consistent. One thing that I think is key to a good dining spot is consistency. Wow, a great place! Casual and very welcoming. The beers are fantastic. If you want to sit and enjoy a great beer you need to come here. We, husband and I initially had a stout and an IPA, but loved them so much we decided to each enjoy a tasting flight. Decided to stop in for lunch on their outdoor patio while walking around the Oxbow Market. You order at the counter and grab your beer but they'll deliver the food to your table. I believe you can also order from a QR code at the table as well. The staff was very friendly and made some pizza recommendations for us. We decided to share two of them and they were both pretty good. For being deep dish Detroit style pizza, they weren't overly dense, which we liked. The beer list is pretty decent and we enjoyed our picks. The patio was full of dogs, which seems to be the norm here. They have treats and water for our furry friends outside . This location is kid and dog friendly. They have clean restrooms and a water station for us humans lol . They also have food . So the way it works is you order inside and get a table number and the food gets delivered to you . Let's talk about the food ! They offer Detroit style pizzas . Let me say amazing!! So so good the food is a must try . My boys both shared a pepperoni pizza and they loved it. I ordered the Fireball pizza it comes in white sauce so delicious. All the pizzas are 4 slices but they are huge I got full off two slices. Overall love this location I feel like when in Napa I have to stop and grab a cold beer . Excellent beer and the flight pours were generous. They don't have food anymore so that was disappointing. We had the flights and they were all excellent. Parking lot by the place was full although the place was near empty on Saturday noon. We parked a bit down the street but easy walk over. They also have beer slushies!!! You know we had to come here on husband's birthday given it's his favorite craft brewery! It was a Sunday afternoon and it was quiet which was perfect when you waited hours to eat brunch at La Cheve and have a baby with you. The most magical thing happened in that they were playing J Dilla and other hip hop instrumentals. My husband thought I asked them to put it on for him to honor his bday and I almost wanted to take the credit but refrained. Been to the one in Berkeley before so excited to check out this location. First time coming here on a Sunday evening and was surprised that it was packed, but wasn't surprised after tasting the beer again. Great flavors and a huge variety of options - loved everything we got and would have stayed for more if we didn't have to drive back to the city. REALLY loved the Rainbow Parfait sour ale - sweet, flavorful, and not too tart. Beautiful flight tastings and they allow you to bring in outside food provides you with a chill and hangout type of vibe. Great to just relax with friends or take a date to get to know them. Also think it's great they have some home-brewed sodas for those that are not beer drinkers to check out. Friendly staff too as they provided some plasticware for our food as the delivery didn't come with any. My wife and I both got flights. The flights are pretty hefty pours - not the typical 4 oz pours you might expect, think these were like 6 oz pours or something. So by the time I finished the tasters, I was done. But I was just so pleased to see a brewery that wasn't IPA after IPA. There were four or five belgian options, a pair of stouts, and some nice lagers too.
