Terrific! I came here after my usual place cancelled on me completely last minute. My dog definitely needed a grooming, so I desperately searched out another option in my area that actually was open on Sundays. Trust me, this is actually a tougher feat than you might imagine. When I first called, they said their groomer was not there. About half an hour later, they called me back saying he had come in unexpectedly. Yay! I rushed over. Service was very friendly here. Location was convenient. I had my dog get a summer cut and he looked sooo good when he was done. They even put a bow tie on his neck, and sprayed him with cologne. He smelled so good, and even a day later you could still smell the cologne on him. The groomer said my dog was such a delight that he would be happy to groom him any Sunday I needed. What great service! This store also carries various types of dog food, both refrigerated and non-refrigerated. You can also pick up some mats, treats, bedding, toys, you name it! So it's a great comprehensive store for your pet needs. I am glad I found this place, and would happily return. read more

After 3 years of being loyal customers, grooming our dog every 6 weeks and purchasing products, we've decided to take our business elsewhere. The Owner is not interested in customer service, or good business practices for that matter. The prices keep going up, and it seems like every time we groom our dog they have a new reason to charge more. They say it's because our dog has some matting and it takes more time. Well, yeah, he has soft fine hair and it's going to matt. It's happened his whole life. They know this, he's been grooming there since 4 months. Mind you, our schnauzer is an indoor dog that lives a better life than many human beings. There's no lack of care or consideration on our part, we groom him regularly at home, with the products Fido's sold us, but it's just the nature of his hair. It started off being $5 extra, then $10 extra, then $15 extra, with no end in sight. The last time we groomed him he had the least amount of mats ever, yet they charged the biggest up charge ever. When we asked them to not perform a certain part of the grooming about a year ago, we never saw a discount for that. So this only works in their favor. As a courtesy, and a genuine attempt to avoid leaving, we tried discuss the issue with the owner before just walking away and she was very dismissive, defensive, and argumentative. She didn't make the slightest attempt to keep a customer of several years happy, a faithful customer that spends a lot more than the few dollars she's arguing about. It makes no business sense that during a pandemic business owners are treating their customers this way. It makes no mathematical sense when you add up what we spend in a year, against what this petty up charge gets them. When our original groomer at Fido's, Jack, still worked there not only did the grooming look amazing but he never charged extra. After that we've had a couple new groomers and it seems like they get to decide if they're going to charge more. Bad business model for a customer. And, unfortunately, the quality of the grooming has gone down as well over time. There are groomers all over town, so onto the next one. read more

Tried to call about store being opened and no one answered. Google showed open so took a chance. Made it to the store with 30 min to close and was turned away from doing a self wash because they were "almost closed". Not sure how long it takes others to wash a 16 lb dog, but it takes me no longer than 15 minutes. Guess I'll need to find a new spot. read more

Very disappointed! Had had a previous good experience. On our recent visit we brought our puppy to the store for a grooming etc. He was kept for 6 hours, when he was picked up, instead of looking like he was groomed, he looked like I cut his hair with rusty scissors in the dark. We complained, asked for our money back but all we were told was that they were shorthanded, and we could bring him back some other time to have him fixed. We decided we could not trust going back to Fido's Market and have since found a more reputable establishment who did an amazing job. read more

I LOVE IT AND I DON'T EVEN HAVE A DOG! When I am out and about in the parks and just walking in the area, I always meet the cutest dogs. Naturally, I have to stop, talk and get their names before continuing on my way, (shout out to Wally, Tater Tot and Bear!). I think that I am starting to get puppy fever. However, I have never been able to go into a pet store because my allergies just overwhelm me. Not only that, I can not stand the smell of pet supplies, my eyes start to water and I can tell that I am in the vicinity when I am in the club or Walmart. I have been in front of this shop so many times but have never gone in because I was just in a hurry. Today, I took the time to actually go into the store and it was awesome. This store is obviously very clean because my nose could not even tell that it was a pet store. This is a great supermarket for your dog; they have quality nutritious foods, both refrigerated and shelved. They also have toys, bedding, mats, grooming facilities and special birthday treats. It is one stop shopping for your pet! This is the place where you bring your "naughty" dog to show him what he can earn if he behaves and this is where the "good" dogs come to be rewarded. So it works for everyone. The staff was very sweet and engaging although I told them that I am not a pet owner, and expressed appreciation for my visit. So now that I have picked out the right pet supply store/market, I'm ready for my new puppy!! read more

They don't care about you or your dog. I chose to have my 14 year old dog groomed at Fido's Market (which is over an hour away) so he'd have one groomer who groomed him from start to finish, I could wait with him until the groomer was ready for him, and be there to pick him up as soon they finished so he wouldn't be caged at any point. The first two appointments with Barbara were great. She was really nice and caring. The 3rd appointment was with Lorri. I got there 5 minutes after they called saying he'd be finished in 15 minutes. The lady at the front commented on how fast I got there and was visibly surprised. My dog was barking in distress, clearly in a cage. It took her several minutes to tell me that Lorri was in the middle of bathing another dog, despite the fact he wasn't even supposed to be done for another 10 minutes. She made no effort to get him or even check on him. I was left standing there forced to hear my dog barking desperately for 10 minutes. When he suddenly stopped barking I was even more concerned. He was forced to pee in the cage that he wasn't supposed to be in and stand in it while I was waiting for someone to bring him out to me. Nobody even checked on him. When Lorri finally got him she "cleaned" him by wiping the pee off with wet wipes or something. I paid $75 for him to be clipped and clean. Wiping pee off with wet wipes is hardly clean. If she had truly called 15 minutes before she expected to be done (instead of after she was finished, lying that he'd be done in 15 minutes) none of that would have happened. I have no idea how long she actually spent grooming or how long he'd been back there barking in distress with nobody checking on him before she finally decided to call me, lying he'd be done in 15 minutes. He was extremely upset all day after that (as was I) and he seemed off for days afterwards. He has never before been treated like that and that definitely is not acceptable treatment. I expended a lot of time and money taking him to Fido's expecting him to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Given the attitude of the employees at his last appointment I don't feel comfortable entrusting him to Fido's care if this is what Fido's finds acceptable, and apparently it is as I emailed them twice over the last week and they haven't even bothered to respond. Clearly they don't care about their customers - dog or human. read more

My two year old pit mix was adopted in May, and we washed him in the tub at our house witch was messy! We came here because of all the rain, and we knew he would never dry out and get that musty dog smell. Walking into the shop it is laid out so you can see all the fabulous foods they offer! In the back is a dog wash that is more beautiful than my bathroom. We got a free dog wash because we had a recent rescue, and she even gave us a free blueberry facial so we could see how much it would help (and it totally did)! Our dog doesn't particularly like water so it wasn't his favorite thing comming here, but the speed of the high powered dryer cut the time in half for us to bathe and dry him. On our way out we got a few samples of some of the high quality grain-free food they offered, and knowledgable explanations on why its good to feed grain free, and raw. I have done some price comparison already and their raw food is actually cheaper than every place I can find! She also sent us home with some reading! I highly recommend comming here for dog baths and food. Our dog smells and looks amazing (he is black, and usually has dandruff so thats a huge deal for us) from the essential oils in the natural bath! Nice store and good selection. I had mostly good experiences at fido's. But recently there was a issue where i got double charged by one of there reps and trying work out the reason and cause was a nightmare. They refunded the initial charge even though i didn't ask them too which was fine. I was treated very poorly and had the owner realized both payments had been voided. I have spent thousands of dollars at fido's and would still be an avid supported had the owners not threatened me with legal action for the mistake they had made in processing the payment. I will now be purchasing my raw food from another local pet store. Don't expect a great customer service experience at this establishment. read more

I love going to this unique pet store. They have an awesome selection of food and have the only food my two cats will eat actually! Their groomer is also awesome with cats. Now I also have dogs too but I must say my cats are much more finicky. However my lab has benefited from some of the natural food there when spring comes around as she always is very allergic to pollen. The staff are well trained and always very helpful in explanations about that uniquenesses of the food products carried there so I'm glad to have Fido's so close to my home. read more

Unfortunate experience with groomer. I have a Pomeranian and asked for a puppy cut leaving his undercoat uncut with fluffy legs, not tapered and head left longer. When I got back he was shaved all over except for his face and tail and paws. I could see the lines where the comb was used, it was uneven and I could see his skin behind his legs where it had been cut so short near his elbows. I have never had such a bad grooming experience. They only gave me a 50% discount. Unfortunately the owners did not apologize. read more

Awesome store, informative staff. Came here for the first time a few weeks ago when I made the decision to switch my pup to a raw diet and found that they were one of the (very) few retailers that carried both brands that were recommended to me by a trusted professional. Aside from carrying the two I was looking for, they have countless other options for people like me looking to either support locally owned businesses or to support the smaller/lesser known companies, not just the big mainstream ones that you can find in every single pet store in town. Since it was my first time dealing with raw food (and not knowing the basics of cooking 101/basic food preparation), I had quite a few questions about raw feeding and the sales associate happily answered all of them and didn't once get annoyed or bothered by having to walk me through each step. I made the epic mistake of bringing my fur child with me to the store which made the task a little more difficult but she was still very patient and sweet. Even when my pet hastily grabbed a jerky (not once but twice) that was hanging out of a bin by the register while I was paying, she didn't make me feel bad about it at all, though I was still mortified as she has never EVER done anything like that before while in a store. Definitely happy I found them and I will be coming to them for all of my future raw food needs! read more

So I bought a chew toy for my brand new puppy and one of the employees recommended a Hurley brand toy due to its durability. After 24 hours, my puppy had chewed off two different sections of this toy and almost choked on it. I returned to the store with the damaged toy and let the owner know what happened. I went to buy a replacement toy (Kong) and she had the nerve to charge me the $1.09 difference! My pup almost choked on a toy she recommended and I had to go back to her store to return it... The least she could've done was not ask for the difference (a dollar!). Needless to say, they lost my business for good with that move. Poor business practice. Way to differentiate yourselves from the "big box" pet stores. read more

The best that among all self-service dog baths I've experienced in GA suburban area (Alpharetta, Roswell, Suwanee, Norcross, etc.)

Unfortunately, we had a very poor experience with Fido's Market while traveling in Atlanta. We do not get to Atlanta often, but when we do, we always take our dog there. We purchased a puzzle toy recommended by the staff for our small shih tzu and small plastic pieces came off within a few minutes of supervised play. On our next trip to Atlanta, we attempted to exchange the product with our receipt and the store owner would not honor our request. We were even asked if we would like the defective and dangerous toy back to give to our pet! Self-serve bathing is great at this store, but I do not recommend purchasing toys here as the store does not uphold their products. There are many other quality pet stores in Atlanta that stand by their products and provide better customer service. read more

Store is great... but I was unhappy with the groomer. She shaved my dog very very short and some areas completely shaved! When I called her she started arguing with me that I need to make it clear! I did but she kept arguing! And also she said now You will go to another groomer and you will make the same mistake! Really???? Can't suggest this place for grooming! read more

My wife and I were new to the Alpharetta area. We stopped at Fido's Market and asked what they would charge to groom our dogs. Michelle got the groomer from the back and quoted us a price. We later brought our dogs (each under 15 pounds) in for grooming. When we came in to pick-up our dogs Michelle increased the price by 20%. I explained that she had quoted us a lower price but she was not responsive. If you think that $120.00 is reasonable for one full groom and one partial groom for two small dogs this is the place! Michelle was not only rude but condescending and had a cavalier attitude. The actual grooming was mediocore. I will never go back! read more

My wife and I have been to Fido's a few times and we can honestly say that Fido's is a well run shop where the owner/operators are genuinely concerned for your pet's well being. There is an excellent selection of grain free and natural dog foods to choose from. As well as plenty of environmentally friendly dog toys, collars and leashes. There has even been a table of fresh baked dog treats on display every time we have been there (it's our dogs favorite part of the visit). I was skeptical about the self dog wash being that it's cheaper to bath your dog at home but between having the shampoos, towels, and even an apron for me, provided coupled with not having to clean up (our dogs shed a ton when we bathe them) made it worth it. But on top of that, they have an air dry system that dries your dog completely in just a couple of minutes. No stinky wet dog smell afterwards, that's HUGE! (for me anyway) Last but not least. Their prices are reasonable. My wife and I could find some things on line for less but the shipping charges killed the savings and don't get me started on what a rip off the big marts and cos are. Not only do they have a non-existent selection of truly healthy foods for your pet, they charge out the wazoo for their crap. read more

The store products are top notch, but I have experienced a few issues with the groomer. The last couple of times my beautiful Cockapoo has been groomed, I have had issues. The first issue is the groomer shaved my sweety so short on her stomach, she had two rather large scratches. She was very uncomfortable. When I called, I was asked to supply pictures of her injury and I happened to have pictures taken on my iPad. I sent them to Fidos and they assured me that they would talk to the groomer. The next visit I spoke to the groomer and she indicated that she would not shave her as close. Not much concern and not the least apologetic. She indicated that I could pick up my dog I an hour. Within 30 minutes I received a call that my dog was ready. I was in the middle of a quick lunch and when I shared that, the staff indicated with a great deal of frustration in her voice, I was told that I would be called when my dog was ready for pickup. When I told her Id be there in 20 minutes, she said a sigh, well ok and abruptly hung up. When I arrived to pick up my dog, she was still damp by her ears and face area. Later I notice that her hair was longer in areas around her body....a rush job for sure. For the amount of money that I was charged, I expect better and thorough service. I did call the manager and was given excuse after excuse, none which remotely dealt with the lack of service and the groomers rush job. I was offer a minuscule discount for my next grooming service, I think I will pass and find a grooming service more inline with my expectations. read more

I don't know how I came across this place but I'm so glad I did! I have a goldendoodle who tends to mat (and is also very hyper)... and I took him to Petsmart where they said they had to shave him. The groomer went on to "prove it to me" by roughly putting a comb through his fur and making him cry. I promptly took my dog out of that place and brought him to Fido's. Angelina was so sweet with him. She spent several hours brushing him and giving him breaks so he wouldn't be stressed. But he was able to be groomed without being shaved. Imagine that. And she did a wonderful job. Now I always take him here to be groomed and bathed because I know he is in good hands and they use quality products on him. Plus, I just love this place. The entire staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. And the products are top notch. Most of them are organic and local, if possible. I can trust anything I buy from this store. read more

This place is absolutely fabulous! If you are looking for an attentive, caring, and loving Groomer come here ASAP! She only does appointments and commits to the whole hour for your pet, that way you don't have to worry about your dog being crated up waiting for her appointment for hours! Let me tell you about my experience. I have a 16 year old toy poodle who got lost and returned to me with very very severe mats! Because of her age and senstive skin we are very very skeptical of people handling her. I called ahead of time and spoke to Angelina who is the main groomer at Fidos. When I spoke to her over the phone she was very helpful about the steps I should take before bringing her in. I expressed my concerns on my dog getting groomed because of skin being so sensitive, and the fact that my dog has a pertruding fatty lump under her belly. Angelina said she was very comfortable taking on the task on grooming my dog and immediately made an appointment with me. When I took her in Angelina was so so nice and let me go in while she groomed Fifi. She was so careful and patient and didnt cut her once! She pointed out my dog had a little cut that looked like it was turning into an infection. She recommended an Organic Virgin Coconut Oil that is great for their skin and cuts! So far it has done miracles! The owners were present as well and so well versed and knowledgeable when it came to their products. They are a fan of Wholistic, Natural, and Organic products for their pets as well as big believer on RAW foods which I am thinking about trying out soon. I am so grateful for them and will be back in 6 weeks for another appointment! read more

I can't say enough good things about Fido's Market. My sheltie had to undergo 4 treatments of chemotherapy beginning in June. He lost 10 pounds. The Oncologist said he'd be just fine and wouldn't suffer the same symptoms that humans do. How wrong they were. I started bringing Watson into the store so he'd have a pleasant experience rather than only going to the Vet's, resulting in a solid week of not eating because he didn't feel well enough. Fido's Market went above and beyond helping me to find foods that my dog would eat. Not only did they offer him samples of various foods, but they sent me home with foods that would help restore and nourish his little body. It's been a long 5 months but I am happy to say he's eating high quality nutritious foods and thriving. Now he can't wait to eat, and he's no longer on pills to increase his appetite!
