I would give them a ZERO if I could. Internet sucks, service sucks, billing sucks. The only thing they provide well is basic TV / Cable service. If you want anything more than 3 TVs, be prepared to pay. The worst of all is they are one of the only companies in the Harrisonville Mo. area that provides one in one package for TV and Internet. If you are a webmaster, you do NOT want to use Fidelity as your ISP - they don't resolve their database cache of the internet very often - in fact I was told it was only done 'weekly' which is absurb! It means the information you get on the internet is not going to be 'fresh' or even up-to-date! It also means if you are a webmaster and need to make changes to your site on a host somewhere, you will be waiting days to even be able to get to the new site. Totally bad practice making the service less than stellar. However, the speed is fairly good when it is working. read more

My overall experience with Fidelity Communications has been positive, All outages have been resolved relatively quickly with reasonably fast internet and download speeds. The telephone service I have with Fidelity goes out almost every day... and usually the internet goes out at the same time..... This has been going on for about the past ... 2 weeks . A repairman was here last week.... but I still have the same problem.. he did nothing.. Right now, the telephone has not been on since yesterday afternoon... it's been without a dial tone for 14 hours.... and I have to wait another 24 hours for another repairman to come out. When my telephone is working I'm besieged by spoofed telephone calls from telemarketers... ( spoofed phone numbers means... a false phone number is on the caller ID... Usually a phone number that has been disconnected.... but Fidelity will do absolutely nothing about this unlawful act). I could switch to AT&T or Verizon... but I'd rather do business with less destructive corporations..(though for all I know, Fidelity is just and bad). read more

This company is crap, just like everyone under me said. I pay for 100mbps down speed and I'm only getting 11mbps. What type of stuff is this company pulliing??? This is the only internet provider that isn't through satellite in Lawton, which sucks butt. I have 3mbps up speed, which is alright I guess. I feel like if I pay for 100mbps down then I should actually get the down speed I pay for as well as more than 3mbps up (if the server can handle that). After having them for a year, I upgraded my service to include cable. BIG mistake. My first bill was 186. , when I called they explained they billed me a 1/2 month ahead. Didn't give me any reason. Said it would even out on the next bill, it didn't. Now they have a credit of 68.00 on my account and said I can't use the credit until the following month. Good customer service in Lawton but will never recommend or give them any more of my money. Total ripoff and yes they do nickel and dime you for everything. We changed over to their internet company in 2018 (August) because our son's wanted higher speed internet for gaming. Yes, we were with AT&T and the speed was quit slow, but one of our son's had assured us that he would pay and keep up the bill for us. Now I had seen their trucks running around here for years, but "NEVER HAD A GOOD FEELING ABOUT THEM". It was truly negative energy for me, and it proved to be TRUE! Once we started having problems after becoming customers, the non-existent customer service came through like the five stars that I should be able to give them. By May of last year, we found out that our PSO Electrical box was locked shut and we were unable to access it because the clearly unintelligent tech from Fidelity who completed the installation had done this, unfortunately, without our knowledge. I mean who does that, and we certainly hadn't had any installer every do something so ridiculous. Only when our power went out did we find out this travesty. After going back and forth with them, and I mean making mean and aggressive calls, did they come out to fix it. However, when I started disputing portions of my payments with my credit card company, they started tacking on "Return Check" fees and late fees (for the portion that was disputed). Now mind you this was after the incident in May, in addition to a couple of other instances before that (October and November 2018) where the internet was out for long periods or really sporadic. Each time we had to call and hope to get it corrected. Well, after the PSO incident, things continued to get worse. The internet began to be more and more unstable. I finally got them to replace the router (August - 2019), only to have more problems. So by fall of last year (November - 2019), I got them back because I was paying for something that I wasn't getting and I would get mad and dispute it with my credit card company (not a paper bank check, remember charged repeatedly for "Return Check Fee?") and dispute it and they would charge me both Return Check Fee and Late Fee, even though I wasn't late. Well, when they came out in November (after us having consistent and daily dropouts, even with the new router - oh, and a range extender), we found out that the power setting hadn't even been set to the correct setting when they came out and installed the new router in August. After promising me credits, they retracted the credit with more fees and rebilling me the entire bill saying that the credit card company had taken it all back; I mean a really HUGE MESS! Also, because of how bad it had gotten, I did a Better Business Bureau complaint. This only lead to this company becoming more retaliatory. Well, I left in January (2020) I had had it, I'm getting to old and tired for this mess. I went back to AT&T only to now get 1.5 mbps, whereas before leaving in 2018 we were getting at least 18 mbps. So, this internet is a joke, and AT&T seems to be "scared" of Fidelity; the customer's in the Lawton area have no options; and we (and whoever else around here in our neighborhood) has zero speed internet. I feel like (and the AT&T tech's and service consultant said it too) this company (for some insane and unethical reason) is being allow to CONTROL AND MONOPOLIZE this area for sure. I don't want them as my internet provider or anything else, no matter what because they are a (and God knows this is the truth) truly horrible company, with an excess of horrible people working there (especially some control, mean-freak named Megan), I will never go back and other companies like AT&T need to up their game and compete properly, like nearly every other aspect of living does! read more

This is THE WORST place to take your business. My apartment complex wouldn't allow satellite service, which isn't an issue. Our leasing office recommended Fidelity, and had I known what I know now, I would have done a little more research. They specifically told us TWICE, that the fastest speed internet they offer would support online gaming and several other devices at the same time, the games froze up and internet took forever to load 90% of the time. They said after three months of service our bill would decrease, well, it never did. In fact, after a year of service, our bill went from $145 to $180. The people they have answering the phone also have no clue how to answer any question you have about billing, and they tell you to go to the website and you should be able to fix your problems there. The hits just keep coming. Im here in Lawton for work temporarily and I got home to my apt from work on Tuesday to no internet I reset the modem three times and called Fidelity and left my number for a call back this was at 4:30pm they returned my call 45 minutes later at 5:15 pm After I left my apt to get a few things done instead of waiting around for these people to call me back. They tried a few things but couldn't seem to see what the problem was. I told them I needed internet so I could get some personal things done online and that they needed to get a tech out to fix their screw up. I was informed that the techs stop working at 5pm WTF the screwed things up before that time I called before that time but they DO NOT have the costumer service to fix things after that time? What about those customers that work beyond 5 or 6 in the evening, not everyone has the luxury of taking time off of work to meet the cable repair person in the middle of the day. I get back to my apt. to find the cable working I guess it was an area outage. They have techs to fix area outages after hours but no techs to visit private residence after people get home from work. Fast forward two days I have fridays off and Im online taking care of business and there is a knock at the door. Fidelity tech is here to fix my internet, Two days later! Nice timely response from dispatch. I feel for those that work for Fidelity and have to suffer the wrath of the pissed off customers because managers can't make good decisions to take care of customers. Fidelity I hope you read these comments and take some action to fix things to provide stable cable TV and Internet to your customer base. Service does not work. Their cable is terrible. The box is overlarge, gets super hot and has highly limited capabilities. They sucker you by lying about the rates. They will tell you for life, and it'll only last 6-12 months. Our Internet sucks. We dropped cable and just use netflix now. Less hassle right? Well now I have green lights across my extra 2-4 something dollars a month fidelity wireless router is green across all the lights and yet I have no internet. It's not just me. I have 3 other people spread throughout town with the same issue. It has been up and down for months. And this week alone it's been off about 50% of the time. Why the hell do i pay 60 bucks to a company that doesn't even give me a service. Let me put some perspective. I get unlimited mobile data on two cell phones for a data package that costs less than that. Sure it's not as quick which is why, oh right, I pay 60 dollars a month to fidelity for Internet! But now I don't have it even though I paid for it. I am amazed that your company has been able to stay in business. After our bill increased dramatically over a 12 month period, I contacted CEO John Colbert directly asking why as a loyal customer I was being charged almost twice as much as a new customer would be charged. After a couple of polite emails, he abruptly ended the conversation with, "I think you will be happier with AT&T DSL service. I am sorry that we can not meet your needs." My internet has gone out 10 times in the last year. Do they do anything about it? Hell no! All they do is tell you to reset the router, unplug the router, and all this bull crap. I rarely take the time to write a review, but this company warrants me taking time out of my busy schedule. I have their internet service at my business. From the very beginning, the sales rep misled me on what speeds I was getting. After the fact, he stated "well what I meant was that your 5mbps fiber connection will be just as fast as the 100mpbs you had from with the other company you had was shared and your connection with us is dedicated" So the whole relationship with this company from the beginning did not start on a good footing. My service has been down so many times I can't count. In the last month, my service has gone down at least 4 times. This is a huge issue as I spend thousands on advertising. Since this service affects my VoIP phone service, the phones were not working either. My business shuts down when I have no internet. Today, It went down at 2pm and they promised someone would come out today and call me. I waited and waited and waited. I began to get concerned that no one would show. So I called back and I was assured that someone would be at my office today. well..... 7 hours later, no call and no one showed up! I finally gave up and went home. The last time the tech was out at my office, they did say that they were having network issues and did acknowledge the issue was on their end and that it would be fixed. The time before that, they were't sure what was causing the problem, but they said that they would get back to me. They NEVER followed up to explain what happened. As a busy business owner, when the service finally came back up, I would not follow up to ask what the issue was as I am so busy with running my business. I am done with this company. If you are a business and rely on the internet at all, DO NOT sign up with Fidelity Communications! I urge you, I compel you! Avoid Fidelity Communications. The internet service and the customer service is horrific. One last thing, even when my service was up, I would go to their speed test and it would often clock in at less than 2mbps even thought I was promised to get 5mbps. A tech did acknowledge the problem, but could never tell me why the speeds were so slow. read more

The apartments where I reside only have this company for a internet/phone/ communication carrier for home service. The only reason I ever seriously considered moving, that's how bad the options and service are. At the minimum I wish they would step their game up to support steaming apps,i.e HBO NOW. One simple word describes their service "TERRIBLE". If you have a choice of anyone else take it. I'm signed up for 16 Meg service and generally run between 6 and 11, never saw a 16 yet. Fortunately I know the manager here locally and he takes care of me as much as possible, but they are having a lot of hardware and wire problems at this time. Fidelity Communications is the only cable network in Lawton. It is average with regards to HDTV programming, phone and internet services. The cost of their services a little higher than country average and I suppose that is due to there being no other cable competition. A major flaw in their HDTV offering is the set-top box you must rent. To turn ON or OFF closed caption (CC) requires that you power down the set-top box, bring up a very technical menu and enable/disable CC. Once CC is enabled, and the box powered backup, CC it is always on top so you cannot read the TV GUIDE or program INFO. (CC covers them up.) In addition, you cannot turn ON or OFF CC without interrupting the TV show you are watching or program(s) you are recording. My desire is that Fidelity upgrade their set-top box so it is easier to use. read more

I have been a customer of Fidelity Communication for many years. Whether it is telephone service or internet service they are horrible on almost all issues. The only good I have to say about them is the poor guys that have to go out on service calls. With adverse conditions they are very courteous and maintain their composure and do everything possible to correct the situations. Unfortunately, Fidelity is the only show in town on the internet service so people in some areas are forced to put up with their inadequate service. As soon as other sources become available I will be the first one to move on. If you have an other options available to you I would highly suggest that you use someone else. read more

I have had quite a bit of trouble with these dishonest jerks. There are always strange charges, double charges, etc.... on the bills they send out. So, you call the customer service line and receive promises that the mistaken items will be taken off your bill. Switched to their 25 MB/S internet because it wasn't worth paying for the 125 and they double charged me. Refuse to pay anything back. Out of all the internet / cable companies I've had to deal with -- Fidelity is absolutely horrible! And, like someone else mentioned, if you live in an area like I do, you don't have much of a choice for internet but I'm going to look into it. As far as cable goes ... I may go with Dish because for the same price I can get more channels. I'm paying for a Mega bundle and it doesn't even include the "second tier" cable channels that every other cable companies provide for the same price. Anyway ... I depend on my computer / internet speed for business. I'm paying for 75 mbps but when I speed check it's always topping out at 25 - 30 mbps. I call them. I am on hold for over half an hour and finally had to hang up because my phone battery was dying. Also ... they had me pay my first months bill in advance. Today I get a bill for the first month -- that I'd already paid for! I hear that it's really difficult to deal with their billing department and, of course, that's a second call I'll have to make. I figure I'll need to set a couple of hours aside tomorrow -- most of that time being on hold. Fidelity needs to clean up its act and stop providing such poor quality and service. You won't always be the only game in town and it's apparent by all of these highly negative reviews that most people are going to jump ship as soon as something else comes along. read more

Their internet service is extremely inconsistent with both wired and wireless connection on the west side of Lawton. Mac's airport utility shows that their router/modem is connected to the interment then 30 sec latter it is disconnected without a server. This happens multiple times a day. Every time I call the service department they send a technician out 2-3 days latter and always say their internet service is working with a good signal. They blame our Apple computers as the problem but can't tell me what to do to correct the internet issues. We have had multiple issues ever since we started using Fidelity and I have talked to many other people with the same problem. In Lawton there is really no choice if you want fast DSL. The city council signed a franchise agreement with them so we have no other internet company's to select except for AT&T that only offers extremely slow connection. read more
