I'm 2 weeks new to Lawton. I entered the store today to trade my sons nitendo 64 games. Instead of looking up the value of the games he throws out an offer of $15. I previously went to the store the day prior and the value of the video games were looked up and I was offered $70 store credit or $35 cash. This was all at the same store. When I went to question the value and how he could check the value he laughed at the games and asked if I wanted the $15 or not. I'm an avid video game player. laziness and rudeness lost out on a lifetime customer. I don't recommend this store to anyone. go to Game Xchange instead. read more

Love this place. Nice variety of games from NES to N64, you name it, they got it. Staff is friendly too.

Charles sold us a console that plugs into modern TVs but does not display because of unsupported resolution. He sold us an expansion game without informing us that the base game is required. All other games sold to us stopped reading partway through. When we brought them back, he argued and belittled. He said to be happy that decade old games run for even a short time. Their guarantee is that your money won't leave their store. They did not return our full payment and they know that they don't have to because OK doesn't have a BBB or consumer protection laws. read more

Hard to say how dissatisfied, disappointed, and angry I am. Went to Game King on Gore looking for switch stuff, skateboard gear, and more. They talked down to me cause I am a woman and I know that because he told me I didn't know what I was talking a out. When my husband came to tell them they were wrong they treated him entirely different. He knew what he was talking about but I didn't. I will tell anyone who listens not to shop there and also just for context they did it to another woman who was also there getting a game for her son she asked about the sale they had and they said 'well yeah that's what the sign says'. really? read more

I guess I'm just a skeptic, but this place is very busy for the amount of people they have working. Also, the depreciation of games is worse than purchasing a new car! GTA 5 came out last year and is only worth $10?!? This makes me not want to buy games for a very long time. My husband purchased, what he was told, is a brand new PS4 controller and the sound doesn't work. Needless to say that is the reason I rate the 3 stars. read more

Game King 1 - Gameboy Advance games - Electronics Repair Near Me - Lawton, Oklahoma

I called them to repair a old xbox 360 we have they advised it usually is a same day service since it's a simple fix. So brought the the xbox in the next day and the person at the front advise me it will be about 7 days I was like WTF that is not what I was told over the phone. Well since none of the techs were there they were not sure when they can get to it. This disappointed me and is why I gave this place 4 stars one person says one thing and another says something else. Well it is what it is and I still needed the xbox fixed. So gave them the console. Surprisingly they called that evening advising that it's been repaired and ready for pickup. That was awesome!! This place is also a skate shop and a video game shop. They buy and sell new and used consoles and games. Couldn't believe I saw a dreamcast console and even the first Nintendo system there for sell. The pricing seems pretty good. And in the end I was happy with the service and the people that work there. Will come back if I have any other issues or just want to buy a game. read more

I've been shopping here for years, and the staff is always nice, friendly, and usually well informed on game. They have never suggested a game that I did not enjoy! Recently I had my PS4 fixed with them, and it was same day service. And anytime I need a my games cleaned or scratches removed, this is the place to go! I'm not a big skater, however they do have a lot if skating stuff their, and tons of other stuff such as gaming cards (i.e. Pokémon, Magic, YuGiOh, etc.) computers, TV's, and other cool stuffs! I'd recommend staying away from the other Gameking on across town as that one is owned by other people. That being said, this is my favorite game store, and I would highly recommend this one to anyone! read more

A friend introduced to Game King in 2004 and I love this place. I don't get to come here often, maybe once every 2months since I live 3 hours away. But when we make it up to Lawton Game King on Gore is a must stop. Their retro gaming section is fantastic. I've always had great customer service and at the same time allowed to browse without being bothered. Wish we had one in Abilene, TX. read more
