There really are no words to describe how ridiculous this company is. For instance, I have had service for a year and my cost went UP. Apparently it will go up again next year.. what kind of company raises their prices for having an account. I was informed the initial rate was for New Customer's only. This is the second time in a month that the cable box has gone bad, the first time we waited for 5 days for a new one, now Im told that it will be 5 days again. The person at the call in service, I won't call him a technician because his entire trouble shooting technique was to unplug the cable box and plug it back in, then schedule a technician for 5 days later, we tried to call the local office but it has a recording that the the office is closed due to COVID-19, well the technician comes out of the local area so why can't I talk to them on the phone, this company is taking advantage of the current crisis by closing offices and savings money, the heck with the customer, this company SUCKS, if you have another option stay away from this company read more

This is by far the worst company I've ever had internet with. First off, the internet goes out all the time. Second, my husband and I had it shut off at literally 5pm in the afternoon.. we wondered why so we checked our account because we have autopay. Well the payment never got taken out and we have the money for it in our account..... so now we are sitting here with no internet... mind you we solely stream everything freaking watch. I've been a Fidelity customer for going on 13 months. They have been providing horrible service for the past month to six weeks. I don't know why, but we don't use Internet for just entertainment. If we had another choice, we would switch service. However, their service has not always been bad. Even during the worst weather over the last year, we never had more than a temporary outage. Our service has remained consistently as fast as it should be. I'm sure that whatever their current problem is, they will resolve it in time. Maybe the time it took to resolve it would be shorter if there was competition in the area. I cannot speak about their cable service. I only have Internet. read more

The 1st year I had them it was great, but since then it just gets worse & worse and apparently there's always an upgrade going on in your area that's why the service keeps cutting off. My service is out more than it is on and I'm not just talking for minutes at a time I mean it goes out for hours at a time! Yesterday my husband calls and they don't see anything scheduled or pending so we make a payment over the phone and they debit it almost 400 dollars, and turn around and take the scheduled payment they said I didn't schedule today 12:00 am Friday. Two years later ... After we were given an ARRIS wireless router, I disconnected service with intentions on moving, then changed my mind. Once I reconnected, I was told I had an old router and they now have updated routers that would get me faster service along with the purchase of the 75mbps speed. Well, we should have declined the new equipment as well as the upgrade, because now we are experiencing the same issues as before. I contacted the Lawton branch and spoke with a female "customer service representative" (I use that term extremely loosely) as she told me there was nothing in the notes of my account saying we've ever had wireless connectivity. I told her there had to be some error because we were given the router and wireless device at no charge because of the weeks we spent contacting this company and being given the runaround while we lived on the West side of Lawton. She said there's nothing we can do about it but purchase the wireless in addition to what we have now. I asked to speak to her Supervisor as well as getting her name and employee ID#. Of course she said she was not required to give me anything but her name. Get this ... Mike, the same "Supervisor" who spoke with me over two years ago came on the line and I reminded him of our conversation and the Yelp! review I left in the past. He said he didn't remember that and that we may have received unregistered wifi because in the past they were unable to control the box. read more

Be careful if you ever leave Fidelity, even after fulfilling any contract, as I had. Take pictures of everything you take back to them. I cancelled them when I moved out of town, I returned every bit of equipment to them and the lady in the office even checked it. 6 months later, I start getting calls from them saying I hadn't returned a coax cable so they charged me for the whole set-up. My internet has been painfully slow and I've even called a tech and complained about it and he said everything was fine but its been so bad I did a speed test finally and it started around 0.27 megs and went down to 0.17 megs. I'm paying for 1.5 so I wonder how long my signal has been awful? It really has been terrible since I got it but I just assumed thats just how it was. read more

Our cable channels go off air during our show times, our Internet goes down frequently, can't record more than two channels at the same time and if recording more than one channel you can't record a second one without watching it. Never do business with this company. The following is a log of all the Internet issues I had with them when I lived in Lawton, Oklahoma (payed for 10 Mbps, often was getting 2 or less (and yes, I know the difference between Mbps and MBps). Tests were run on multiple devices, with both a direct connection and a connection run through my own router. September 27th, 2011, Monday - Technician came by Called a few days later, another technician came by. Called Friday, was told service ticket was still open and they would send someone out. Was never contacted again. Called Saturday Morning (October 9th), was told a technician should be by Tuesday. No one came by. Called Tuesday, was told a technician would come by Tuesday night or Wednesday. Technician came by Wednesday to tell me that they have been having widespread problems in this area and that they were working on it. Message on myfidnet.com saying maintenance was being done on the 19th, and to call if there are any issues after that. Called night of the 22nd, was told situation was being made "high priority" and that a technician should be by Saturday or Monday at the latest. Was never contacted again. Called the night of the 25th, was told I would be contacted the 26th. Called 3pm on the 26th, was told I would be called back. Was not called back. Called at 5pm, was told someone should be out there by 6pm. No one came by, I called again, and the representative left a couple of messages for the dispatcher, but the dispatcher didn't return his calls. He called me back at 6:45pm to tell me that someone should be out Wednesday morning. Was never contacted again. Had issues during Wednesday night with Internet. Did test at 12:42am Thursday, and got 9mbps, the highest we've ever gotten. Will see if it goes down again. 7:02 PM, Thursday - 1.5mbps Problems Friday evening, as well. Still never contacted again. October 30th, 3:41 PM - 1.5mbps Called October 30th, was told that the service call was canceled via phone, which never happened. Rep had me do test, which was around 1.5mbps. He had me do another test a couple of minutes afterward, which was around 2.5mbps. He had me do another one immediately afterward, and it was around 4.5 mbps. Was told someone would be out November 1st for sure. November 1st - Did test at fidelitylawton.com, download was 9735kbps. Was 9717kbps via router. November 2nd test at 2:15 PM at fidelitylawton.com, Internet was good (over 9mbps) Was never contacted again. Did test at fidelitylawton.com at 5:30pm, download speed was 2.5mbps Called and was told I would be called back. Was never contacted again. Did test at 10:45pm on November 13th. Speed was 1.7mbps Various problems throughout. Did test on November 24th at fidelitylawton.com. Download was 1160kpbs. Went into local office with a printed copy of this log on November 24th. Was told I would be given a refund and have a person come out on Friday, the 26th. Called at 9am on Friday, November 26th. Technician John came out. Spent about three hours trying to fix the issue but wasn't able to. Problem unknown, though it may be resolved in a few weeks when they go back to one-to-one connections. Will not call anymore until January. Refund was given. April 15th, 2011 - Still issues with Internet. Stopped calling as I am moving. read more

Agree with the negative stars comment several others have made. They are terrible; their service (internet, cable and customer service) are all awful. Shotty reception, lies about repairs, upgrades, etc. Since having them, I have not had ONE DAY with consistent reception (and it has been over a year). They claim to credit me (due to bad service) then they never take the money off the bill and threaten to cancel. And, in the midst of it all, they call again wanting me to "up" my service and give them more money. They know there are FEW to no options for many people in Lawton and they take advantage. They make out a ticket for a repair person to come by, then it's dropped. Never a clue where the supposed ticket ended up. We have recently switched from Dish to Fidelity for our television. Had already had them for internet for about 4 years. At our old house, we'd occasionally lose internet when it rained. I love it at the new house. Love the Fido and Fetch options. I've found the tech support to be helpful. The installers were great and made sure everything - including the Fetch service on my mobile devices - worked before they left. It is cheaper which is good; gave up some low-end commercial movie channels in return. I have every expectation that it will work in bad weather, unlike satellite. 4 stars is only due to losing internet at the old house occasionally. read more

I will give them the fact that they have very low prices however it's not worth it. They take forever to come install their service. They told me they would come by one day to install but because it was nearing when they get off work, they didn't bother to knock on the door or give me a call. Just left a note saying they came and we have to rebook. Second time they came out, they went past their appoint time by 1 hour. Very frustrating. Very high fees as well. I would recommend Verizon wireless. Pricier but so much more reliable. read more

I have had internet through Fidelity for over a month.... and I have not gone a single day without some kind of problem. I am paying for 16mbps, but usually only pull around 5-8. I have had techs come out on multiple occasions to fix this problem. Each time the tech found and "corrected" a different problem. It has gotten so bad that their tech support department doesn't even know what is causing my problem. They are the only horse in a one horse town and they know it. Whoever runs this outfit probably has a special place in Hell reserved just for them. I would warn anyone to avoid this company like the plague, but in Lawton there is no other option. It's just too bad you can't complain to the FCC about companies like this because of the very loose oversight over broadband providers. read more

When I first had the service installed it was running super fast, but over the last couple months, the internet service has gone out repeatedly, and it's very very slow. I'm supposed to get over 1.5 MB/s download, but most days we may only get a fraction of that speed (500 KB/s or less). Fidelity Communications is the only provider for my area and it shows in their complete lack of action on this issue. I would change providers if it was possible. Sometimes, I have to switch my iPad to 4G AT&T Data just so my kid can watch a television show on youtube without buffering. Don't use this provider if you have a choice. read more

I don't even have words to describe how bad this service is. Let me say this. I have filed a BBB, FTC, and AG complaint over it. I pay for 5MB, get less than 2MB 90% of the time. They send people out over and over and find nothing. Today they decided it was my router and I needed to buy theirs (see previous review for similar line). Techs are rude. Service toggles up when they are here or I have recently talked to them. They take advantage of people by being the only provider in the areas they serve, so the rates for outdated DSL is way more than you would pay for comparable services from, say, AT&T or Charter. Today did it for me. I am almost to the point I will sell my house and move back to civilization to get away from them. When I ordered service I asked if 5MB is enough for 2 people to watch tv online. Oh sure, sure. Hockey pucks! Because you rarely see 5MB. And if you tell them the equipment works fine off their system they say they don't believe you! It disappoints me companies think they can take advantage of people like this. And they know I am on a limited income because I get lifeline services for the phone that rarely works. First it was never ringing in my house, then it was ringing to other people's houses, or a guy could be heard in the background and he could hear me (not great for those confidential calls), now people get a disconnected message. How are people supposed to live like this??? I worked part- time from home, but had to give that up living here bc of the piss poor internet. Oh and it is so professional for techs to come to my home and not only disrespect me, but have personal conversations while I can hear them. I hear they have trouble getting days off., but that is Richard's fault. Lord. About as professional as asking me they can do to make me happy and not having a clue as to what that would be. I wish there was another cable option in our area. So unless we want to deal with satellite we are stuck. This is the worst cable company I have ever dealt with anywhere in the US. They seem not to care about customer retention, there are not specials for existing customers and without this their prices have gotten ridiculous, and the service is mostly horrible. I have been trying to get my bill settled for almost two months. They were supposed to scale back services, they did not. I finally got what I thought was satisfaction but it was a run around. The person I dealt with I have now called 7 times over the course of two weeks. She is either, away from her desk, at lunch or off the day I called. Not a single message has been returned, nobody has a direct extension for her so wait times are insane. If you are lucky enough to have another cable option run, don't walk to them. My grandma's Rotary phone in the 80's had a more stable internet connection. Videos rarely stop to buffer, because that would imply they start. Fidelity's internet makes me yearn for the days of dialup. You will learn patience and an iron-willed resolve waiting for pages to load. Every single night I lose connection completely. I do not know the reason, but EVERY night I spend a period of time unable to connect to the Internet. It's ridiculous. The speeds I get are already slower than they should be, but I usually get interrupted service for no specified reason at all during the evenings. It's just after 11:00 P.M. Central time currently, I'm watching a movie and suddenly it has to buffer (and hasn't resumed in nearly 20 minutes). DO NOT get this garbage provider. read more

Overall, Fidelity delivers a great Cable TV and Internet service, delivering the speed they advertise even during peak hours. I have nothing bad to say about the service itself. However, their billing department is slimy. When we paid one of our bills over the phone with a debit card, Fidelity could not get payment from our bank using (correct) information. Rather than notify us of the problem so that we could resolve it, they didn't notify us until 3 days after the grace period. The next month, we were blindsided with a $25 reconnect fee for the previous month's bill. read more
