After a long week of work and kids, sinking into a comfortable couch with my wife and a glass of wine felt perfect. The staff here is incredibly knowledgeable -- the kind of people who can explain the vineyards, the blends, and the story behind the wine without ever overwhelming you. For a nerd like me, that's a huge win. You can tell they know their craft and they genuinely enjoy sharing it. The wines themselves were excellent. Fidelitas leans heavily into those bold, Bordeaux-style reds, and every pour had depth and personality. If you're a red wine person, this place is basically a playground. Now the snacks... WOW. If you go, order the maple pecan dates. Just trust me. They're decadent, warm, chewy, sweet, nutty -- honestly better than pecan pie. One of those bites where you stop talking mid-sentence because your brain needs a second to process how good it is. The other small bites were great too, but the dates are the star. Super cute place! It was not crowded at all and service was great! We were the only ones there so it was fast and we did a tasting! The wine pourer (what I'm going to call her) was this sweet girl, but did not have much to share about the wines besides what was already written on the info card. Wish there was more shared as we were trying to do a full experience, but will definitely be back just for the views and gorgeous vineyard they had! One of our favorite wineries in the area! They have such a beautiful property with the best patio we have found in the area that overlooks the vineyard! Nice sun umbrellas and also dog friendly! Their wine is exceptional as well! We love their wine for their bolder style reds (Malbec, Petit Verdot, Optu Red, Cabs) and the white wines are crisp and dry. Couldn't ask for better! I've tasted here twice now and will keep coming back. The tasting room has a lovely view out over the fields at Red Mountain. This year, it was snowy and cold outside, but even still, the view was so nice we almost sat outside by the fire. Our somm was good--helpful and available but not overbearing. From this year's tasting, there wasn't a single bottle we didn't want to buy. In fact, we nearly joined the wine club. We ultimately decided to wait till the pandemic quiets down and the Woodinville tasting room will be more accessible for us, but the quality of the wines is definitely where we'd feel comfortable buying four times per year. Both this year and last, the wine we liked the best was the merlot, but again, all of the wines were delightful to drink. I think this would be a great winery to share with someone who is new to wine. read more

Very informative and went out of his way to tell us about the vineyard and wines and process. I will have to say I first tried their wines 20 years ago and loved them then I still like the wines but I think I may have played it up in my head more than I should of. Fidelitas in Red Mountain is worth a stop! We stopped in at Fidelitas based on a recommendation. The grounds are beautiful - very modern, with glass, metal and wood. Red Mountain is wine country between Yakima and Walla Walla. It is a warm dry climate, making it ideal for reds. We each did a flight of the same wines. I really enjoyed their Optu a red blend that has a cabernet sauvignon base. Their Merlot and Malbec were also enjoyable. The girl who conducted our tasting was very knowledgeable about the family, vineyard, and wines. The tasting room is open and airy. Their wine club is reasonably priced. I also like that it is only 2 shipments per year and you have an opportunity to choose what is shipped. We bought some additional bottles and they agreed to ship them along with our first shipment in October. We also took 1 bottle to go. So, if you are in the area, make a stop here. read more

This tasting room is in the Red Mountain area. It is a great space in a great spot with great wines to taste. Don't miss it! The building has the huge garage doors that open out into the Red Mountains and fields of grapes. Very cool. There is one wall that is all bottles of wine, pretty cool. The wines are some of the best. They are probably the best overall we have found. Some great folks pouring here. We joined their club and had some technical difficulties with getting our first shipment. After some phone calls - all is good! The next time we visited Jessica knew who we were and we all sat around talking & tasting. We went buy yesterday (Tue late afternoon) and discovered that they are only open by appointment during the week. Bummer! We are not the call and make an appointment type. This is my only knock on the establishment. Go here for the view and the space alone. You will not regret it! read more

Oh, how we do love Fidelitas Red Mountain! One of the first tasting rooms we hit when we arrived in Tri-Cities, and we are hooked. The tasting room is large and spacious, with plenty of seating and the most amazing views of vineyards from their fabulous patio (the doors roll-up to the outside, very modern design). They have a fire-pit feature as well...can't wait to sit on the patio and enjoy some wine this Summer. The Staff is wonderfully knowledgeable about all of the Fidelitas wines, as well as with all of Washington wine country. It was so enjoyable to learn from them. We became wine club members here right away, and we just attended the Feast of St. Fidelis annual wine club party. It was such a great time! The tacos were dynamite, and the wine was flowing. The new releases are amazing...so glad we could pick up our wine shipment right at the location. On top of the included 2008 Champoux Vineyard Merlot and 2008 Champoux Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, we splurged and bought the 2008 Ciel du Cheval Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, which was too exceptional to pass up. We enjoyed talking to all of the Staff, and loved that we saw the winemakers mingling with everyone and discussing the releases I highly recommend this winery! read more

Another fun and beautiful tasting room in Benton City. We had the opportunity to taste something like 8 wines for free which was pretty cool, but felt a little overwhelming by the end. I love to talk about wine and where the grapes were grown, the methods, etc, and unfortunately our pourer didn't seem too knowledgable on the subject. She actually was really distracted that she couldn't find her glasses. The wine was pretty good, definitely in the same class as Kiona and Hedges. Most of the wines are priced too high for my taste. Looking at the list I felt like the wines were priced closer to Napa prices, not Washington prices. Fidelitas does however make two Jaguar wines whose proceeds go to a highschool prep scholarship, which we thought was cool, and they were 2 of the better wines at the best prices. read more

After several days of venue food at the Gorge Amphitheater, my friend and I were excited to venture through Washington Wine Country on our way home to Oregon. While the Willamette Valley is well known for its Pinot Noir, we were in search of BIG REDS, and good food! Casey at Airfield Winery (Prosser, WA), noting our lackluster review of their reds, suggested we backtrack to Fidélitas (Red Mountain), and use them as our benchmark. Note: My current benchmark is the 2006 Cliff Lede Vineyards "Poetry" Cabernet Sauvignon (Stags Leap District); 2006 Stags' Leap or 2005 Jordan (Alexander Valley, CA). Up a little winding road at the Benton City exit off I-82, you will find an unassuming tasting room the owner calls a "shack-teau" in the midst of their first estate vineyard planted May of 2009. Indeed delicious at every price point, from the 2006 Jaguar Red at $20//bottle to the 2005 Walla Walla Cab (about $40). I walked away with the 2006 Columbia Valley Malbec, intense black fruit flavor with the long finish of pepper and spice. Yummy! Long on the mmm's! Casey said, "Anything that Charlie Hoppes, owner and winemaker, touches is ...[he trailed off]. I think he was implying "gold." Charlie is an authentic alchemist. Fidélitas is true to its name, "faithful." The best in Washington without a doubt! At Fidélitas, we were also led to a surprising, small family-run treat, Wineglass Cellars (Zillah, WA), and Ron ensured we landed for the night at Birchfield Manor Country Inn (Yakima, WA) for a gourmet dinner and comfy farmhouse room. Charlie is an outstanding wine maker - the view is outstanding. I was excited to find out that I could join the wine club without having to have the wine shipped. Urban Enoteca in South Seattle receives shipments and does tastings for Fidelitas. The reds are rich and full-bodied. The price-point is a bit high but not for the quality. read more

She usually seems in a rush even though I've always been a part of the only group in the whole place. We also accidentally forgot to tell her just one tasting for the two of us so she poured just the first wine in two glasses and then we notified her (I don't think she even asked in the first place, if I recall?). She made it kind of awkward and cheap to not just let us finish the one and go back to one tasting. She set it behind the counter... Likely for herself later.
