One or the other of my children has attended the Eugene Waldorf School for just over nine years…read morenow. My children have always been treated as whole people, humans with hopes and dreams and ideas at EWS. The Eugene Waldorf School is chock full of visual arts, music, handwork and woodwork, fantastic writing instruction, Spanish language learning, theater productions each class year, plenty of outdoor play, and science, math, and social studies blocks that meet children where they are. For instance, literature is taught through fairy tales in first grade and world literature in eighth grade. As seventh and eighth graders independently explore more of the world around them, their curriculum mirrors that discovery as students study the Renaissance and voyages of discovery. At the Eugene Waldorf School, regular festivals and celebrations such as the Winter Light Fair and May Fair mark the seasons, and older students become invested in and volunteer to help with events to help create the same magical festivals that they remember from their younger years. My kids love the Eugene Waldorf School, and my older child, now a junior in public high school, has carried that love of learning gained at EWS into a successful high school experience.

Having complicated family dynamics, children with significant individual issues and needs, several that are academically gifted and everything in between, I can honestly, and without reservation or exaggeration, say the Big Little School has been a crucial and integral part of the 'village' it takes to raise healthy children. Lee Bramwell has a deep understanding of child development. early identification of issues and effective strategies of intervention. Lee has a broad vision of services in the Lane County area, and works tirelessly to meet the needs of every child as well as educate and support their family. Over the years it never ceases to amaze me how EVERY staff member is a highly skilled, focused and committed professional that contributes wholeheartedly to create an ideal preschool environment for every child.

It is somewhat surprising there is no review on this pathetic excuse for a school !…read more This Christian based school is far from Christian... The building had popcorn ceiling that had leaked and nasty moldy old carpets. The restrooms smelled badly like urine. The administrator Ms Lisa shows strong discrimination towards boys, and favored girls - especially her own grand daughter. Boys always at fault, girls treated as angels. The methods of allowing kids to stay hydrated were primitive - put all kids drinking bottles together in one big old tub of ice water.. so germs can mingle between them. When I attempted to ask her questions - she actually ignored me and put her hand up in my face... I was not liked nor respected as a father, and this became much worse after she made an out of the blue remark that - 'I am a mandatory reporter - to Child protective services, and have just spoken to them - when renewing my certification...' I was unimpressed and a bit confused by this pointed remark... Later after an incident involving one of her prior clients - whom I had called the police about inappropriate behavior towards my child - I figured out exactly what she meant.... It was a threat to me. For retaliation she did in fact take a bogus statement from my 5 yr old - and then turned me into CPS for child abuse. That is how she does business. She did her best to alienate and attack me at each and every turn, and collude with my ex-wife and her crazy violent babysitter.. If this is true Christian behavior - then I must be Jesus sent here to test my soul. My ex is in no way Christian nor attends any church - my son now has no belief in God -thanks to this past experience. This is one disgusting pathetic excuse to represent Jesus or God... No this about making money and using God to draw clients to pay her wages. Personally I feel that anyone whom uses God for their own agenda - is a fraud and purely evil . My description proves this . My experiences were a couple yrs ago, and just now found this site - to share valid info. Although it is possible that Ms Lisa has 'passed on', the building has been completely refurbished, and new staff loves all children..... Doubt that ! Thank you for reading
