I guess I must have got her on a bad day because customer service was non existent. Apparently they are allowed to be late and you are NOT allowed to be bothered by it. Their jobs are more important than any one elses and apologies are only deserved by them. They are definitely not offered by them. They were supposed to be here at 9 so I scheduled my work day and conference calls around it. At 9:08 I got a call saying that they had to pick up a part for my job and would be here in about 30 minutes. I replied with "ok, I have a conference call and will try and hear the door. I then get a call back from the OWNER who said "I hear you won't be letting us in" to which I replied that I did not say that. What I said was that I was going to be on a work call and had scheduled my call schedule to let them in at 9, the time of my scheduled appointment. She proceeds to insist on making a point that I had a problem with them being late so I should find someone else and hung up on me. I called her back and she said "you have a problem with us being late" and I specifically started my own business so I don't have to deal with rude people like you. (by the way - in my job, if I am going to be late for a client meeting, I let them know prior to the appointment ,not ten minutes after they were supposed to be here). She told me I was not her customer and that I can find someone else to do the job and hung up?! My husband called to try and resolve it as did the company from whom I purchased the sofa. I even texted and apologized for any part I played in the conversation. She told the sofa company that she wouldn't come to my house and would only work on the sofa if it was picked up and taken somewhere else so she didn't have to see me. Really? All over a miscommuncation for which I am happy to accept my part in... Maybe I am old school but was raised that the customer is always right. Maybe their work is good...I will never know. But what I do know is this - if they are late, don't expect an apology and don't think you can even mention it because she obviously thinks she is allowed to speak to people any way she wants and if you speak up, you are disrespectful (them being late however, is NOT disrespectful). read more
