I have patronized this welding shop twice now, and both times I have been extremely pleased with…read moretheir service but most of all their professional work. The first project I had them do was to repair severe damage to an old Schwinn Stingray bicycle frame. Previously I had brought it to one other welding shop in town (the one on Story Mill and Bridger Canyon) and they said they couldn't do much at all to repair it. However, one of the fellows at Midwest took a single look at it and said, "yep, no problem. We will have it done tomorrow." When I got it back, it looked like brand new. The most recent project I gave them was the mounting of a custom fiberglass motorcycle seat onto an old Honda motorcycle. The previous owner who had the seat made for the bike had removed several key parts from the frame for the seat to be mounted, and there was no hardware on the seat itself to be attached to the non-existent mounting points on the frame. To say the least, this was a tricky problem and multiple ways to solve it. When I picked the bike up after they were finished, they had exceeded even my most optimistic expectations. Im not going to get into the details of how they did it, but it was done with careful consideration as to design, safety, style, and the price limit I had set. Hell, they even powder coated the parts they added to match the color of the original frame. This was a truly masterful job they did. Though all this quality work comes at a hansom price tag, but for the product and service it is worth it. I will definitely be returning to them if I need anymore work done.

From the time they called me back everything went very well. We received the proof in a timely manner (which was done 100% as we asked) and the completed, printed project came out even better than we had expected. Definitely 5 star service but I am leaving the full review at a 3 since I'm still not happy with how things started out. Went to see them in person to see if they could complete a simple project we had. They said they could absolutely do it if we sent them the files. Sent the files via email (specifically to Jeff) on October 23rd. Still hadn't heard from them on 11/5 so I called and was told that Jeff was busy and to send the files to another rep (Mary). After 3 days we still hadn't heard so I went and paid them a visit with a USB drive for the files. The receptionist (who was very kind) downloaded the files and said she would get them to a rep (they were all in a meeting of course). After 3 more days I still hadn't heard from them so I called in and the receptionist stated she would follow up with Jeff. To this day (11/17) I still haven't heard back from them. As for their quality of work, I couldn't tell you. Never made it that far. Just sat and spun my wheels and wasted my time for nothing. I will never do business with a company who treats customers this way. Not even a call or email that they can't do the project or that they're busy and please be patient. The company used to be good 20+ years ago when I worked with them but now I would recommend finding anyone else who actually VALUES your business.

Gallatin Restoration made an extremely stressful situation so much better for me! I highly…read morerecommend them for all of your restoration needs. I live on the top floor of a condominium building. When water started leaking into condo through my ceiling, my HOA was anything but helpful. I tried calling other restoration companies over the weekend as water continued to pour into my place. No one would even come look at it for me. But on a Sunday, the Gallatin Restoration guys came and looked at my leak. While they couldn't help me while the water was coming in, they at least made contact with me, then continued to text me to check in. When a large portion of my ceiling finally caved in from all the water, they came that day. By the next day, they had drywall up and then, over the course of the next couple weeks, dried out my walls, got someone in to texturize the ceiling and then painted it. You can't even tell that anything happened! The most important thing to me, though, was that they showed up when they said they would, they communicated everything they did with me throughout the entire process, and they were friendly and professional guys to work with! Like I said at the beginning, they made a terrible situation so much better and gave me my home back. They are AMAZING!

Ali A Worst…read moreexperience EVER! I had a terrible experience with the wedding dress alterations, and to make matters worse, the seamstress was incredibly rude. I had originally requested that fabric be added to the bodice to lighten it up to a whiter color rather than nude. The seamstress and I placed fabric behind to get an idea of the look. In no circumstance did I request for any other look (or for the ribbing to show!), except for trying to lighten the color (which later on I was accused of and told I should have known. This is not my profession!!!!). Never once was I forewarned that ribbing may show or of any negative implications besides it being a bit bulkier with additional fabric added. I explained exactly what I wanted, but when I returned to pick the dress up, it was ruined. Given the extensive experience Annette claims to have, I was extremely appalled that she did not call upon noticing this showing through to see if I was okay with this. WHICH I WAS NOT. The seamstress lacked both professional knowledge and tact. The ribbing was completely visible, causing a striped look that ruined the dress. When I brought it up, the seamstress insisted it was a "me" problem and that it wasn't noticeable. She continued to be defensive and dismissive. I requested time to think and immediately called another seamstress on the way home. All my friends and family said it looked horrible and was completely noticeable. I returned to pick up the dress & once again, the shop owner and her employee were extremely rude, dismissive, and defensive. Upon further review by new seamstress, she pointed out that the alterations were rushed, sloppy, and poorly done-- the hem was uneven, visible puckers where the fabric wasn't sewn or fitted properly, and fabric was left hanging. The stitching was visible and inconsistent, and overall, the quality of the work was just bad. I ended up having to the new seamstress fix the mistake by removing all the fabric sewn in. This was both stressful and frustrating. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for quality alterations, skilled craftsmanship, or a professional, respectful experience. Especially given the egregious prices she charges.
