I went up into the attic to look for frost on my roof decking boards as they suggested.. Sure enough there was a nice thick layer of frost. Which meant I needed some baffles installed to allow air to flow better. I did my research and found this company to be the best in the area. Jerry came out and took a look at was needed. Gave me a no fuss reasonable quote and went on his way. I approved the quote about an hour later. The quote Included pulling current insulation away from soffits and edge drip side vents, installing baffles in all rafters in the attic. Push insulation back. Then lay a nice fresh new coat of cellulose insulation. The team arrived as scheduled, they laid down protective cloth before starting any work on my home and started working. The lead tech took photos of each phase to show me the work being done. at each step. The team was super friendly, and very efficient. Now I'm no insulation expert. But from what I could tell, they did a great job. They cleaned up both inside and outside of my house very well. The office staff were also super awesome. Melissa had my appointment scheduled very quickly. In addition, she also pre-filled out all the paperwork I needed to get a rebate from consumers energy. I know for me when a company can take any stress off of you and help you with some paperwork. That's a great thing . I would highly recommend this company for your insulation needs. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND using Roof-Rite!! We had Roof-Rite replace our roof in 2018/2019. Before…read morethe replacement, I lived here about 10 years prior, I've never had any interior leaking until AFTER they replaced the roof. We've complained about it to Roof-Rite when we noticed water coming inside (2021). They did send out someone to "check", but they never found anything obvious, yet it was still leaking into the interior. I emailed Roof-Rite in 2022 about this issue the next winter, when it leaked again and explained this, but they basically told me to "go pound sand", because it was "an act of God" and they won't cover any damage. It wasn't until we had an exterminator out to capture a squirrel in our attic about 3 years ago, that the exterminator found a huge hole in the overhang/soffit crevice that butts up directly to the upper roof (house with upper & lower roofs, with multiple conjoined areas). This is where the squirrel was getting in. The exterminator did the best he could to fix it, and it was fine for a few years. Although, it's leaking again in 2026. Keep in mind, we've had extremely mild winters here in 2019 & 2020, along with 2022, 2023 & 2024, until this winter, 2025/2026. So, why was it that the exterminator, back in 2022, found a hole in that area that allowed squirrels to enter the attic space, and also allowed water intrusion? Roof-Rite would've found it, had they done their due diligence. Instead, the deflected, as if it was my fault and that I'm on my own. The common denominator here is Roof-Rite, and the lack of quality work/diagnosis, AFTER they did the work and were paid. Roof-Rite made it clear that they wouldn't do anything.

After my mother received an add in her bill from Consumers Energy, I called in and the utility referred me to a handful of contractors. We set up appointments for when I would be in town visiting, and after talking to a number of contractors, Green Home Energy seemed to be the most friendly and knowledgable with competitive pricing. We met with the owner, Mark, who was extremely professional, kind, and helpful throughout the entire process. He priced out insulation in the attic, spray foam in the basement, and a new furnace. He was also able to finance the entire package through the Michigan Saves program, and was also able to get us a $1,100 rebate from Consumers Energy! The install crew was friendly, according to my mom, and they left the place spotless. My mother's place has been significantly cooler this summer, and we can't wait for the winter and cold weather to arrive to see the final result!

Ironically, I would describe him as rude and unprofessional rather than "magic." We had a scheduled appointment for our roof installation; however, no one contacted us to inform us that the appointment would not be kept. Instead, we were the ones who had to call on the scheduled day after taking time off work and waiting at home, expecting the installation to begin. When we reached "Majic Mike," he was extremely rude and dismissive. He stated, and I quote, "There were 36 people scheduled. I didn't have time to call." He then told us that the missed appointment was essentially not his problem and that he did not care whether we rescheduled in one day, one week, or one month because he was "a busy man" regardless of our business. I was so disappointed by his lack of professionalism and customer service that I ended the call. I then contacted our salesperson, Keith Wysocki, who was very apologetic and immediately worked to address the situation. The Customer Service Supervisor also called me back to apologize and help resolve the issue. It is solely because of the professionalism, responsiveness, and genuine concern shown by Keith and the Customer Service Supervisor that we chose not to cancel our project. They restored our confidence and demonstrated the level of customer service we had expected from the beginning. While our experience with "Majic Mike" was extremely negative, these two individuals ultimately saved our business relationship with the company.

We signed our contract in July 2025, and what followed was nearly a YEAR of delays, mistakes, and terrible communication. We dealt with broken window sills, incorrect measurements, Marble-Lite being installed when we ordered real marble, real marble arriving broken TWICE, and multiple attempts just to get the correct bathroom window. Our project was not properly completed until nearly a year after signing. Throughout the entire process, we constantly had to chase Majic for answers and updates. After the project was finally completed, management told me they would address compensation for everything we went through. I have followed up multiple times since and have received no resolution and now not even the courtesy of a response. Completing the project nearly a year later does not erase what it took to get there. The lack of accountability, communication, and follow-through is unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and look literally ANYWHERE else. After our experience, I cannot imagine knowingly choosing to do business with Majic Windows. My family deeply regrets choosing them, and I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.
