I've read reviews at other salons where people say that their eyes burned a little but I had none of that. She was very detailed and gentle. I also had my lashes tinted. I normally use an eyelash curler every day because my lashes just don't have any curl. And now they look fantastic even without mascara. I highly recommend them.

April assured me that all of my remaining appointments for 2026 were in the "book". Today, I arrived for my normal appointment and was advised that Ina was on vacation and that neither Ina nor anyone else had bothered to either call me or re-schedule me with another stylist. Also, the receptionist was completely useless. instead of trying to solve the problem by seeing if another stylist was available, or scheduling me for another time, she just kept babbling "its not my fault". I think this is pretty shabby treatment after 6 years as an every two week customer. I'm shopping for a new salon and will never return to Scissors Edge. I would think that Shelly, the owner would offer a comment, but total radio silence.

When I first started visiting a medi-spa, I was skeptical of how effective any of the treatments would be. I have to say, I am a complete convert now, and receive regular unsolicited comments on my skin. Peggi is very patient with all of my questions about what treatment she is going to do, how will it effect my skin, will there be any extra sensitivity, and I have never felt pressured to do any treatment I was not totally ready to try. She has a very soothing & gently method which I really appreciate, but she also is very adept at dealing with difficult blemishes without a lot of pain (something that I have struggled with at other spas). The difference in my skin over the last several years is really amazing. I feel like I'm really doing everthing I can to take care of my skin with Dr. Franzia & Peggi's help. I really like that Dr. Franzia puts so much effort into having the most up to date tools available...and does a really nice job of providing opportunities for her clients to learn more about the different treatment options available. Periodically, she will host an open house type of evening so you can see how different treatments are done, meet representatives of different product lines, ask questions, and as kind of a bonus...meet other clients. She offers a great discount on products & services at the parties too, which is a great incentive to try new things.

I quickly learned how to hide myself on zoom from myself so that I didn't see my sad looking eyelashes, crazy overgrown eyebrows and hair roots (although I'll save the hair root issue for another review). When I heard that Celebrity Skin was then closing their doors for good I feared my days of beautiful lashes with Kim was over. Soon after I received a good news text from Kim that she was opening her own studio in Northfield, which was even closer to my house. Hooray! I'll admit it took me some time to get comfortable with going back to Kim since someone touching your eyes during a pandemic can be a little scary. But once I went and saw that Kim was taking all necessary safety precautions I felt much safer. And was happy to have beautiful lashes and brows once again! Kim is great at listening to her clients. I'm constantly telling her I want to go as natural as possible since you can't go for too dramatic eyes during a pandemic. She's also super fast and the time goes even faster in her chair since she's fun to chat with. Back in the Celebrity Skin days I used to book at least 6 weeks ahead of time since she was so busy between lashes, waxing, tanning and more. Now that she has her own place she's a bit more flexible and I"m usually able to get the time slots i need around a busy work schedule and playing cheuffer to my children. And she's very understanding when I ask to reschedule appointments...again and again. I highly recommend Kim if you have any needs when it comes to waxing or making your eyelashes pop (extensions, dye, etc). So glad to see her new biz thriving during these crazy times!

I had a…read moreslight panic attack when Celebrity Skin closed their doors (thanks Covid), but fortunately Kim opened up her own studio in Northfield- even a few minutes closer to me! So with the exception of covid when my eyelashes and eyebrows looked pretty scary I've seen Kim every 3 weeks for about the last decade. She's amazing at her job and I love that she makes eyelashes look super natural vs some other places I've seen. When she was out sick years ago I got an eyelash fill elsewhere and it was such a disaster that I vowed I'll never stray from Kim again. Months ago my eyelashes were having issues sticking and Kim even took the time to go thru all the products I was using to make sure nothing had oil in them- months later we seem to be back on track! Kim is also speedy; I"m always in and out within an hour. Her pricing is fair and for someone who spends ALL day on video calls I really love having lashes and feel "naked" when I don't have them. She's in high demand so I do always makes sure I book 3 weeks ahead of time, but she goes out of her way to always squeeze me in at a time that works well around my busy job and mom life.

I've done the fake lash extensions for years now and they just don't do it for me anymore. I also don't want to look like Mr. Snuffleupagus when I'm trying to look cute. If I do get falsies I'm lucky if they last a week. I've also done magnetic lashes too but those don't stay on well resulting in the corners being undone. I wanted my lashes to look as natural as possible with some curl to it. My lashes naturally lie flat and even with mascara, they don't appear to stand out. Lash perms can give your own lashes the extra curl needed. Most of all the perms last for at least a month! Odette was sweet, calm and patient with me given this was my first time doing this. She explained the process and checked in with me often since the perm solution they put on can cause mild stinging. I felt that but it didn't cause serious discomfort. In the days ahead, my eyes did crust up but what I was left with were a beautiful set of lashes that were of my own, just a bit enhanced to give you that va-va-va voom oomph to your look. If paired with eyelash primer and a coat of mascara, they stand out guaranteeing you won't get that Snuffleupagus aesthetic. I would definitely recommend lash perms for a special occasion/vacation. My session lasted an hour allowing for relaxation. In fact, I took a 20-minute nap while on the table! Parking is a breeze with Posh Beauty situated in a large strip mall with adequate free parking.
