From Botox and fillers to chemical peels and lasers, I've tried nearly everything they offer--and every single treatment has been top-notch. The results are consistently natural and effective, and I always feel like I'm in expert hands. What sets this place apart is not just the quality of the treatments but also the care and honesty of the staff. They never oversell, always listen, and genuinely want you to look and feel your best. This is a warm and welcoming spa environment. The office staff are great, and Dr Franzia knows what she's doing. This was my second visit and I'll just keep coming back. The vibe is chill but professional. Not sure I have a single negative thing to say. I was running late so was a little put out by having to take an elevator, but the inside of the elevator is so cutely decorated, it immediately cheered me up. read more

Dr. Roma is awesome. She is a talented physician who also has great knowledge and skill on how to improve your look and help gentle the aging process! Went in for botox for frown lines. Paid $266 for 20 units. This is the average number of units for that small area.* Didn't work so went back and paid another $266 for 20 more units. Did not work. There was some barely perceptible softening of the dynamic lines but certainly not what it should be (I've had this done 3 times before). I sent an email to the business (she's a pediatrician strangely enough) about my dissatisfaction. I have not received any response. I paid almost $600 for nothing. Sometimes botox is diluted incorrectly or there can be a bad batch. It is unprofessional to not respond to a client. *This is from an expert on RealSelf "Usually my upper limits of Botox in a woman has been 25 to 35 units for just the glabella (5 to 7 insertion sites) between the eyebrows." read more

I would never go anywhere else. Dr Franzia, and her entire staff is patient, professional, and caring. I have always been thrilled with the results! I've been a client of Face Forward for several years...and am very pleased with the services, and results I see in my skin. The atmoshpere is unlike any other spa I have visited and is absolutely beautiful...serene, elegant, unique & extremely well done. When I first started visiting a medi-spa, I was skeptical of how effective any of the treatments would be. I have to say, I am a complete convert now, and receive regular unsolicited comments on my skin. Peggi is very patient with all of my questions about what treatment she is going to do, how will it effect my skin, will there be any extra sensitivity, and I have never felt pressured to do any treatment I was not totally ready to try. She has a very soothing & gently method which I really appreciate, but she also is very adept at dealing with difficult blemishes without a lot of pain (something that I have struggled with at other spas). The difference in my skin over the last several years is really amazing. I feel like I'm really doing everthing I can to take care of my skin with Dr. Franzia & Peggi's help. I really like that Dr. Franzia puts so much effort into having the most up to date tools available...and does a really nice job of providing opportunities for her clients to learn more about the different treatment options available. Periodically, she will host an open house type of evening so you can see how different treatments are done, meet representatives of different product lines, ask questions, and as kind of a bonus...meet other clients. She offers a great discount on products & services at the parties too, which is a great incentive to try new things. read more

I have been a client of Face Forward for a few years now. Megan and Peggi helped me figure out the best course of action for removing the dark sun spots on my face. I had two photofacial procedures with Peggi and the difference was amazing! Peggi explained the procedure and the after effects to me very clearly and told me if I had any questions I could contact her anytime or come back in for a follow-up. Within three weeks of each procedure, my skin was noticeably improved. I still have a pre-procedure picture I look at in amazement. Since the initial two procedures, I have done a couple of area follow-ups and been very happy with the results. I live in the city of Chicago where spa services abound... however, Face Forward in Winnetka is my absolute go-to establishment for skin care services. I happened on Face Forward a couple years ago when I was on the North Shore all day with appointments that were spaced out, and was fortunately able to get in for a facial due to a sudden cancellation. I was so happy with the results of my "cocktail" facial with Peggi that would have been much higher priced in the city. Dr. Roma and Peggi are extremely educated and experienced in their fields and provide up-to-date skin care services in personable, kind, capable manners. The office manager, Megan, is darling and efficient and makes all clients feel welcome and comfortable in an already cozy, warm spa setting that is really unique --- warm, not cool. This office absolutely stays up on medical research and skin care trends and opportunities. Peggi reads white papers and has data-backed opinions on facial procedures and products, as does Dr. Roma, who clearly focuses on keeping the spa up-to-date with skin care procedures and technology. She does a fantastic, natural job with skin smoothing procedures. Both of them take time to consult at the beginning of every appointment: check out my skin, discuss my goals and answer questions, and provide their own expert feedback, without rushing. Dr. Roma also has regular skin care "parties" and other promotions that her client base loves and takes advantage of. I know my skin looks better at my age (never mind...) than it did 3 years ago -- my critical teenaged daughters tell me so and they have no problem sharing "constructive criticism" with their mom:) Peggy's teen facials are very reasonably priced by the way. I was hesitant to try a medical spa; wasn't sure if it would be worth it or I should *start* the process. I am so glad I tried this one. Best way I could describe my Botox experience was - subtle, natural looking results. My sister told me I look more awake- and that's really all I wanted. To have bright open eyes, which then resulted in me wearing less makeup. With young kids and busy schedules; that was the boost I was looking for. But that's just one plus, the well rounded info Dr. Roma shared with me about my areas of interest helped me understand how all this works and what would be best for me and my age and my desires to make some improvements to my skin. Dr. Roma always wants you to feel great and feel happy so she gets to know you and what you want. It's truly a personalized experience., not because she's trying to; but because she truly cares. And then there's the beauty of the office/med spa- which is truly a spa getaway. The staff are equally as pleasant friendly and helpful. When you walk into the office building; from the moment you press the elevator button, seasonal vibrational music plays surrounded by the most detailed magical decor I've ever seen in an office space. Think twice before having cosmetic fillers done by Dr. Franzia. Her training is in Pediatrics, not cosmetic procedures. I had a terrible experience with filler she injected around my mouth. She failed to tell me the possible changes in skin tone that can occur with Vobella. After the injection I had large patches of darkened skin on both corners of my mouth. She had told me that this particular product could be removed. When I went back to her to have it removed she had to call her "mentor" and find out how to do remove it. She should know how to remove it if she's putting it in. The process of removing it is to inject a small amount of Hyaluronidase to the affected area. The results were that any and all the filler I had ever put in around my mouth dissolved! The skin on both corners of my lips were drooping and sagging as well as an area beneath my left chin was sagging. I went to a different doctor to try and fix this. In the following months (and several trips to the doctors office)I have spent nearly $4000 to correct this and I still have a small area that sags on each corner of my mouth. Furthermore, Dr Franzia will not reimburse me for the money I have spent to correct the mistakes she made. She did, after a heated discussion, refund the amount I paid for the initial procedure, however I am still out the $4000 for the correction of her mistakes. My advice is to think very carefully about who you will trust with your face. Make sure they have been trained by qualified teachers, best from the filler industry. Just because someone is an MD does not mean they are qualified to inject filler. read more
