I have been seeing a dermatologist every six months for a full body check at Advanced Dermatology in Glencoe for a few years now. It is easy to get an appointment rather quickly while appts with North Shore were up to a year out. The office staff, nurses, PAs and doctors are all very kind, professional and friendly. I just had a second skin cancer removed from my nose by Dr. Dabade using Mohs (2 passes) After only six weeks the scar is barely noticeable. I tried to set up an appointment regardless of a very negative experience with them in the past. They put me on hold for about 30 minutes, just to telll me to go a better doctor, that I will do. Stay away from them , read all the people reviews, that are mixed. But positive one could fake. Just like Dr. Monika Kaniszewska states that she is a proficient in surgery and other important procedures and she is not . They also put a lot of wrong statements in my medical history. After giving up on trying to find a solution for my adult acne I ran across an IG post by Advanced Dermatology. It's been 2 months since my first visit and I'm extremely happy with my progress. Billing practices are outrageous. Final nail in the coffin.. just got an email saying they are now going to charge patients for patient portal messages that require medical personnel to respond... for example medication questions, new symptoms, review of a photo etc. OUTRAGEOUS! I've never even used this system but I've been feeling off as a patient here for awhile and this is my sign to go. All my other providers use patient portal and I've never heard of this. A couple years ago, I inquired about laser hair removal - what laser do you use? What is the standard price range for x body part? They refused to answer any of my generalized questions so I took my cash business elsewhere. They wanted me to pay for a consultation for a question so broad. If you can't even tell me which lasers you house at your office for laser hair removal that's insane. I used to work for a derm and we always answered simple questions and a range/ESTIMATE for procedures upon request. The plastic surgeon I ended up using for laser also had no issue. You will continue to lose patients with these cheapskate practices, it's tacky. read more

I was referred to come here by some coworkers for lip fillers with Dr.Steve and i had a pretty horrible experience. When i had gotten the fillers my bruising and swelling was so bad but i was told it was normal. I then went to another surgeon and was told that he had hit a blood vessel or vein and that wasn't ok and I shouldn't have swelled up that bad. This swelling and bumpy look lasted for about two weeks. I then went back and had the bumps fixed which helped the situation a lot. It has now been about 2 months and it looks like i never even did any type of procedure. My lips look like how they did before i got them done and i was told they would last 6 months to a year! I called to make an appointment for a Fraxel treatment as a new patient. I have had this treatment a few times before at different dermatologists. I was told I have to come in for a "consult" before I can make the appointment, which costs $100 that can be put to the procedure if I have one that costs over $350. So, before spending the $100 consult fee I asked what is the price of Fraxel. I was told I have to come in, pay the $100 just to find out the price of Fraxel! Wow-what a scam. read more

I went here several times over the course of a year. Despite Dr Taub's reputation and fancy office, she and her staff were unable to correctly diagnose and treat my skin issue and instead of resolving my skin issue I was left with scars and unresolved lesions. My skin issue was cosmetic. I have lots of tiny bumps on my face that aren't zits and never grow but never go away. I first saw Dr Schieber for my face issue and a full body mole check. She told me that the bumps on my face were flat warts and proceeded to remove them with cauterizarion and cuterage. In addition to my face she treated some on my hands and feet though for these she injected something. After the skin healed none of the bumps went away on face, hands, or feet. I also was left with two white scars on my chin where she was too aggressive. I went back again but this time saw Dr Taub because Dr Schieber was out on maternity leave. She wasn't convinced that the lesions on my face were at warts so she did a biopsy to send them away to try to identify them. Based on that analysis she thought they were a simple keratosis and I scheduled an appointment to remove those from my face as well as some moles and keratosis on my chest. She again used cauterization for my face but a scalpel for some of the moles. I saw no improvement on my face and half the moles/keratosis removed by Dr Taub were only partially removed so I have oddly shaped mole and keratosis remnants on my chest that someone else will have to fix. It's been a year and the scars on my chin created by Dr Schieber are still visible. Meanwhile my main concern - these mysterious bumps on my face - are still there. Despite giving the office many chances to treat my skin issue, the issue wasn't fixed and I have found a new dermatologist. read more

Their office is a mess. Phones aren't answered during open office hours, calls aren't returned, every person gives you a different answer, whether it's about costs, appointments or procedures. Multiple billing issues, misinformation about after-treatment care, untrained staff. One doctor seems very capable and caring, but the before and after experiences are so unprofessional that I just can't go back. Do not equate a North Shore address and higher prices with better quality of service. (Also, before you walk out the door, they hand you a computer to collect feedback about your doctor. Turns out that info is posted right to a website where you have no ability to edit or delete your comments. My positive impression with the doctor would mislead readers to think I had a positive experience altogether, which is a dishonest portrayal of my opinion. They are clearly more concerned with their online image than their actual interactions with patients.) read more

Disastrous experience here with Dr. Taub and her staff. I was treated here for a series of laser treatments. Dr. Taub set the laser settings but didn't do the actual treatments herself. For that she passed me on to a laser technician. Unfortunately she set the laser settings too high and damaged my skin permanently, but because she didn't do the treatments herself she didn't notice. Luckily the laser technician eventually noticed but not before permanent damage was done. Dr. Taub admitted my face was damaged but claimed further laser treatments would fix the damage done by her too high laser settings. Not true, still damaged despite following her recommendations. Regret ever having trusted her. read more

The worst. I had a Fraxel laser treatment with Dr. Taub 10 years ago for melasma. The treatment she used made it much worse. She didn't know what to do with the damage she caused. She felt bad, but if effect it was like she said 'sorry about your face!' I ended up going to a doctor downtown and having years of expensive treatments to fix her handiwork. Nightmare. read more

The Lincolnshire location is an absolute joke!!! I called them 4 times to try and get information on microneedling and was hung up on every time I asked what micro pen device they use. Here I am trying to call and schedule an appointment and PAY THEM to potentially do a service on me and they can't even have the decency to answer one simple question that I have. I'm beyond appalled that there's places like this up and running that don't know what the meaning of customer service is. They all need to go and take a course on customer service and learn how to run a business. Now I've tried to call 5 separate times and there is NO ANSWER! This is truly a joke!! read more

This company is a complete scam. I have never had such a bad experience at a doctor office before. They had me spend over $100 on two products and when I went to my usual doctor they said they had no real active ingredient, meaning I was just putting lotion on my face that did nothing for me. They take your credit card to put on file to even see the doctor and charge you without s follow up call confirming what the charge is. This place is a complete scam, I would rather wait months to see my usual doctor than follow up at this place no matter how easy it is to make an appointment. If I could give this place negative stars I would, such an such terrible company. I highly reccomend not wasting your time even considering calling for an appointment. read more
