My acne went full throttle as if I was 16 years old again and I desperately wanted to clear it up. I have struggled with adult acne in the past and have been on Accutane, which temporarily cleared up my skin. Accutane, however has a ton of side effects that include extremely dry skin, anxiety, and depression. I felt every one of those side effects for the 6 months that I was on it and did not want to relive that time in my life. I found that Spark Med Spa had great reviews on yelp and I am so glad I tried them out. Lana and Sasha are amazing!!! During my initial appointment I told them every therapy and regimen I had tried for my skin. They listened and carefully examined my face and discussed all my options. I started my first Laser Genesis treatment in April and received them consistently every 2-3 weeks. My skin has cleared up dramatically and I am so happy I don't have to wear an ounce of foundation on my skin to cover up any blemishes ever again! I've attached pictures for the proof. I scheduled a consultation in February, after the Doctor listened to my concerns, she recommended a Halo Laser treatment to promote collagen growth combined with BBL for dark spots spots due to aging. While she made recommendations that would give me the best long term results, she completely respectful of my right to make the decision. I was extremely anxious about a laser treatment because I had a fraxel laser treatment a number of years ago that resulted in scarring that was slow to heal. I was worried about downtime and potential damage. Dr. B told me downtime was 5 days and I am a slow healer so I was skeptical. I asked about the number of procedure they had done and they definitely had the completed significant number so I chose the Halo Laser with BBL for my face, neck and chest. I recommend Halo because the procedures are doctor supervised and the treatments were performed by a laser technician that had done over 100 procedures. My face, neck and chest were numbed and I thought the procedure was minimally painful, and the discomfort was tolerable. Included in the treatment plan were medications that would minimize related ancillary issues, i.e. cole sores, swelling. Additionally they included products to speed recovery. Over and above, I got a text message the next day, SUNDAY, to check on me and asked for pictures to see my progress! The practice followed up for the next days. I have had procedures with other doctors and couldn't even get a call back so I thought this was exceptional. True to their word, I was able to be on a Zoom call three days later. My tenacious brown spots disappeared or were significantly lightened. My eye area looks better and it takes several months to fully appreciate the benefits of collagen growth. My friend said I looked refreshed, relaxed and overall better. I highly recommend the Halo Laser and BBL treatment and this is the place to go.

She told me all i needed was a good med spa and, while she didn't know her personally, she was impressed with Dr. Amy Taub's work. I looked up Dr. Taub and was excited to see she was right in my backyard at Advanced Dermatology. I called to make an appointment and they told me she wasn't seeing new patients for at least the next year. Never deterred I called their other location in Lincolnshire and they fit me in for a consultation later that month. During the consultation I met with Dr. Taub's lovely and very informative assistant and then Dr. Taub herself. They gave a recommendation for filler (which I've always been afraid of, but figured worth a shot) and scheduled me in the Glencoe office for a few weeks later. Apparently she is only in Glencoe on Thursdays, which is why it can be tough to get an appointment there. Appointment day arrived. I was a little scared of the pain, but figured it couldn't be worse than childbirth. Thanks to Dr. Taub and her amazing staff it didn't hurt at all. They also blow cold air on your face during the process, which felt really good after being outside on a very hot day. I left a little sore with very minimal bruising...and could already notice a big difference within 5 minutes. Dr. Taub didn't use all the filler i had purchased because didn't think i needed it and said the under eye area is very sensitive, but scheduled me for a quick follow up next month to see if i needed more. It was a very quick, painless and successful appointment. I was so impressed with Dr. Taub and the entire staff that I plan to go there for other cosmetic dermatology needs in the future.
