There are a lot of good plastic surgeons out there. What makes Dr. Casas stand out above the rest is the specialized care she gives to her patients. It starts with her pre-op care. She discusses diet and vitamin regime prior to surgery to ensure your body heals in the best way possible. She asks that you cut things out of your diet like chocolate and caffeine that can effect your body's healing process and impact scarring. Then she gives you a specific vitamin protocol to help promote healing. And post operatively? That is where she is different. She doesn't just see you two or three times and then move on. She sees you two or three times...per week! For about 4-6 weeks. I have spoken to some of my friends who have had surgery from other reputable surgeons and none of them have had even close to the the post operative care she provides. After my procedure, it looked as though my incision was getting red and potentially infected. Because I was there as much as I was, she caught it right away and was able to open a small part of the incision that was getting infected and treat it immediately. If I had not been seeing her as much as I was, the infection would have gotten so much worse affecting both my health and how I healed. Her early intervention helped to avoid a horrible infection and I healed perfectly! The scar looks perfect and is barely visible because of her intensive post-op care. She also has her patients get a specialized lymphatic drainage massage (known as MLD-manual lymphatic drainage) in the office 2-3 times per week for 4-6 weeks post operatively - absolutely one of the best ways to minimize swelling and promote circulation and healing. I recently had a friend who had a breast reduction and tummy tuck from a different surgeon. She was still so swollen 3 months post-op and was very uncomfortable and unhappy with her results. I spoke to her about the lymphatic massage and put her in touch with someone who could come to her home to massage and teach her how to massage herself. Just 4 weeks later...she was a new person! Her swelling was finally going down and she felt so much better! Again, just something else Dr. Casas does so her patients can get the best results possible. At 38 years old, and nine months after breast augmentation by Dr. Laurie Casas, I am thrilled! I was not exactly sure what kind of breast implants I even wanted. The choices were overwhelming. She asked me to work with her to pick the best implants for my body. Dr. Casas spent so much time with me, patient explaining that there are round and shaped implants and why one would be better than another one for me, why one would be better than another one for me. Together we picked the best cup size and shape. She has very strict rules for the way you're not supposed to use your arms for a short time after surgery. Not only do you meet with her for a long consultation but you meet with her for a second consultation before the surgery to go over everything. I got to try on implants under bras and tight tanks tops. Dr. Casas also gave me helpful info on vitamins and nutrition that I haven't heard before and that was also extremely beneficial with my healing. She called me at home after surgery! She and her staff treated me with so much respect and care, I was stunned. I now have her cell number so that I can contact her between yearly appointments if I have any problems. All of my appointments after surgery and forever are included in her fee so beware of the doctor that offers you a low price because my understanding is those doctors might only see you once or wtice after surgery. I know others who went with another surgeon and didn't get half the care I did. The massage with every appointment after surgery helped me not look big on top like so many people say on line. I thought Dr. Casas was the best and then after I googled her, I found out that she was named one of the top four plastic surgeons in the country for breast implants. After I had mine, 2 of my friends alsd had breast implants by Dr. Casas and they love their result like I do. She is the warmest doctor I have ever met. I cannot recommend her enough! Dr. Casas and her staff are one of a kind. Every person you meet, from your first call to make that first appointment, makes you feel important. I'm starting to show my age (54!) and I wanted to know what I could do to look my best. I was so afraid to look weird like so many people do when they go to a "cosmetic surgeon". Let me tell you that you have NOTHING to worry about if you go to Dr. Casas or her staff! They all believe in helping you look your natural best. It was cool that I was required to bring photos of myself at as many decades as I could find, to help Dr. Casas understand how I have aged. When we started the consultation, which took 45 minutes, I felt really educated on not only what she and her staff could do, but also what I had to do everyday to help stop this aging process and try to reverse some of the ugly wrinkles. Well, its six months later and I look great! I do my skin care morning and night, I take supplements because my diet is not perfect, I have a great nutritional plan Dr. Casas gave me that really helps keep away that middle age bulge and I exercise a little bit EVERY day. After I started my skincare, I went to the office and had laser treatments by Elizabeth. After my skin started looking healthy, I had Ultherapy to my chest, neck and face. That took 3 months to notice real changes. My neck and face looks tighter! The Ultherapy treatment gets a little hot so Elizabeth gave me this cooling thing to hold which blew cold air. That really helps. I started to do Dysport (like Botox) for my wrinkles between my eyebrows. Dr Casas has been caring for me for 15+ years! She is the most thorough and meticulous human I know. She educates her patients about proper skin care, diet and the importance of physical activity, before and after a procedure. She has pushed me to use better posture and be more aware of my eating habits even before she would do my surgeries. She has done two amazing breast reductions on me, one before kids and one after, I have received facial injections from her for the lines between my eyes, she has done a complete rhinoplasty and liposuction on me. I waited to write this review for a few months so that I can give everyone on here detailed information on how my experience went. I had my BA done in May of this year. Let's start by saying, I've had the best experience with Dr. Casas and her team. I went to 7 other surgeons before I met with Dr. Casas and I just wasn't comfortable enough which is why I kept searching. The first ten minutes with her, I knew she was the surgeon for me. She took so much time (almost two hours) and was so detailed with my consult. She made me feel comfortable before surgery, during, and afterwards. She also made herself available to me 24/7 which to me was important since I had never had surgery before. The lymph node massages was a critical part of my recovery. Janina is the person who does the lymph node massages and she is super experienced, likable, and knows exactly what she is doing. I could not be happier with my results. 100% as good as it gets! I could not imagine a more dedicated, passionate plastic surgeon. I came in for a relatively simple procedure- botox injections to my masseters to help with clenching. I expected to the doctor to rush in and out as I'm accustomed to but that was absolutely not the case. I received my treatment and so much more. Dr. Casas took the time to discuss aging with me, skincare, and how the clenching was affecting my appearance. I received the botox injections and they were painless tiny pinches. Within a week I felt immense relief from the clenching that was causing me headaches and a stiff, sore jaw. It's been an absolute blessing! I went back 2 weeks later for a follow up and small touch up. It's been 3 months and the botox is still working. I don't need to go back in just yet, but I look forward to my next appointment with Dr. Casas. I highly recommend Dr. Casas! I had the Miradry treatment for sweat reduction and I'm so glad i did it. Would call it "Lifechanging" - I don't have to wear deodorant anymore and I can wear silk blouses without worrying about sweat stains (plus I saved money on dry cleaning) . Dr. Casas spent alot of time with me explaining how it works and never rushed me through the process. She was great. She makes you feel very comfortable and you feel like you can ask her anything.
