Agnes is incredible. Highly recommend!! I was searching for someone who could manage remnants of multiple laser treatments and wanted a permanent fix. I'm 100% satisfied! read more

Agnes is one of the best Electrolysis I have ever used. She is the only one who was able to eliminate the hair on my face. She cares about her clients and takes the time to listen to your concerns. Her prices are reasonable, and she is sweet and nice. If you are looking to permanently eliminate annoying hair Agnes is the best. Very satisfied client from Buffalo Grove! read more

I have been seeing Agnes for a few months. I am so pleased with the results. It is easy to make an appointment . I would recommend her services to anyone . read more

I would 100% recommend electrolysis with Marcy - she is so kind and very knowledgeable about everything to do with electrolysis and hair growth. I've had sessions for about two months now and I already see a huge difference in my facial hair regrowth. I used to pluck my hair daily, and now I can go a whole week with very minimal hair regrowth. I'm not suggesting others will have the same results this quickly, but anyone considering it should definitely try it. I have a long journey ahead of me, but it's genuinely been life changing so far. Have patience and try it out - you can't go wrong with Marcy as your electrologist. read more

Agnes is an excellent electrolysis provider! She does a great job and is very efficient. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend Agnus! She makes the process so comfortable and not painful. She is highly experienced. Agnus is amazing, you should book her now! read more

Agnes is outstanding. I needed results after trying laser (which made matters worse), and after working with another electrolysis provider for 6 months with little to no results ... I have seen amazing results after just 3 visits. This third visit Agnes really let her personality shine, she is such a witty, brilliant person in addition to being a talented provider. I consider her a God-send. She has evening and weekend hours. Highly recommend. read more

Giselle scheduled me for the following week after telling me I was booked for the same day. After driving there, agnes informed me it's the following week by a mistake on their end. It took two hours of my time. No one barely answers the phone and it's constant phone tag to schedule. There are many other options/electrolysis places I'll look into. read more

The only thing is the hygiene. The gloves are not changed when touching the chair or the machine that has been touched before with gloves used on other patients, that I don't know what part of their body was treated and then my face, disgusting . The effects are good and I see results with the hair growth, yet moving the lamp and touching the floor, moving the chair, touching the door knob with the gloves that are then used in my face is horrible read more

I would absolutely recommend this office to anyone who needs electrolysis. I did electrolysis before and don't see any result, since coming here there has been major improvement! Thank you Agnus! You are truly amazing and very sweet. read more

Marcy, Agnes and Giselle are a great team! Very professional, qualified, fast and very clean. They are supper flexible in terms of making or cancelling your appointments. I have been doing my eyebrows with Marcy for a year now but I also got a chance to see Agnes and Giselle. The place is open and available for people with different schedules. Mornings, evenings, even Sundays! So convenient for stay-at-home-on-e-learning mom like myself! What is most important I am super happy with the results! I highly recommend A Permanent Effect Electroysis! read more

I cannot recommend Marcy enough! I have been coming here for a few years now and her work is amazing! I'm so happy I made the decision to try it out. I am in the process of working on my eyebrows that look spectacular! I get so many compliments. Marcy is doing an amazing job on them. She is very nice, always on time and will always work with you to make sure you get an appointment. I highly recommended you try her out if you are looking to do electrolysis! read more

Marla M Facial hair is very embarrassing as many of us have experienced. So we just pluck our chin hairs and always worry about one showing up during the day. I finally got tired of plucking and went to Marcy. She made me feel very comfortable about the process and not embarrassed. I had been plucking forever and it took quite awhile to get it under control but now it is mostly gone! I never thought it was possible. Marcy counseled me through the process and everything she said would happen was true. It's a pleasure to wake up every morning and just be able to go and not waste time worrying about my facial hair. read more

Marcy is just awesome. She gets a ton done per session and, while electrolysis doesn't tickle, she is very aware of your pain threshold and makes it as comforatable as she can with different creams and soothers before and after. Two thumbs up. read more

I have been seeing Marcy for several months now. I'm currently having my upper lip hair removed and I have seen great results. She is very professional with her work! read more

I have been going to Marcy for a number of years now. I have only good things to say. I would recommend her for a number of reasons. Quality of work, cleanliness, professionalism, price, timeliness. THANK YOU Marcy !!l. I highly recommend Permanent Effect. I have been to other electrolysis in the past and she is the only one I have been 100% happy with. You cannot go to just anyone. They could do some serious damage or make problems worse. read more

Marcy is the best!!! I would recommend her to anybody. She's very professional, punctual and experienced. During first visit Marcy explained everything about treatment and what I can expect from it. She never made false promises, but after year of treatment I can honestly say my embarrassing problem has been solved permanently. I also did my eyebrows and I LOVE IT. read more

Overpriced and not great. I switched to this placed because I had scheduling conflicts with my old electrolysis place. I started having appointments with Agnes. She's a relatively new electrologist and they had a special with going with her or Loubna, the other new electrologist. My first couple sessions were fine until one week at the end of April I had a scheduled appointment at 1pm. But I wasn't allowed in until 1:15-1:20 because Agnes went overtime with her previous client. Agnes was very frantic and apologetic. But she ended up doing a different method of electrolysis on my sideburns accidentally. She left it on the flash method and I found out later that night that she did because I had little scabs all over my sideburns. I still continued to see her, then I ended coming here because I realized I was paying way too much for someone with little experience. I asked Marcy if I could switch to her but after 5-6 sessions she still considered me as a new client and she does not accept new clients on weekends (which is normally when I have my sessions because I have school on the weekdays). I understand previous clients are very important, but after a month of service, I shouldn't be considered new. Additionally, I wasn't seeing results with Agnes. My hair growth was still quite rapid. I switched to another place in the surrounding area, which is 10x better and cheaper. I was paying Agnes the same price I'm currently paying and my current electrologist has over 25 years of experience. And I barely have hair on my sideburns now because the electrologist at my new place is much more quicker and more efficient. read more

Agnes is the best! She made me feel so comfortable and honestly changed my life. I would wake up every morning stressing about my facial hair and I came across Agnes who made me feel so much better about myself. She is super delicate, helpful, and listens to her clients. I would recommend Agnes to everyone in a heartbeat! read more

I have had electrolysis done in the past but was not happy with the places. Went to Marcy and she is great. She is always on time for appointments and does a great job. I was having problems with redness and bumps, but with Marcy I have none of those problems. A great experience. Highly recommended. read more

Marcy really knows her stuff. I have to say, I've been very pleased with the results!

I have been coming to Marcy for hair removal for a few years now. I began with Marcy and then made the decision to try laser because I thought it was less painful and would work just as well. I wasted over a year and made my hair growth way worse, only to come back to Marcy in the end. There is absolutely nothing that can beat electrolysis when it comes to permanent hair removal. I also believe that not all electrologists are created equal. Marcy is not only extremely professional but efficient as well. She has absolutely changed my life (not to sound dramatic), but not having to worry about unwanted hair is an amazing feeling. I have recommended so many people to her and I will continue to. read more

Marcy's bio says that she specializes in brow shaping-- and it's a fact! I always get compliments on how my eyebrows look, and I haven't really had to have them touched for years now, thanks to the time I spent with Marcy years ago. Putting in the time with a great electrologist like Marcy is well worth it to not have to deal with constant maintenance of upper lip hair, stray eyebrows, etc. The pain level with the techniques Marcy uses is really pretty minimal, too, and this is coming from someone who is somewhat of a wimp when it comes to pain on the upper lip area. On other notes, Marcy works quickly, has a very clean workspace, and is quite timely. Definitely would recommend her business to anyone! read more

I have been seeing Marcy for a year or so and I have to admit, she is doing wonderful job. She is very particular and detail oriented. I am very satisfy with the job but it takes time and you need to be patient. Strongly recommend the place!!! read more

This was an awful experience. I did several sessions, and Marcy spent the whole time telling me how gross my hair was. A year later I still have scarring on the area where I received electrolysis, and there is no change in my hair. read more

I highly recommend A Permanent Effects to anyone looking for hair removal. Marcy is a true professional. She is honest about what to expect, she is prompt for all appointments and her work is impeccable. I was very skeptical about trying this. I have very fair skin and other types of hair removal attempts have all failed. I had previously tried Laser which did not remove any hair. Then waxing which only lasts for about a week and it irritates my skin leaving it red and bumpy . Marcy assured me the electrolysis would work, and she was so right. The hair is gone and there has been no irratation at all, actually the results have been totally amazing!!!. read more

Let me start off by saying I've had electrolysis before and that person retired. I will not go back here again. I was left with bumps all over the lower portion of my face because the technician didn't run that metal roller thing that prevents this (or at least diminishes) over the treated area at the end of the session - bumps lasted a good 48 hours. I had to keep icing the treated area. In addition to the bumps, pinhead scabs developed and that didn't clear up for 2 weeks. I've never had this happen before. Technician was Lubna (nice lady but not sure she knows what she's doing). read more

I've been to a few electrolysists and Marcy is the best! She listened to my history of hair growth, made suggestions, and explained the whole process in detail. She really knows her stuff. Her technique has been less painful and has caused less redness than other places. Her office is very clean and comfortable. Her prices are average to low. I am no longer conveniently located near her office, but I think I will have to drive the distance to keep her services because I can't find anyone else as good in my area. read more

Marcy is great. A real professional that definitely gets results. She is a nice person too. I'm very pleased with her service.

I've gone to Marcy for several years. She is very professional and very accommodating. Also have had great results with Marcy. I would highly recommend her to others. read more

Marcy is fantastic at what she does. I'd previously had bad experiences with hair removal and thought I would never be satisfied with results. However Marcy is completely amazing and has taken me from the once a week sessions I was doing with a different electrologist to once every 8 weeks, if that. I'm so thrilled with her work. She's great! read more

I have had a great experience coming to Marcy! I have had great results and am so glad I decided to try electrolysis. I would highly recommend a permanent effect and Marcy. Marcy has been informative and very professional from day one. I've seen her for over a year and I am SO thankful I had electrolysis. It is the only treatment that truly extinguished my hair on my chin and neck. I was self conscious for years and now incredibly relieved and feel so much gratitude to A Pernament Effect. One of the best things I've ever done for myself. read more

Marcy is the great! Extremely knowledgeable, professional and fast. Definitely recommend her services to everyone.

I drove 45min after a 3 week wait to get in to see Marcy after reading good reviews. I'm turning 29 and I must have looked alot younger to her because she immediately acted as if I was a lost little girl in the wrong office? I have tattooed eyebrows and after insulting me and referring to my tatted brow as a "pink line" (it's brown btw??) Then I'm thinking to myself omg this poor lady is colorblind, she proceeded to ask me "wheres your other eyebrow" I simply answer "it's sparse thats just how it grows in now from 15 years of tweezing unfortunately" onto business I tell her I want the hair above my tattooed eyebrows permantly removed. She comes out and say "I'm not comfortable with that I only do natural looks" For some odd reason I thought since I was the paying customer It was suppose to be my choice in how I wanted my extremely thick eyebrows thinned out. So I said ok "can you just take off whatever your comfortable with taking off" She said no lets find you someone closer. She just flat out refused to do even anything with them. Point blank if your not over the age of 40 and a white lady she's probably not interested in doing her job with you. Ignorance at it's best. read more

Marcy is an exceptionally professional small business owner and THE pro at shaping eyebrows! She did my electrolysis 12 years ago, I haven't had to pluck a hair since, and people actually complement me to this day on how beautiful my eyebrows are! Marcy is wonderful at making sure you are as comfortable as possible during the procedure and runs a very personal office. I couldn't be happier about having had Marcy permanently shape my eyebrows! read more

If you want to get rid of body hair for good, you need to come see Marcy. I tried other electrolysists in the area, but wasn't happy with my results. Once I found Marcy, I knew I would finally get the results I wanted for YEARS. You really have to have patience and keep up with your appointments, and I PROMISE, you will see the hair disappear forever!!!! I do not regret one dollar or second I have spent in her care. I travel about 40-45 minutes from my home to get to Marcy's office (an hour or more in traffic) because the results I get are worth it!! read more
