Fettoosh salad
William D.

Great local restaurant and the owner/chef has a wonderful fun personality. I'm not super familiar with this style of cuisine but each dish felt homey, straight forward, healthy, and tasty. I know delivery is convenient and I also order via apps, but I strongly recommend visiting in person. I did hear a conversation of a customer who ordered most likely from DoorDash and a lot of the apps/drivers play weird games. The owner was super understanding and made the demanding customer happy at the end of the day. You do get a lot of food for the price so I would consider this a value. With the rising price of fast food I would rather come here.

I would consider this a hole in the wall but I'm glad we found it! A friend took us here and it was a pleasant experience. We went for a late lunch, to avoid the lunch rush, since our friend recommended that. It seating area is rather small, maybe a handful of tables of two, and the another handful of tables of four. The menu is pretty simple to follow and had a variety of appetizers (including salads), kebabs, couscous, swarmas, variety of entrees. We got the fettoosh as starter and it was delicious. Refreshing and light with the tomatoes, cucumbers, mint and olives. I got a lamb kebab plate and my partner got the royal couscous. The kebab plate was the right amount of food for me and it came with lamb, hummus (with pita), rice and some salad. The lamb was really tasty and I enjoyed the pita with the hummus. The royal couscous came with chicken, sausage and lamb (on the bone) on a mound of couscous. It had also had a variety of cooked vegetables (apparently 7 different types) that was also on top of the couscous and in the sauce they serve on the side. The lamb was our favorite from that variety and it had a different flavor from the kebab. The service was good and the owner is very friendly and kind. Their credit card machine wasn't working properly that day so we paid in cash, it's a good idea to bring some just in case!

Aziz is a gem! And Fettoosh surpassed all of my expectations. Aziz feeds you like family and the food is reminiscent of something your mother would cook for you at home. You can taste the love in their food and their love of feeding people and making them feel welcome. Run, don't walk here !

So I went back again a few days later because the food is so good. I love trying different cultural cuisines and this place represents Morocco well. The service is great, with the owner very attentive to his customers. The environment is very casual so great to visit with family and friends. On this last trip we got zaalouk again (my wife absolutely loves it), tried the sfeha bi-lahmi (incredibly delicious and something I'll want every visit), and the chicken tfaya couscous (very flavorful; loved the raisins in it), and hot mint tea.

I went here during the holy month,so I tried their Iftar and veggie combo. Iftar can a bit heavy so I recommend one fasts as well if one can :-) This is a very hospitable place with great service and delicious Moroccan and Lebanese food.

This is a great place. Good portion. Got the lamb couscous and fill me up. They have amazing tea as well. The owner served us and it was good service. Ambience is very family restaurant. Not really for date but great with big family. Lamb Couscous - the couscous is amazing, very tasty lamb, couple with veggie. Very home-comforting!

Bistilla- so perfectly flavored moist with a crispy phyllo.

I brought a friend who was a foodie here and he LOVED it (as did I). He ordered the shawarma platter and I ordered the bistilla and fetoosh salad.

The owner himself takes orders and helps to bring out food; friendly and super nice. The draw back is on this hot summer day (100F) there's no air con. There's a tiny unit but it barely works. So hot here. I was sweating and my appetite was affected as a consequence. Their chicken bastilla is very unique and delicious; it's like a meat pie with a flaky crispy crust. You can taste the almonds, parsley, and cinnamon; it is slightly sweet. Lamb shank is melting in your mouth level of delicious. Couscous is great. Chicken tangine is great (not served in a traditional tangine pot but on a plate though).

I had seen this restaurant a few weeks ago and decided to try it out. The owner was very friendly and spoke to me in French. I ordered the chicken couscous. He also brought me a cucumber and tomato salad, some bread, and afterwards, some mint tea. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere was calm. I will definitely be back!!

Expanding my taste buds for the first time in Moroccan dishes and am I happy to say this was such an amazing experience. The owner is SO kind and funny, everyone was greeted by him and he literally was the reason why everyone was smiling and in good spirits. You must get the tea, the tea is better than the typical Asian tea imo. Merry had a little lamb, get the lamb. The lamb couscous and shank was by far the best lamb I've had. Lamb vindaloo or roghan josh is its own unique taste, this couscous and veggies is a taste I cannot describe, it's subtle, not salty, not sweet, just lipsmacking and homey. The bastilla was not my favorite, as I don't fancy cinnamon too much, however the chicken was flavorful and almost like a dry rub.

Royal Couscous and lamb with lemon & olives

I enjoyed a casual dinner at Fettoosh with friends last weekend. I didn't read any reviews prior to the dinner so I wasn't sure what to expect. The establishment is very small in a strip mall in Arlington. There's little ambiance or service, but good flavors come out of the kitchen. They describe it online as "unfussy counter service" which is definitely accurate. Let me just say - the lamb with lemon and olives was absolutely incredible. This lamb fell right off the bone and was probably the best flavored lamb I've ever enjoyed. The fries were also cooked to perfection. The royal couscous was flavorful and the sausage was delicious. I wasn't a huge fan of the baba Ghanouj and the grape leaves were fine. I don't think either of the bread options were homemade and neither was a stand out for me - whereas I normally love pita and Moroccan bread. If you know what to order here, you can definitely have a fabulous meal. I would think it would be great for takeout as well. Next time I want to try the spinach pie as it was sold out this visit.

Veggie bastilla
Ellen K.

The bastilla!! I'd been daydreaming about having bastilla for literally years and Fettoosh did not disappoint! The veggie bastilla was chock full of root veggies, bits of nuts and was just oh so good! Other than that, the service was very friendly and the other food and pricing were quite excellent as well. Only downside is the ambiance. It's a hole in the wall spot that starts feeling very cramped if there's several parties seated. The table next to us was commenting on our food, to give an idea of how cramped it was. Already planning carryout soon!

YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS PLACE! Such a great Moroccan place! It is a requirement to get a bastilla! Truly one of the most unique and tasty dish I have had. I cannot wait to go back and get it again. The falafel was some of the best in the area! I also got chicken that was cooked to perfection. The owner was very hospitable and friendly.

They pride themselves as a healthier spot and the food definitely reflected that. We started off with drinks (they only do happy hour at the bar) and got the Mojito and the mediteranean martini. Both were good but the purple mojito was definitely the star of the show. For appetizers we got the "fried" cauliflower and the hot appetizer platter. The cauliflower definitely felt more baked then fried and the portion was quite fair. The hot appetizer platter comes with 2 cheese rolls, 2 falafels, and two kibehs. I will say, for $17, I would love perhaps 3-4 of each item instead of just 2 each. The kibeh were super tasty and so were the cheese rolls, but the falafel were a bit dry. For our mains we got the lamb chops and the steak kabob - both were fantastic. Simple flavors but really well done on both ends, with both cuts of meat cooked to order. I will say, I would love a little bit more side veggies- especially for the $45 dollar lamb chops but I assume they expect you to order more sides like we did. Quick service, Arlington prices, a bit cold inside on a cold day. Will definitely be back to try more!
