If you care about the health and well-being of your pet, DO NOT BRING THEM HERE!!! I have never…read morebefore seen such incompetence! And if you challenge their opinion with documented facts, they become extremely rude. Do NOT trust your precious pet in their care.

This may get lengthy! If I could leave no stars, that's exactly what I would do. To start, we've…read morebeen with this vet since 2019 and my family has been with them since the early 2000's. My dog was dealing with a few things so we called to make him an appointment. While making the appointment it was never mentioned we would be charged an emergency fee. We accepted the appointment given! Right there, they are knowingly taking people for their money. It was stated from the very beginning that we couldn't afford a high vet bill and to communicate any excess cost prior to doing any tests. Upon picking our dog up, we were given the total. It was a total of $410.25! My husband was able to pay part of that and that we would pay the remainder by the end of the week. When he got home, he said he has never felt so belittled and like he was something they stepped in because of the way they treated him. I receive a phone call today so I ask why we were charged an emergency fee when it was never stated that a fee would be charged. Their response while laughing was "Well you signed the paper." No where on the paper did it state "You will be charged an emergency fee" on top of a $15 dollar "day" fee. Mind you, if they said "If you accept the appointment for this day, it will include an emergency fee, but if you take an appointment next week, it won't." My husband and I have never felt so belittled by a business in our lives. The lady I spoke with said "I have 12 people that have mortgages, 2+ cars, can go buy groceries etc." We never said we weren't going to pay our balance. By the end of our phone call I requested our dogs medical records to take him elsewhere. When I went to pick them up, I told them their disrespect was the reason for going elsewhere and the response I got was "What you give is what you get." Moral of the story, take your pets anywhere other than here. Not one but two of the women working at the counter were nasty and disrespectful! For 4 years we have considered finding a different vet but have continued with South Shore due to being close to them. We're talking about a black lab, the most infectious, happy dogs has acted very skidish since we picked him up. This wasn't just this specific visit that they have been nasty, it's been many years of this! Now we will drive an hr for better care and it's cheaper! We are completely content with that! Our only regret is not doing so sooner! Then on top of it all, I get home and they didn't even give me all of my dogs records! I have informed those that I know that take their animals to said business and they won't be returning! To add, this was the Dr's wife that treated me like this! Keep that in mind when you decide where to take your pet(s)!! I'm not one to leave reviews, I forgive and forget but not this time! It is not about the best interest of your pet(s) here, it's about how much money can they get!

Underdtandably, services changed a bit. However, Covid isn't the issue any longer. It is the take over of the clinics by the "high dollar rollers". These folks now run the show and if you are not among the rich and famous, your pet is going to suffer greatly. Monetarily, I am not flush for funds, sorry about that, but should my pet now suffer the ravages of this deep pocket atmosphere? Maybe we can develope a Medicaid club for pets? If there is anyone out there who may add funds to a pet's care, let us know. Ray, is suffering and this vet has turned a deaf ear to his needs until I come up with at least $995 - $1200 for possible care. Yes, I've offered even $250 to examine his prolapse, no luck here though. Yes, the June 21, 2024 review says it all now. Hope these employees sleep well while the world of animals joins the failing compassion of our health care systems, both human and animals included. The Burgei Family of Roscommon

You Are In GOOD HANDS with this Veterinary Clinic!!!…read more For seven years my Golden Retriever has had terrible scabbing and skin conditions in the Summertime. Two other Veterinarians kept prescribing Prednisone and immune system booster shots, I've been told "It's from Swimming, Food allergies, deficient immune system etc etc etc" My Mechanic told me of Roscommon Veterinary Clinc. He said they were the most through Vet he had been to. Ruger had his worst year this year and I was beside myself seeking answers for my Best Friend. The Doc took Scab samples and found a secondary skin infection. Then prescribed an Antibiotic and Apequil with a medicated shampoo. Two days later my Dog was a Happy Camper again and Fur is growing back in nicely just in time for Winter. I highly recommend you brings your Best Friend to this Veterinarian! Steve Moser
