Unfortunately after 3 weeks since my sitting request with Fetch Palm Desert, they still hadn't confirmed the dates. Since it was my first time using their service in this area, I needed to meet with the sitter who would be staying at my house And was running out of time to accomplish the meet, and orientation of the house and my dog. I emailed them and got a reply the next day saying they were working on my request, sorry for the delay and would get back to me shortly. 5 days before my trip, I still hasn't heard back, so I cancelled the request with an explanation as to why. The night before our wedding Fetch lost our dog, who was later hit by a car and died. My wife wrote a detailed review, and the first response by Kathleen, the owner of Fetch, was to threaten us with getting attorneys involved because my wife shared her experience. Kathleen tried to publicly deny what happened and discredit my wife by saying what she wrote was "completely false allegations from a distraught woman..." and even lied about statements from "witnesses," all of whom I personally confirmed never even spoke to Fetch. In sharing my own experience with Fetch, I can assure you everything my wife wrote happened exactly as explained. Kathleen claims we never asked her what happened that night, however I have an email from Kathleen the day after the incident confirming the timeline of events. According to Kathleen's own email, not only did Jane (the sitter) wait 34 minutes to finally notify us that Mickey was lost, but Jane actually followed Mickey for 10 minutes with her in sight when she could have called us to get her since we said we were only 5 minutes away at our rehearsal dinner. Now, in efforts to minimize fault, Fetch claims they didn't know about our dog's "capabilities"- that she had tried to open doors when left alone (which was the only reason we hired a sitter). Not only does Fetch have our application which included a section about our dog's history, but Kathleen even called us wanting more specific information about it. We described everything in detail and gave her clear instructions to never leave our dog alone, which the sitter didn't follow. At no point did she offer to have the sitter meet our dog beforehand as she says is a precaution of Fetch. Lastly, we only filed a claim with Fetch's insurance because we thought at least our tragedy could help other animals in need. Any compensation received was donated to various animal rescues and charities. Yet, Kathleen had the nerve to say we waited to write our review until we were compensated as if that was all we cared about. Kathleen has since removed her legal threats and repositioned her response to seem considerate and sympathetic. Her attempt to save face considering her first response is pathetic and telling of her true character as a business owner. Be wary of who you're getting involved because my negative experience with Fetch has been a nightmare. read more

Not only did Kathleen get back to me right away once I contacted her, but she addressed any questions and concerns I had about leaving my two precious angel doggies with a stranger. He clearly loved my boys and was quite patient with my rather rambunctious barker, Jasper.
