The location on Unionville Main Street is also a big plus, and they have a really nice patio that would be perfect for dining outside when the weather is nice. The food was absolutely delicious. We started with the mussels and octopus, and both were excellent. I especially love the charred flavour in the octopus. And the baguettes that came with the mussels are so addicting as well. Love the little kick in the broth! For our mains, we ordered the striploin and seafood risotto. The striploin was cooked perfectly and full of flavour, while the seafood risotto was creamy and packed with seafood. Our server was attentive, friendly, and very helpful with his recommendations. He gave us his honest opinion when we were deciding between the tenderloin and striploin. We ended up choosing to try more dishes instead of spending $185 on the bone-in tenderloin in the end. And even though we ordered way too much food for just the two of us, we cleared EVERYTHING! they were that delicious! We'd definitely come back for more food!

You'll need reservations here for sure and best to reserve a table not the day before otherwise they'll have bar tops available. They have a second floor for a more private dining which is nice for small groups or couples, the washrooms are downstairs, floors are slippery - be careful! When we got there we got to choose between the alcohol side or kitchen bar, we chose the alcohol bar side since the bartender Jasmine greeted me immediately and complimented my outfit. This is a pricey place, more a high end kind of restaurant so if you're looking for a cheaper place, don't go here obviously. Food was pretty decent with what we ordered. The only that didn't stand out whatsoever was the salmon. I've been to many high end restaurants and in other countries so salmon isn't much of a hit typically. They sold out of the bass fillet and the mussels (specials for the night/week - forgot what Jasmine said) so if you want to try these, order asap! Drinks were great! I asked for a Caesar as my second/third drink and wanted a specific amount of spice, Jasmine just came with the tabasco and put the amount I wanted, thank goodness! I feel like we definitely got the best service sitting by the drinks bar with Jasmine just genuinely kind and chatting with us. We had a great time and will definitely be coming here again.

I've always known this Greek restaurant was in the plaza but never dined in until now - wow I have been missing out! Upon arrival, the space is quite dated but I still had high hopes for the food which did not disappoint. Servers were all older gentlemen that seemed intimidating but were very friendly and attentive. Everything we ordered was so delicious: Kalamarakia Fried 5/5 - Seasoned and lightly fried calamari served with Tzatziki sauce. It wasn't too crispy but had the perfect chew/ bite to it. Great for sharing. Cold Pekelia 5/5 - This was served with 4 different dips and 2 light bites including Tzatziki, taramosalata, octopus, melitzanosalata, olives and hummus. Absolutely delicious and a range of different flavours to try. Served with pita on the side. Chicken Souvlaki Dinner 5/5 - Tender chunks of chicken breast, marinated and broiled to perfection. All their dinners come with a Greek salad and garlic bread. Portions are plenty per person. Chicken was tender, juicy and bursting with flavours. Gyro Dinner 5/5 - Blend of lamb and beef, lightly spiced and broiled. Served with rice, roast potatoes, veggies and Tzatziki. So delicious I wanted to lick the plate clean. Overall all the food was so good and flavourful. Drinks were okay, I got a caesar that could have used a bit more "ump" to it. I can't wait to come back again as I loved dining here!

While waiting for our food, I noticed remnants of past decor hanging from the surrounding walls and ceiling. Really? Overall, the food was just okay and the ambiance was below average. With similar restaurants in nearby proximity, I would think twice before returning.

Had a family run vibe. There are lots of reviews with high marks so it seems like a sure bet... we tried the chicken and beef shwarma plates. The overall portion was good but there wasn't enough of the beef or chicken. Didn't look the the majority of pictures where there is more meat. Have a look at my pics vs the other pics on the yelp page. The flavors on the meat might have been tuned for a western audience and seemed muted. The chicken was better than the beef. Neither was cut from the vertical rotisserie and were sitting in the bins... seemed dry. I would have thought if it's at the end of the day and the quality isn't as good as at the beginning of the day you would like on the meat... instead if trying to stretch it out lowering the quality of the meal even more. Sadly I won't be going back.

Tip: It's on Uber Eats…read more A few Saturdays ago, I visited this Tahini's in the Malvern area of Scarborough. This eatery is located in a plaza, across from a Walmart Supercentre. I placed an order through Uber Eats and got two regular habibi bowls, which were BOGO. I got them without any pita chips on top. I went with the original, which was chicken, tzatziki, fried onions, spicy garlic sauce, and parsley, all on rice. I chose mild hot for the bowls. I got an estimated time to pick up my order. I was at Malvern Town Centre, so it took no time to drive over here. I got here at around 3:30 pm. There was plenty of parking. I backed into a spot and headed inside the eatery. I was greeted by a friendly woman. I was the only customer. I let her know that I had an Uber Eats order under my name. She nodded and fetched a paper bag with my name on it. I thanked her. We wished each other a great day. I then headed to my car, secured the goods, and drove home. This Tahini's was the second one that I have ever visited. The one in Richmond Hill has steady business. It was a nice change that this location wasn't as crazy at this hour. For dinner, I had one of the bowls. I had the other one the following day. It was my first time having a habibi bowl. It was yummy! The chicken was delicious. It was tender and flavourful with everything in the bowl. The base was fluffy yellow rice. I should order this bowl again. The toppings were fresh. So good! The second bowl heated up fine the following day. It tasted equally as yummy. I've had the baklava at the other location. I should have some here next time. I loved my food and my experience here. I'll be back when I'm in the area again. (335)

We got the garlic sauce and hummus - both came in nice large dollops. Purple cabbage gave a nice crunch as did the pita chips they sprinkled in. Turnips and pickles have a nice salty flavor. Tomatoes are thinly sliced but few in quantity I felt. The pineapples were canned pineapples but decent amount. Overall a pretty filling dish - would recommend the larger size for dinner. I've been to a handful of Osmow's. They are either close to my workplace or in Markham…read more The first Osmow's that opened in Markham is on Woodbine Avenue, just north of highway 7. My first experience wasn't the best. The business made things better when I went back a second time, but it does take a bad first experience to deter me from being a return customer. I have been driving along Markham Road (highway 48) weekly. I flagged getting takeout for dinner here a couple of Wednesdays ago. After getting groceries in Whitchurch-Stouffville, I ordered food from this Osmow's through my Uber Eats app. I got mixed proteins (chicken and beef shawarma) on fattoush salad, with garlic sauce and tahini. I tend to like anything on salad in general, but I crave salad a lot these days. My order was estimated to be ready in 25 minutes. I knew that I would arrive early with my lead foot, so I stopped by Chatime nearby to pick up some bubble tea. Osmow's is steps away from Firehouse Subs. I backed into a spot in front of Osmow's main entrance and walked in. It is strictly takeout from this eatery. All tables and chairs are stacked away in a small corner of the store. I had a nice man help me. I showed him my Uber Eats order number at the counter. He fetched my order that was in a plastic bag. I thanked him and headed out the door. When I got home, I put away my groceries and then had dinner. I like that the container keeping my food safe was compostable. I also got cutlery and napkins in my plastic bag. My mix proteins on salad was yummy. I loved the morsels of tender chicken and beef shawarma. The garlic sauce and tahini were full of flavour. I went with no spice. At Osmow's, it can get super spicy if you go hot. The fattoush salad was fresh. The iceberg lettuce was crispy even with the sauces and proteins on top. I enjoyed the ripe tomatoes, onions, green peppers, and cucumbers in this salad. I did ask that the crispy pita croutons be held. They were. Yay! I devoured my meal. It was so good. My tummy and I were happy. I have found an Osmow's location in Markham that I like. I look forward to trying more food items off the menu. I am eyeing the lamb salad next. (205)
