What I appreciated most was that he didn't just start replacing parts. He thoroughly diagnosed the system, explained what he was testing, and walked me through the results. He showed me that the capacitor was testing low, the contactor was worn and pitted, and even performed a megger test on the compressor to verify it was still healthy. After the repairs, he confirmed everything was working properly by showing me the compressor amperage had dropped back to normal and that the system had an 18-degree temperature split. Keon was patient with all of my questions and never made me feel rushed. He explained the pros and cons of the recommended repairs, including the hard-start kit, so I could make an informed decision instead of feeling pressured. I really appreciated his transparency and professionalism. By the time he was done, our AC was cooling properly again, and he even worked with us on the final price. I called them to look into…read moremy mom's air conditioner because she mentioned she had very low flow on some rooms of her home even though the AC system was completely replaced including the air ducts a few years ago (by another company). Their technician came out and found that my mom's air vents were these wooden type slats and were simply closed causing no flow on the rooms. He was honest and confirmed to me that's all it was. He opened them up and he even replaced a missing air filter from the air intake and didn't charge us extra for it. I appreciate Energy Solutions for being honest, friendly and thorough. He was thorough, even recording videos of his initial inspection so that we had a record. I especially appreciated that he called out Alameda regulations that were going to change in 2029 (this informed our decision to go with a heat pump now) On the day of the installation, we had an amazing experience working with Sam, Benny, Jesus, and Jorge. They were always very thoughtful and polite. Anything that might deviate from the original quote, they would give us a headsup. For example, they noticed that one of the pipes looked missing from the outlet in the yard, and that they would just charge us for parts if they needed to go out to buy a pipe and install it. Fortunately, the pipe was just hidden. They even went out of their way to help us fix one of our broken stairway steps. It was an incredibly smooth process, and we LOVE how quiet the heat pump is. Alex, Osvaldo and Anthony responded to our member request for our yearly heat maintenance. In doing…read moreso they checked our current system to see if an automatic thermostat could be installed for both heat and a/c. New wiring would be needed but while our a/c was old but in good shape, our heater needed work. Instead they offered us viable options for switching out our 20 year old a/c and gas heat to an all electric brand new heat and a/c system with an automatic thermostat. Our ducts and wiring in the attic had rodent damage, a lot of work had to be done. (Plus we had another contractor immediately deal with the rodents.) After two days of hard, diligent work, Osvaldo and Anthony completely replaced and updated our heating and air conditioning systems. When one a/c compressor wasn't to my liking because of its size in the space allotted in our small backyard, Anthony suggested one we liked much better! Osvaldo patiently explained the intricacies of running the system and auto thermostat so that it will be most efficient. We couldn't be more pleased with their professionalism, work ethic and knowledge. Everything is terrific. We highly recommend!!

Last Fall (or was it the year before?) our furnace stopped working, and I called Cali HVAC for service. They sent Oleg fairly quickly, and he did a good job repairing it; in fact, he proved himself to be very conscientious when, after replacing a circuit board that fixed the problem, he didn't like the way one part on the board was oriented, so he came back and replaced that board with a different one that fit better. He could have left it as is, since it was working, and I probably never would have known. In addition to fixing the problem pretty quickly, Oleg was also very informative and polite, answering all questions with patience and no attitudes. So, now I have moved into a new house, and even though the HVAC works, I want to have them check it out, and hopefully educate me about filters to use, what maintenance it might need, and how to make it quieter.
