Decided to hired Home Front to install a new heater/air conditioner after my neighbor had hired them. It was great choice, they did an outstanding job. Showed up on time as promised, got the job done much faster than I thought and cleaned up the area they worked in. Randy is really nice guy to deal with and told me I contact him if I have any questions or concerns after he was done. I really appreciated someone who backs up their work. Overall, I'm very happy and would recommend Home Front to anyone. read more

Was able to be on my property same day, diagnosed our AC unit, showed me in detail what the two issues were and had it fixed right up. Terrific demeanor, really pleasant guy and holy smokes he's smart with HVAC. Randy's the best there is, can't recommend him enough! read more

Randy exceeded our expectations! We called Home Front on a whim on a Saturday morning afternoon realizing that our AC unit wasn't working and Randy saved the day! He made it out within a few hours and fixed our AC unit. We had heard of Home Front from their sign on Byron Highway and they had also floated in our bay one day and introduced themselves to us. We highly recommend Randy and Home Front!! read more

Home Front to the A/C rescue! Over the years they are my go-to and always provide incredible service and value. Yesterday was no exception, I'm so grateful they were able to come out same-day and make a quick repair (especially during an excessive heat wave). Thank you Randy and Team y'all are the best! read more

We used Home Front to install a new furnace and thermostats for our tri-level home. Our 21 year old system was not very efficient and one room took forever to heat up. They inspected our whole system and made sure all was in good operating condition. Randy was our main contact and he was responsive to all our questions, carefully showed us how to operate the new thermostats and even came by when we had some trouble adjusting the thermostats. We've had the new furnace for 3 months now and it's been working great. We really appreciate the knowledgeable, professional, responsive and friendly service we got from Home Front. read more

I would highly recommend this company, I shopped around for months, and once I found homefront, I did not look any further. I compared prices with several other solar companies and homefront had way better prices and better customer service . Nick came by my house and answered all my questions, and he was an absolutely awesome person to deal with when putting solar on my house. Nick was very knowledgeable and always answered my phone calls when I called him. Thanks again, Nick. read more

Home Front provides quality work for a reasonable price. After receiving 4 different bids, I went with Home Front to install AC at my home. Ed was knowledgable on how they'd fit the unit given some space constraints. I also wanted to support a local small business. The installation itself went smoothly and took a day. They handled the permitting process for an extra fee. The duct inspection was scheduled the same day as the installation. However the city inspection (Oakland) had to be scheduled a week out. On the day of inspection, one of their guys waited at my house for the inspector to show up. The inspector failed the inspection and wanted them to change the drainage for the condenser. This was work unrelated to what Home Front did, but it was preventing the permit from finalizing. Unfortunately it took almost 2 months to get a hold of Randy and Ed to reschedule the inspection. On the new inspection day, Home Front rectified the issues and we finally passed inspection. read more

We got solar from Home Front, and they did an amazing job, the install crew was polite, very knowledgeable, and they did a very clean job. From the initial call by Nicos Sotiriadis to the final inspection everything went smoothly! Great Job Home Front. Now we have a great solar system read more

I have solars installed from this company. Their representative Nikos offered best quote from the very beginning. Neither company offered me better options. Installation itself went fast and smooth. Guys even replaced me some broken tiles which was not on the solar side of the roof. Very satisfied with the system and how the work was done. read more

Of all the solar companies that came and knocked on my door to sale solar, NIKOS SOTIRIADIS from Home Front was the only one that was very honest with me. Broke down all the numbers for me making it very easy to understand. I went with my good instinct and made a deal with Nikko. He has been very pleasant to work with it. I will definitely be recommending Home Front to my friends and family! read more

We used Homefront for our solar and would highly recommend them to anyone who wants great service . We have had the panels for about a year and everything Nico said about our agreement has been true . Would definitely use them again in out future home! This company may have responded quickly but that's all I can say about it. My AC unit needed a $20 part. They were there about 30 min and they charged me $475. I asked for a breakdown of what this entailed and they never responded. read more

These guys put in a brand new central heat system for my old Victorian house. They are awesome and here is why: 1 They gave the lowest bid and it was for better system than the higher bids (if you don't count the guy from Craigslist who quoted something lower via phone but never showed up twice for the bid appointment and didn't even call to cancel.) 2 Their bid was very detailed and anticipated everything that was needed 3 They showed up early every time but waited to their appointment time before ringing the doorbell. 4 They were able to start right away. 5 They finished ahead of schedule. 6 They didn't charge extra for some difficulties that came up. 7 They were super nice and friendly and easy to communicate with. 8 They didn't leave a mess. 9 They are knowledgeable and delivered as promised. 10 They guaranteed their work with a very long warranty read more

Randy saved the day again! Our old HVAC decided to die. So we bit the bullet and went with Randy's suggestion. He installed a new furnace and a/c unit. And we couldn't be happier. Or cooler! Randy and his crew was very professional. He left no debris behind. And answered all my questions. Thanks to Home Front HVAC we are now enjoying our hot summer. Thanks again Randy!! read more

We had Homefront come out because our furnace died and our house was freezing and we had company coming over for the holidays They replaced our furnace in 1 day and did quality work . We were so impressed with there work that summer we had Homefront also installed a whole house fan as well. Highly recommended J read more

Loving Yelp Once again I looked to Yelp to find the Best and once again I am pleased with the result. I needed someone to repair my home heater. Home Front Heating & Air had the best ratings so I called them. Randy was prompt and very personable. He found the issue and repaired my heater. I did not ask for a quote in advance, trusting he would be fair. His bill was more than reasonable. Thank you Randy for the great service read more

We were forced to call them, given the company through our Home Warranty, CALIFORNIA HEATING AND COOLING in ANTIOCH (see my review), pretty much told us they couldn't help us until the following week; this mind you during the high heat advisory (113 +) for Labor Day Weekend and their knowledge of us having an infant and a non-operating AC in our home. Randy took our call and given our circumstances stated he would come by the next day. He arrived on time and went into the attic, where he observed a non-working upstairs damper that was causing air loss. He also discovered a lacerated duct, both which he photographed to show the damage was old and had been present for quite some time. He then stated a make shift fix appeared to have been done with TAPE to pacify the problem, however appeared to be short lived and was probably why the AC stopped working again. HENCE, California Heating and Cooling's initial minor repair. He also discovered the vent filter was in egregious shape, having appeared to have not been changed in years; ALL of which was NOT noted by California Heating and Cooling in their initial Home Warranty Service Visit as part of our contingencies prior to the purchase of the home. Randy was thorough, timely and respectful of our property. He didn't make a mess and/or messed up our freshly painted walls. He provided a rough estimate to give us an idea of the cost of the repairs and apologized for not being able to repair it the next day; given most places were closed over the holiday weekend to get parts. He provided some suggestions to help us preserve what little cooling was coming out, as well as some suggestions on how to monitor the dual thermostats in the home to maximize efficiency for future use. read more

Highly recommend Home Front. Niko was very thorough and made himself available with any questions that I had. Both the solar and the HVAC were installed fast and efficiently. I had Sun run at my previous address and the comparison is night and day. Home Front exceeded my expectations! read more

Last night our air conditioner stopped working and of course it's during a heat wave. It was a miserable night just trying to stay cool with the house at 85°. The following morning I gave Randy a call at 7am sharp, he told me he would be at my house around 8am to work on my ac, I was not expecting such a quick response but was so grateful he was able to come out. He checked out a couple of things and found the problem. He fixed it and in no time my ac was back up and running. Randy is such an honest man, he could have skyrocketed the price of his service due to my urgency during this heat wave but his charge was very reasonable for the work he had done. I can't thank Randy enough. If you're in need of ac service, don't hesitate to call Home Front, you will be 100% satisfied with the service. read more

Service is impeccable here. Randy diagnosed the issue and found out it wasn't our refrigerant line. The pipe next too it was leaking! Wow - integrity & a great attitude. If you are looking at A/C work you must include these guys in your bid. Go Randy!!! read more

Home Front recently repaired a refrigerant leak in our home AC condenser. The original symptoms were: thermostat working, both fans working, compressor running, but output air at the vents was not cold. I understood enough to know that there was likely a refrigerant leak, but how, why, and where were beyond my knowledge. Of the three techs I had look at it, Randy from Home Front was the only one to correctly and accurately locate a leak and determine the work required all on his initial paid diagnostic visit. He was also the most thorough in his explanations and advice. We did have to wait a few days for an appointment, since he's a small operation and it was the busy season, so be aware of that. For me, I'm very happy that we were able to support a local family-owned business. They showed up right on time, professional and organized with everything they needed, and were happy to explain all of the work and educate me as they did it, being perfectly patient with all of my questions and interruptions. He didn't leave until he was 100% certain everything was in proper working order again. I am really very happy with this repair job, and the family is back in comfort for the summer. Leaks of course are tricky since the location is the deciding factor for whether a repair should even be attempted, or is even possible. If Home Front brings this level of attention and skill to all their projects, it's no wonder they are so highly reviewed and busy. read more

I was having problems installing a wi-fi thermostat. I called Home Front Heating and Air and spoke with Randy Walker. He told me that he would take a look at my thermostat that very same day. Called to have our AC checked out. Randy was able to get us scheduled the following day. Replaced the part that had failed, checked our filters, and cleaned the coils. Honest and very fair on the cost. Thank you! read more

UPDATE 8/23/2019 Since Randy was so good to us the last time we needed help, Home Front was the first place we called when our AC completely died when it was 108°! My husband is picky when it comes to having to call out for help with big projects, Randy is honest and informative. Once again we were met with quick service and we were able to have a new unit installed within a few days! October 2018 Our water heater blew two nights before vacation and we needed HVAC lines removed for access to replace. We messaged on a Friday night thinking no way will anyone be able help us, but Randy was over at 9am the next morning, Saturday, so we could get it all done before leaving! Amazing service. Extremely happy customers here! read more

This is a company ran by someone who truly cares about customer service appearance professionalism as well as on time reliability. During a crazy heat wave of Hot miserable weather, my air-conditioner decided to quit. Randy was open for business and answered his phone early in the morning and was at my house to diagnose repair and complete the job all well under expected timeframe. Price was extremely reasonable, he had the parts on hand and had me up and running in no time. He was professional and courteous and I could tell he truly cared about customer satisfaction and long-term relationships with customers. My AC stopped working and I needed to get it serviced especially during this hot summer. Clearly like anyone else I wanted to ensure I was able to locate a reliable and honest technician. After reviewing multiple options, I decided to go with Home Front. When I called, Randy immediately answered and he was very professional. He was able to answer my questions and was also able to squeeze me in for service that same day. Home Front as promised showed up on time, Randy and his colleague arrived to take a look at our unit. Both were polite, honest and very informative. As they assisted servicing my unit, they also took the time to educate me which was extremely appreciative considering I am no expert on air conditioning care. Once they identified the issue which was blown fuses and replaced converter they got it up and running in no time. The price was honest and I will definitely use Home Front again. read more

Im a first time home owner, things like having my ac not working is overwhelming, i called a dozen companies that i found here in yelp, no one answered or return my calls. When I went home, I was happy and cool. read more

The Home Front team exceeded all expectations on replacing our home HVAC. They absolutely love their job and it shows in their work. Their consulting and recommendations were spot on and during this historic heat wave the house is now not tolerable, but enjoyable. The cost was very competitive. We are planning on doing an addition to the house and wouldn't want anyone else to do the job but the Home Front guys. If you need HVAC, remodeling, additions, and even solar call Home Front. Professional, skilled, and overall nice guys; highly recommend. read more

All I can say about these guys is WOW! Randy and his team were so easy to work with. Courteous, knowledgeable, efficient and they went the extra mile to make sure everything was done correctly. I appreciated Randy's overall customer service and we have already recommended his services to another friend of ours. Thanks again Home Front! read more

I called Randy this morning and heard back from him within the hour. He got his partner to come do a free estimate and inspection within 3 hours. Ed and his crew were professional, personable, knowledgeable, and overall great. This company seemed to be the only one concerned about the heat wave and the fact my husband and I and our 2 dogs have been in a house that's 85 degrees. Ed pushed for the job to get started tomorrow. All 4 other companies I called said it would be 2-3 weeks. They actually went down into our crawl space to check our ducts, the other company that came out didn't do that but said we needed new ducts that would cost close to $5000. We are so pleased with this company, and they beat all other quotes by at least $2000-$3000. Thank you guys so much!! read more

This review a long overdue. A few couple of Presidents Days back the power went out in our area and when it came back on the fan on our furnace (that we hadn't used in years) decided to turn on and wouldn't turn off. Fearing the furnace would pump our house full of gas I turned off the gas to the furnace and had to listen to the fan continue to run until I was able to call someone to look at it. The first person I was able to get a hold of that morning was Randy and he was able to come by that same morning and take a look. While he was here we asked if he could look at our ac unit as well and he did. He gave us our options and when we told him we wanted both the furnace and ac units replaced he had a quote to us within a week. Upon agreeing on the work he quoted us that the work might take a few days. He was able to knock it out in a day. All the while he was easy to get a hold of via, text, phone and email. Thanks again Randy and sorry for the late review. read more

First and foremost I would like to say how efficient this company is. I called around looking for a reputable company, and had several estimates given. After reviewing all my options this company gave me the best deal and we're very honest, reliable, and efficient. I dealt with Niko directly, he was very professional but also personal with a pleasant personality. Once we decided on what unit to get the date was scheduled they came in early in the morning and had the job done within a matter of hours not only did they have the job done fairly efficiently they also make sure that nothing was left behind everything was put back into place and the unit is working proficiently. All I can say is five stars all across the board some efficiency to time management it's also being able to respond back to the client in need. I even called Niko on a Sunday, I couldn't figure out the new thermostat and he called me back within a matter of seconds. AWESOME EXPERIENCE 5 STARS serves and product. Thank you so much. I'll be referring to everyone. read more

We have used Randy at both of our homes in the tri valley area. Their customer service cannot be beat: friendly, efficient, and fair prices.
