I received a text at 5pm on the 20th reading that the trip was confirmed. An hour later I received another text reading that the trip was canceled due to a mechanical issue with the boat. I called Harvey Wall (boat captain) several times without an answer. At the least Harvey should have made other accommodations for us. The way he handled this is unbelievably unprofessional. I suggest anyone looking for a fishing charter to not book it with Harvey Wall of Salty Dawg fishing charters.

Their new fleet of Freeman boats make for an extremely comfortable and quick trip to the gulf stream! Captain Boomer and Captain Nick are very hospitable and entertaining guys! And they can fish!!! I took a trip with them last year and we caught something like 70~ dolphin, a few wahoos, and tuna. My last trip, we caught several wahoo, tuna, and dolphin. Even hooked a marlin! They are usually back at the docks at 4-5pm every day and generally draw a crowd of visitors on their porch to watch the boats empty out and clean the day's catch. An all water adventure with these guys!!

What a wonderful find while driving around after a great lunch. A calm and peaceful place where…read moreyou can watch the water and the wildlife, enjoy gentle breezes and relax in one of the many swings or benches located in the park. It is obvious that there are a lot of community volunteers that take a lot of pride in this park and make sure it is maintained. My wife said there were even fresh cut flowers in the ladies room. We ended up spending time here twice during our vacation at Myrtle Beach and I can't imagine ever coming this way again and not spending time here. The park has clean restrooms, a picnic pavilion and a playground area as well. It is popular with people for walking their dogs but it was never crowded with people or dogs when we were there. There is an observation walkway/dock over the water and a boat/fishing dock that rises and falls with the tide. There were a few fishermen using the dock as well as fishing from the Intracoastal Waterway bank each time we visited. There is a small parking lot with some additional parking nearby. There was plenty of parking when we visited.
